  1. So took this pic last night quickly, this is what the flower tent looks like currently - looks a bit overgrown to be honest. lol The original plants are around 4 weeks into flower, bud is starting to form, frost is starting to build up and the tent smells delicious!

  5. I follow them on insta. I reckon it's a good idea. The local breeders are bringing fire. The upside to local genes is that it's tried and tested in a relevant climate. I've found alot of my imported beans are PM magnets, even though they are rated as mold resistant #supportlocal

  6. Went to a top growshop in Newton Park, Port Elizabeth today, The Gro Bro. Friendly, welcoming smile, clean shop, packed with indoor and outdoor products. The owner Hugo is a gem, keen to answer questions, show you around, talk about the best products for your growing needs. I was introduced to him via Sunshine Coast Genetics, another gem and had a lekker long conversation about growing cannabis, preventative maintenance, nutes etc. Loved the fact that he specializes in organics, his preferred method, however he does stock synthetics too for the commercial dudes. Saw many top brands in the shop, GH, Biobizz, Dirty Hands, Organic Matters, Umya Nutrients, the trim bin bag, some futuristic life time warranty grinders made from medical grade plastic endorsed by Snoop!!! And then my favorite, a top shelf of Fullmelt Filtration Bubble bags. I was sold, I knew this is my new favorite local grow shop. If you in the area, looking for knowledgeable service with a smile, Hugo at the Gro Bro is your man. 10 Frank Street, Newton Park. I will be back for sure.

  7. Normal mail, the idea is to see what customs do with the shipment. Is fully declared and a paper inside, free samples. After the draft... that is legal. Lets see...

  8. Only the best muti is being used! Rhino horn, shark fins and the cherry on the top being ground up umbilical cord from a baby. On a real note, lights, nutrients and environment lead to happy plants, combined with some good genetics and the results speak for themselves. I think I might, will take another look from different angles as well and see what it looks like and what sort of light penetration the leaves are allowing at the moment. Do not want to get rid of all the leaves, but do not want excess leaves. Also not going to lie, mission and a half to get in there and work with the plants now due to their height, the fact they're sticky already and the automatic watering system at the bottom limits me from moving the pots to make space.

  9. about 18 months ago I got a whoooole bunch of seeds from Trophy, all singles shipped in little round tin containers with Trophy lables on and with breeder and strain names written in pen, each seed individually packed in a small plastic container. So no breeder packaging, but I guess cause they where all singles... at first I was pissed about not getting the original packaging, popped the seeds had 100% germ and the strains was definitly what it said on the lables... Had a whole bunch of different breeders aswell. Dutch passion, barneys farm, seeds man and others and I got 2 different Ethos strains. You could clearly see the difference in quality of breeder aswell. Guess I was just lucky.

  10. we should do anything and everything in our power as growers and enthusiasts to support the locals. if by any stretch you find the SA cannabis scene to not be up to standards, it's supporting local that will get us there.

  11. i have a 30 seeds shipment on the run with Jerry, no stealth, fully declared THC seeds, testing what will happen. Just in accordance with the law. Checking what customs do and if they let it pass, Fastbuds will limit max orders to SA to 30 seeds but ship official. Post office just useless... 3 to 4 months those mailing easy take till delivery... not sure that slow service you can call a mail service

  14. It's a pleasure joining you guys! I am fairly new to the scene... My growing adventures started just before legalization, and I have not looked back since. Have recently gained a profound interest in breeding and genetics preservation. Currently growing: Autoflowers: Gelat OG (Seedsman) and Fastberry (Fastbuds) Feminized: Laughing Buddha (Barney's Farm) and Charlotte's Angel (Dutch Passion) Looking forward to learn and grow! ; )

  18. Yebo PsyClown, its what i have to work with. a hit of Carbon on the smoke side, i have instant approaching asma. My lungs have cavitated from having TB. It is activation with heat and it vapourises/atomises but i get meds that way, aaand a hit. Also use a Pax3 to vape flowers, and that is at like 110C in the oven. But i prefer oil. Trying to see how long it takes me to regrow part of what i lost. Dealing with scaring is the biggest issue. So getting high helps. Anybody else doing meds application in a big way? The different experiences are great to discover.

  20. Correct, that is per fan. Courier will be for the buyers expense. I have the box for one of them still, can find a box for the 2nd one if both need to be shipped.

  21. Just BHO? So you're basically dabing, but at slightly lower temps than a typical dab right?

  22. Why not, will be good for a seedbank to stock a lot of the local breeders stock - easy way for growers to find and explore local breeders stuff. If someone wants to do an all local grow, Cannabist can be the one stop seedbank then.

  23. 165x170x70 hmm well dude I was using a 6inch fan like this in a 80x80x180 tent! but I wired it to the lowest setting. I see this fan that @Prom is selling has a similar electric panel, but just confirm that you can indeed wire for different speeds. @CG420za if you can wire the speeds this will be perfect for your tent.

  25. Yeah, definitely start stocking and promoting local genetics! I've got a pack of Head Honcho genetics I still need to plant. Planning to do a "locals only" tent in the near future.

  26. Thanks bud, appreciate the added insight, I didn't know that. Lil' feckers Definitely the soil I added on top, can't see where else they may have come from. I will finish this run and then also give the tent a good clean. I usually do after every run. Thanks bud, I quite like that rule of thumb. I would need to look back on pics and see where she was at when I flipped to flower. I usually transplant just before flower and then don't touch her again. This gives them nice room to grow in for flower. I may be lacking knowledge here or not understanding. I am feeding the microbes, but I am not feeding microbes. Are you able to get beneficial microbes in SA? I know state side and Canada side you can get those things to add to the water, that then eat larvae etc. Not sure if that is what you are getting at? Thanks

  27. Day 65 into flower. Tricomes are for the most part cloudy/milky with no real amber yet except a few on the sugar leaves... So I thought this might make a good experiment to determine the amount of milky vs amber that I like for future runs. So I decided to chop the clones and leave the mothers for a couple more days.. Wedding Gelato clones will be chopped with the mothers. Uppercut Purple Queen Glookies Hang Time Clearing out

  28. The indoor comes rather nice.. and I like the little work there is to trim and dress at harvest ^^ Meet K ^^ and some of the clones. I run different BioBizz setup and curious if I get more yield on that tray. the white spots are wind damage.. just to explain the not green area so far happy

  29. Cool, I have the same 75w lights from growopz but I bought mine 2 years ago and the driverS put out some heat so I was thinking of mounting them outside, I think you have the revised version of the 75w I'm sure the drivers are also upgraded. Thanks Bro

  33. I am interested to see some information to substantiate this claim. Isopropyl is practically pure alcohol, toxic when accidentally ingested in large quantities sure, much like whiskey or brandy or any other 43% forms of alcohol, sold over the counter at your NBS, you would just need to ingest a lot more due to most isos being 90%+ alcohol, more than double what's available over the counter in a liquor store. Iso is by no means toxic for extraction, perhaps not as effective as ethanol, but still a very clean method of extraction. Butane on the other hand is a different story, personally I'm not a fan of BHO for this very reason. Butane extractions can be 'cleaned' using iso, and made purer using ethanol as a third step, but now we're talking some seriously pure extract, too expensive for most DIYers.
