So these girls and boy are just going into flower. 6 females left, and a male chosen from 8. Not going to be many seeds from this run. More of a poke and prod to see overall F3 outcomes.5 points

I tried those when I 1st started growing, the 100w cost about R110 and 50w R60 from the store nearby. They can work for Veg but that's about it, all of them I had eventually blew after 2 months and they get very hot, you can burn yourself if not careful even having a fan running on it didn't help much. I probably spent R2000 on these type of lights, ac cobs and "600w" blurple LEDs and they just didnt do it when you flower and you end up disappointed, rather save for a decent LED.4 points

@Prom, @The_StonedTrooper, @GGG, @Pants, @donnob Thanks for the comments guys, definitely been an exciting 2 days now. All 3 looking pretty good, only the 1 with some pretty sad looking first leaves. I'm wondering if the Evironoc did that to them, possibly got some on the leaves while watering. I don't know. New growth looks healthy so I'm not concerned about it any more. Here's to a new week!3 points

Alright okes! What a shocker of a plant!! She is still doing Her weird shit and doesn't seem to be slowing down on the pistols! Not a fade or a brown pistol in sight - she truly has me baffled. She is the only plant that's being weird in my flower tent... And I still have no answer as to why...3 points

Looking good man! Now we just need to get those leaves a little greener as @Prom mentioned, there should be enough nutrient in the soil to sort her out for a little while. Those leaves look mighty perky though, good job! As happy as a pig seedling in s#@! FF Premium Classic3 points

yea no issues , no burnt tips or any premature yellowing, no pests and no PM, watered and fed regularly - just exhibiting all the signs of a light leak. which is also weird, because light leaks generally only cause the branch the light falls on to be weird, but this is the entire plant, every stem is dong this lol. @GGG, definitely foxtailing, but as for the heat source im not sure...i raised the light a bit as that was a previous concern, and there are no fans or heaters near her. @PsyCLown LOL i was also thinking that, the buds that have formed are nice and dense, so if the fattening happens, there will be some mad colas here2 points

The price is pretty steep for the PineLabs and I think the shipping threw me off a little too even though it seems minor in the bigger scheme of things. It's like you're already groaning about the big investment but you're still all in and wiling to bite the bullet but then they smash you with a shipping that just pushes your mind into a different direction, "the straw that broke the camel's back" scenario. I understand the quality of the PineLabs looks amazing but I think I should be aiming for a good all-rounder and bang for buck is part of that criteria for me. The BudBox looks like good value for money, despite the little nuances that piss you off2 points

The two evicted males turned out to be fine specimens.. They are days away from dropping their load. I will collect some pollin for some inhouse micro breeding for myself and then compost them. They look exactly the same but the DQxS turned purple and the DQ stayed green.. The Grape Gorilla Main Cola is still going strong.. As the RH dropped with the add of the heater fan I noticed it taking strain.. So I really hope it makes it..2 points

Howsit bro! I have used a mammoth tent in the past, a small one, quality is pretty decent but mine also had some light leaks on the zipper. If you properly line up the zipper strip in the inside(not sure if you know what i am referring too) then it solves the issue. Didn't really come with any extras either. I have recently bought a mars hydro tent, I see they have a new version available which is the one I got. I love this tent. Feels super solid and much better than the Mammoth. When I was looking I was deciding between, Mammoth, Mars and Secret Jardin and BudBox SJ was too expensive for me so I went with Mars over the mammoth as the Mars had extra height. I am so glad I went with the new spec Mars tent, I really love it. Came with 2 floor liners(Don't know if I just got lucky), a patch repair kit and a hangable pouch for inside the tent and some awesome stickers lol I also like that the mars has metal connectors vs the plastic ones that come with the mammoth. I have no advice on the budbox though, was also an option for me but could not get any solid recommendations so decided against taking a chance.2 points

Hey @PsyCLownhope you well. So for the organics I'm mainly using RO water in a 50L flexi tank. Once a week I ll turn the system off and let the plants drink whatever water is in the tray for a day I will than top feed them with some dirty hands bio boost and bio nitro, with Silica dosage also once a week and separate day from the Bio boost & Nitro. I'm not sure how the silica will mix with the bio boost and bio nitro so I decided to do it on a separate day. Will ammend again before the flip and continue using RO water in the res for organics For synthetics im using silica, umyas cal mag, and the NutriGold range (Previously Known as Nutriplex) changing the res once a week2 points

It's time for a new journey & a new diary, & let me be completely honest I was going to do this diary once I had reached harvest with pics and video and skip the all boring veg phase, but I soon found myself with a lot more work and a lot more content than Id like so I thought let me start this diary and update it on a monthly bases. OK so what are we doing this time? SETUP: We doing 15L & 20L autopots A side by side of organic and synthetic Organics are setup using 12mm lead piping and valve 5s Syntheic is setup using 6mm lead pipe with standard valves MEDIUM: For synthetics we going with perlite & coco (washed and buffered a week before potting) For organics going with coco & perlite ammended with malted barley, kelp meal, guano, frass, dolomite, biochar, aloe, alfalfa & Bokashi STRAINS: The strains will be Super Silver, K-2, Zkittlez & original glue by @Marijuana Seeds SA & Nirvana LIGHTS: This time we pulling out the Mars Hydro SP 3000 from the start with the help from the Leon 200, that's more than enough power in the hood for this grow I started off germination with some water in a cup and after 2 days potted in coco on a heat mat for 2 weeks in the dome with very light feed every 4 days 5 days later... All but 2 didn't sprout. Well.. One was very late to the party the other one never showed face so I decide to pop anther zkittlez seed At the end of 2 weeks they were ready to be trasplanted into their final pots Right side synthetics. Left side organics. At this point I had to top feed for at least 2 weeks before the roots were established in the Autopot system After 2 weeks of top feeding its was finally time to turn on the systems Some nice socks for the ladies.. Looks more like a water tube.. (well they are going for a swim after all) Zkittlez & Original Glue first week of veg1 point

foxtailing has also genetical roots... and that is usually a sign for high potency material. Dont think is heat stress... not in your tent. If Totemic didnt notice such behavior before, would say is a natural mutation. Let her finish and check1 point

I would recommend to wash & buffer your coco regardless if you purchased a "washed and buffered" coco. As @PsyCLownmentioned wouldn't flush with plain water, a very low nute dosage probably a quarter of the recommended dosage will get you around 200 - 250 ppm if using RO water, that will do the trick.1 point

I just realized that I have been reading the measurements completely wrong all this time. I for some reason thought the buffering was per 10 litre and not 1 litre. So I am currently on day 11 of flowering. Still a slight deficiency (not major) but plants still growing fast. Would I be able to give them a flush with clean water, then buffer with the correct calmag for a day (1g/litre), then continue them on their feeding schedule into flowering?1 point

@donnob I have not really looked to see whether there is any difference in temps between the Budbox and Mammoth tent. The Budbox comes with metal corners and the polesall clip and lock into place - very nice and easy to setup and the poles are powder coated black and are thicker than what the Mammoth and Secret Jardin came with. I have seen the Pinelab tents for sale, but recall them being really expensive. Would be curious as to how they compare to a Budbox for instance. Never seen one in person. The things which frustrate me on my Budbox are mainly the pull ties, it is not as easy to pull them as the one material seems to be a grippy material. Not the end of the world as it is not something I adjust often. Then the zip to open the right side completely can be a bit frustrating to work with - I see there is a metal zip version and a plastic zip version. The plastic zip version is easier to work with compared to the metal zip version. When I say frustrating to work with, to unzip is easy and to zip up is easy, it is aligning both sides of the tent to be able to start zipping it up. For some reason the plastic zip is just easier to get aligned.1 point

I have a Mars hydro and Mammoth tent. happy with both. No issues. Pine Lab tents are top of the range if you are looking to invest. Zephyr Farms sells them.1 point

that is a fast bounce back ^^ let them dry, then go 2ml per liter grow right away.. they need some more green Nice job, you saved em1 point

I have a Budbox tent (same as the one you listed) and it is awesome! Overall the best tent I have used to date, not perfect though. A few things do frustrate me but not the end of the world. A friend has a Mars tent and the quality seems good and he really likes it. The GT Hydro tents were not great quality to begin with. Mammoth isn't bad, but I feel they are overpriced for the quality. I was disappointed with mine as it has light leaks via the zip from factory and small, skinny poles which rust easily. Secret Jardin tents I had were not bad either, but there is a difference between the Hydro Shoot series and the Dark Street series. The latter being the better tent and a bit pricier, comes with some nice features but I prefer my Budbox overall. I'd take Secret Jardin over Mammoth if either were a consideration.1 point

Just saw this post now. Being in cannabis you learn to grow trust issues, but its a basic human requirement, trust. Without a doubt, Skunk, Durban is used as a marketing tool and probably most strains available have nothing to do with the original name. Skunk for instance became famous in the UK as it was used by police in media and generally was used to refer to highgrade indoor, Skunk/Chronic. So what happened, smokers would ask their dealers for the real skunk. You have to filter through the BS, read up on people with street cred ( Maljim, Todd McCormick, Joseph Pietri, Mel Frank, Sam the Skunkman, Mowgli Holmes ) find out about the strains and then start growing them.1 point

What an epic weekend, meeting old and new cannabis activists and sharing cannabis culture together. Hard to express the feelings experienced and to be honest it was a very smokey hazey weekend from sunrise to the early hours of the morning. There were about 10 prizes for the growers cup entries, and the overall winner was such a gentleman on top of his craft. Turns out it was a team of two, judges only found out names a couple hours before the announcing of the winners. About 28 strains in total to go through. The winner, Cannaporium from Knysna, took the overall cup with their indoor hydro mandarin cookies. Deon below came to enjoy the festivities the day after the win and we partied and managed to get some pictures with him and his cup. Aaptwak, speed roller 3.2 seconds, had an exciting rolling competition on the final day. I entered my first rolling comp and shaved off 4 seconds off my time. I was hoping to break 10 seconds and did my best kingsize roll at 7.6 seconds, coming in second. RastaOne from Knysna took the belt and title for a 6.5 second roll and his brother came in 3rd. Looking forward to next years event, bigger and better. The old oppikoppis were madness, I barely remember my one attendance. Any of you guys ever go to the Woodstock festival in JHB, they stopped about 14 years ago. The last one was insane in the membrane, police, busts, weed, reggae, hemp and the very stealth cannabis cup on another farm. Mad times, sitting in the rain chatting with a dude coming down from LSD, packing up tents.1 point

Thanks for the response dude. Appreciate it. So currently I am using the Hard water Micro as I live in central PTA. Well that's the recommendation as apparently we have harder water here (when I test my tap it says 0.2EC and the PH is usually like 6.8). This depends though because the PH does fluctuate a little. I definitely think that the one strain seems to be handling it alot better than the other purely because of genetics. I moved away from buying bags of ready made soils as it wasn't consistent and I would get a hot soil now and then. Also I wanted to save money. I see alot of the guys sell ready made coco perlite mixes which then cost the exact same as the living soils. So for me I feel like it's a bit of daylight robbery. Either way. Just trying to become better with the coco and understanding it. Great tip to use a little more micro and possibly my buffering might be too low. I just followed what they said on the pack. Here is an attached screenshot. Seems as though the buffering would be the same as the maintenance. I have attached a screenshot from GThydro and I am pretty sure the Solid calmag from Hydroponic.co.za is the same1 point
