  1. Cut down the Alien OG a while ago and the rest of the plants have had very little issues with WPM since. Veg tent doing well, gonna be moving the White Afghan Skunk into the greenhouse soon. Quite impressed with the Orient Express, filled out to a nice size and had little issues with some of the troubling conditions. The constant rain seems to have stopped and it should be able to be harvested in a few weeks. The Crescendo clones and Dirty Banana seem to be doing just fine. The Sakura looking quite frosty, read that the Pre-98 bubba needs a lot of Veg time to produce big buds, definitely going to do that next time, but I accomplished my main goal of more seeds.
  2. White Afghan Skunk has been put in a new home and the Congo, Ortega, and headbanger seem to be doing fine, final headbanger popped and is in the small pot in the back. I also popped an Uber by Cannarado Genetics just in case. Ortega definitely showing its Indica heritage. I love looking at the Orient Express, very nice growth with little issues. It started out with thick leaves but the latest leaves are really thin. Hope some of the Sakura pollen got to it. The clones seem to be doing alright, while the Alien OG is having issues. It seem really susceptible to WPM and seems to have fox-tailed. Going to be applying some double nickel to hopefully solve some issues. The Sakura is looking really good, seems like a perfect strain for small spaces. Definitely seems to have been seeded by the Sakura male, so hope all goes well with that. Had an order placed for some AK Bean Brains seeds from America, I will be really happy if those seeds get shipped here with no issue.
  3. The Northern Berry Gold has been chopped, bud washed, and is currently drying. Tried a tester nug of the Glueberry Og and it had nice heavy effects, for some reason it tasted like a Watermelon Jolly Rancher on the exhale from a vape to me, hope it keeps that taste after the cure. The three Congo, three Ortega, and two headbanger have sprouted properly. I dug around the last headbanger and it has a long tail so I nudged it more to the surface and I just hope it takes. The tester seed that survived seems to have decided to disappear, I dug around and couldn't find it at all, which makes no sense but whatever. Just need to transplant the White Afghan Skunk to a bigger pot soon.
  4. Since the testers largely failed to germinate, only got 1 seed to show a taproot so far, I think that batch of seeds got damaged in international shipping. Hopefully the survivor will be a female and sprout properly. To replace them, I've soaked and planted 3 seeds of Congo by Ace Seeds, 3 seeds of Ortega by Mr. Nice, and 3 seeds of Headbanger by Karma Genetics. White Afghan Skunk still going nicely, should be joined by some companions soon. This should be the Ace Orient Express, also showing no problems. I cut down the Glueberry Og a bit early and gave it a budwash last week, saw some PM on the leaves again and just decided to cut it down as the constant load-shedding at the worst times has not been helping. The Northern Berry Gold will come down tomorrow probably, showing amber in the buds. Alien OG starting to frost up. Really like the structure of the Sakura, nice and compact.
  5. Seems according to phylos genetic mapping, OG Kush is related to Chem91 and two cuts submitted by Robert C. Clarke, who is is a cannabis researcher, called "Ghani" and "Thailand". Speaking of OG, probably the best weed I ever had was an OG that came into a med club in Orange County that was probably named after the county it came from, like Recetta OG or something. I could never find any info on it, but the effects were so good. One hit and before you even exhaled, the full blanket of effects had already hit and transported you to where you want to be, but you just kept smoking because it so good. It was also just like the first hit every time, tolerance didn't seem to matter. I smoked that for weeks before it was gone forever, I imagine that was the real deal cut or close to it.
  6. You think simply growing by the ocean magically makes a strain an OG? Strain's became popularized because of the black market and later medical, and those black markets growers used clone only cuttings to deliver consistent quality. Florida's cut of OG kush is called Triangle Kush, a lot of the cuts stem from the same genetics and are just named after the region or grower who held them. When people refer to "OG Kush", they generally mean one of the elite cuttings. So to have OG kush, you either need to get a clone of the elite cuts or get genetics directly from one of the elite cuts that are considered "OG kush". In my opinion at least. This article might be more clear of Josh D's story. https://www.humboldtseeds.net/en/blog/story-og-kush/
  7. He never said he started it, he just received the cut as "kush" and helped popularize it as he felt it was special. No one really knows the true genetics, we can only speculate and see who was holding the true elite clone only cuts to get an idea.
  8. I grew up in Orange County, I don't really agree with everything. I just think it's the story with the most evidence to back up the claims. In interviews Josh D says they wanted to change the name from Kush because it wasn't a true Kush varietal from Afghanist, etc. I think it's highly likely it was chemdog that made it way to California and Florida through different cuts.
  9. Josh D's story is that he got the "kush" cut from Matt "Bubba" Berger, who flew it in from Florida. Everyone started calling everything Kush so they named it original kush. I grew up in Cali, never even heard of the term Ocean Grown before the internet, always thought it meant original.
  10. He was connected to the original crew that spread the cut to LA earlier.
  11. There was literally no backstory in that, just a story with no evidence. Josh D's story seems pretty verified and is the most vetted. https://tv.dopemagazine.com/josh-d-farms/
  12. Pretty sure the OG just stand for original, it was just called Kush and when other cuts started calling themselves kush, they named it the original kush, at least that's what I remember Josh D saying. Lineage probably from a bagseed of chemdog from Tahoe at a grateful dead concert, and chemdog itself came from bagseed of dog from connections at a grateful dead concert.
  13. The clones and the White Afghan Skunk seem to be doing well. The Sakura male, I have one female sakura as the other seemed to have hermed from heat stress probably so I chopped it. I'll try and store some pollen and maybe let it go to town on one of the crescendo clones. Norther Berry Gold doing good, PM seems under control but still watching out for it. Prepped for the tester seeds, hope all goes well on that end.
  14. I was just looking through their collection, as I was looking into the best chem in seed form. Guerilla Fume, Double Krush, Dog Patch, and Hunza Valley 91 seem to be what I'm most interested in.
