  1. I sure will keep you posted, and sorry to hear about the WPM, not nice at all. Still have the RB on the go now, from the competition I won here a year ago, also a Reg and not sure yet, but it's going for it, strong so far. Maybe will gift these new RB pack of 3 to the forum as a gift, possibly for the most popular new member of the month, and or biggest contributor for the month, something different and keep the energy up.

  2. I was working in the tent with the Gelato selection, removing abandoned fan leaves for ... an hour. When I left the tent, my right arm was rather sticky and the smell made me imagine to wrap a paper around it and set it on fire. Thank god, I still got my right arm without any burn marks .. those plants are part of the Gelato I tackle the potency record at Canabliss.. lets see if I fail 28 March ^^ is fat in my agenda No1 (Sativa Dream, at least to me hehehe) No2, i had em praying from start to finish (fingers crossed, about 10 days to go). But temperatures escaped me a few times over 26 (<10 times), never over 28. Winter harvest might have more punch... so far I am a happy chap Meet E, she is one of my favorites in my Gelato pheno hunt. And just if you ask yourself... if I don't have a goal, i get bored

  7. Well Fam, this morning my parcel from GSR arrived, within expected time and have been blessed with some extras (pictured on the right) Soon, I will start a grow diary on the Humboldt, and the GSR strains below, and will run you through from the birth to harvest. Really hope you all enjoy and follow with on the adventure and learn, guide and probably even laugh with me. Thank you again to Green Smoke Room and to my family for taking the time to read and or follow along with me. Blessings StickyD420

It looks rough because its been moved around alot and we break off and collect the pollen of about half of the pollen sacks. You simply break them off into a glass jar. 9. Week 9. A few additions to the cupboard, 240W light, exhaust fan and scrog net. Did the last top dress and switched to 12/12 today. Feed alternates between plain water and molasses/seagro mix. I'm thinking of getting a bloom booster for weeks 3-7 of flower, will probably go with this https://zootly.co.za/product/freedom-farms-fire-juice-500ml/

  10. Josh D's story is that he got the "kush" cut from Matt "Bubba" Berger, who flew it in from Florida. Everyone started calling everything Kush so they named it original kush. I grew up in Cali, never even heard of the term Ocean Grown before the internet, always thought it meant original.

  11. Worm tea can definately be used on cannabis. The NPK ratio will depend on what the worms are fed, so will vary greatly. As per the interweb the general NPK seems to be 1-0-0, its true value is as micro innoculant. I normally use my tea as a general plant tonic and microbial innoculant at 50/50 dilution with water. It contains many macro/micro nutrients, humic and vulvic acids-all round its great for your plants.

  12. Fishmix or Grow... not at the same time both! Swap each feeding. Once Fish, next Grow..

  13. To help keep the seedling up, you could use some twist ties, paper clip or even toothpicks to help support it. They can all be stuck in the coco and then positioned so that the seedling leans against that and is not on the floor. Hopefully she pulls through and survives, but being an auto any stunting can lead to decreased yield. Photoperiods are generally better for beginners to start with - if there is a mistake or two, you have time to correct it before flowering the plant and can still obtain a decent yield.

  14. The ferts you said you have are unfortunately not ideal for fast growing plants like weed... The time it takes to break down the food into usable elements will just take too long... A liquid fert is better. On a budget, seagrow and nitrisol are champ and you can get it almost everywhere. Otherwise check out the biobizz range of liquid ferts... Pricy... But oh so good

  15. @Keegan We agree with both @Bos and @CreX Your best options will Pyrol or Neem, the BioGrow brand provides both those products if you want to do some online research. They are known to be one of the organic options lately for pest control

  16. looks like some kind of bug damage. likely whitefly or thrips damage. you are going to need some neem oil or pyrol . and by the looks of it you should pick up a bottle of nutrients while you are at the nursery. what strain are you growing there?

  17. Love their new packaging, looks slick. I grew their Durban crosses last season and had a nice harvest. Big ups to GSR. Powdery mildew is rife this year, was in someones garden today and pointed out their 2.5 meter beauties have powdery mildew all over. And guess what, the grower wont do anything about it, and still smoke and sell it. Talking about that, there is a new product coming to shops soon, was chatting with the guys in Jozi yesterday, it sounds crazy, cant even remember what its based on, but its a harmless fungicide.

  18. Not much has changed. Its still the same here, lots of eccentrics, hippies, artists. Dont worry , the specific asswipe will probably have left by the time you get here. He had the nerve to bring police to my house last week and try make friends. Oldschool rocks.

  19. Yeah we have some barefooted, dreadlocked dodgy shroom dealers now, not the old original hippies. Shout when you in the area it would be nice to meetup, actually we having a cannabis social meetup soon if you are interested.

  20. I know exactly where, and that is even better, I love a good road trip and we must definitely make a plan, also knew a guy there a few years back selling shrooms. But just to chat to someone with your knowledge and passion would be an honor to me, thank you Chris.

  22. Keen to see how your Rooi Baard turns out. I was gifted some Rooi Baard from someone who got it from GSR. I germinated 3 and 1 was female but when I put her outside she got crazy PM even though the plants next to it had nothing so decided to chuck it.

  23. You think simply growing by the ocean magically makes a strain an OG? Strain's became popularized because of the black market and later medical, and those black markets growers used clone only cuttings to deliver consistent quality. Florida's cut of OG kush is called Triangle Kush, a lot of the cuts stem from the same genetics and are just named after the region or grower who held them. When people refer to "OG Kush", they generally mean one of the elite cuttings. So to have OG kush, you either need to get a clone of the elite cuts or get genetics directly from one of the elite cuts that are considered "OG kush". In my opinion at least. This article might be more clear of Josh D's story. https://www.humboldtseeds.net/en/blog/story-og-kush/

  25. I grew up in Orange County, I don't really agree with everything. I just think it's the story with the most evidence to back up the claims. In interviews Josh D says they wanted to change the name from Kush because it wasn't a true Kush varietal from Afghanist, etc. I think it's highly likely it was chemdog that made it way to California and Florida through different cuts.

  26. there are threads on the internet that go into depth about how there is only one god too

  27. In the book I read that discussed the topic it mentioned that the fact that not many cannabis plants love coastal conditions, this term was used to make classification easier, to add to the names of strains that are coastal tolerant. which makes a ton of sense.

  30. Fert wise, Biobizz range is good-Grow, Bloom and Fishmix. Seagrow and Ecobuz multigrow also good and available from Builders and most nurseries.

  31. Im thinking the same thing in regards to the coco being abit iffy from builders. I did not buffer the coco, did not even know that was a thing until this morning. Ordered some buffered coco from hydroponics. Will most definitely also get some explogro or trichoderma. On saying that the double choc is looking WAAAAYYYY better then it was this morning. Definitely a underwatering issue.

  32. Good info @Marijuana Seeds SA! Only thing I will add change is neem is suseptable to heat and light... So only spray very very early morning, at least an hour before any direct sun... Or late afternoon when it's already cooling down and no more direct sunlight. Also, I would go in at the low end of recommended strength... Which is I think 10-20ml per litre, so 10ml... If you make it too weak the solution won't be as effective

  33. Thanks, I'll look into it, I actually just have some basil seedling that I planted in a bag near it so I might just put them in this bag with her.

  34. Oh ok thank I wasn't sure If I had to spray it on the leaves or if I just had to pour it into the soil, thanks. I'll spay it when I get home from work. Do you have any fertilizers that you recommend that are easy to come by at like the hardware shop for budding plants cause I have two other big plants that are flowering right now.

  35. Okay! update, seems like every hour it gets enough strength to stiffen up. Im adding small items beneath the tweezer to bring it up abit. Seems like the chances of survival are there. Note to remember for myself, im either over watering and killing the poor things or im underwatering and killing the poor things XD lesson learnt

  36. Aweh, from the photo those white marks look like thrip damage to me. There is also some sign of leaf borer but they are ok in small numbers. What have you got for pest management? Pyrol or neem will work for the thrips.

  37. The story I've read while researching the origins of OG is something along the lines of. Dude was growing or knew the breeder that was growing along the California coast, some real good stuff. So this dude was sitting around at a party smok'n up a storm and recognized his strain/flavour. Asks the question ' hey where's this stuff from '? Guy replies it's Mountain Grown. Dude answers back ' na, it's Ocean Grown, it's my strain '. Fack or fiction? There are so many different opinions but above and Original Gandsta are the two main arguments. 38. Bro choose fish or grow.... Not both. You are heading for N toxicity and lockout if you continue with both. Bloom only gets used from week 3 of flower... Are you using it already? The biobizz chart assumes a flip to 12/12 with first 2 weeks on chart equal first 2 weeks of preflower, and from week 3 on chart is day 14 of flower If these are photoperiod plants, then you stick to the week 2 part of the schedule throughout veg, but choose one of the veg nutes not both. Then from the start of your 3rd week of flower.. Day 14, then you start with bloom.. The chart also doesn't stop with the veg nutes, while I personally drop them from the start of the 6th or 7th week

  41. Week 8. Looking happy under temporary 60W flood light. Next step for the cupboard is to cut intake and exhaust holes, and lightproof the doors. I ordered an inline fan, ducting, and a new light this week. Carbon filters are out of stock everywhere

  43. Hiya @Cannabist, and other members reading this thread, not directed at @Cannabistalone... Perspective. From the consumers point of view now. We paid for a premium product, we expect one. Most of us have honour so we don't sit around plotting to rob seed banks, ja those arse holes do exist, I accept that, but then you have to accept that there are sum dodgy dealers/seedbanks/resellers? I think the point is this, imagine if they did replace the OPs seeds, then he would be here giving a shout out to these guys and others like myself would go check them out...A happy customer will send you other prospects. Also forums like this exist, so that WE can all help each other learn...why make the mistake yourself, rather learn from those more wiser than you, and nothing can beat first hand experience, good and bad... What ever happened to customer care? Ps, if I'm not mistaken the OP had a similar experience but was replaced by fast buds themselves, I stand corrected on this. That's what I call customer ❤ Personally I will only ever buy seeds that come in breeder packs, directly from the breeder, sealed with a tracking number from the breeder that you can go verify for yourself online, just like those from @Sacred Seeds, Merlin u rock man! See thats me giving a shout out to these okes, customer care was tops! But it was @Bakstein420 who told me about sacred seeds and so on and so on and it was @Stinger96 who told me about the forum in the first place, and so on and so on..

  46. Also did a bit of harvesting of another kind. Been dabbling in chilli sauces, smokey jalapeno and cayenne and very soon a batch of hot habanero. The last of our tomatoe harvest, getting too hot on the north coast for them now. Sweetest sweet potatoes we ever tasted, grew in 50/50 canabis soil and sand mix in a 75lt tub.

  47. @Totemic I set my veg light for 24/7, and I'm keeping it that way,. Its always been on 18/6. And I'm sticking to photo's from now on. I learned a lot about recessive genes these last few days. I learned why a third of my F3's looked like a completely different pheno and me thinking I was hit with stray pollen shelved them. And i realized my mission going forward is the duck foot gene. Having that recessive gene in a stable regular would be something to work for. In the early days we just cranked up the heat, to look for hermies and a few got pulled. We haven't had any problems with herms so far. We are finally at the point where we are crossing males from Dark horse and solfire gardens with dutch passion and humboldt genetics. This mistake wont happen again.
