Small update. GDP is ripening up nicely. Starting to see mostly cloudy trichomes, busy waiting for that amber. I'd like to see half amber trichomes before cutting. Royal Gorilla is still a ways away, plenty of fattening up to do and trichomes are still clear and small. I think I won't ripen the Royal Gorilla as much as the GDP, maybe as soon as I spot a single amber I will cut. GDP RQS2 points

Dusted off the 'ol DSLR and took some vanity shots of the ladies. Also wanted to get a closer look at the colours and trichome development. I like the colour coming from the GDP. The Royal Gorilla still has work to do. GDP RQS2 points

No no, think you misunderstood. The jojo tanks are connected to the gutters but currently the water inside of the tanks are used to top up the pool. I now use the tank water (rain) to water the plants, not chlorinated pool water.1 point

Coco really isn't difficult to grow in or work with. A good soil will be forgiving as it has amendments to help buffer the PH and there are nutes in the soil and preferably some microbes which will break down the organic matter and continue producing more nutes etc. With a coco & perlite mix, you cannot over water your plants. If you do coco with fertigation then growth could be quicker than with soil. @Prom yeah, if you can get a quality pen which does it all then go for it. I think I paid like R250 for my PPM pen and then R850 I think for my PH pen, I have an HM Digital one and its' awesome. Certainly get proper storage solution and take car of your pen, rinse it off after taking measurements in high EC solutions etc. etc. I have never considered rain water, so have not looked into it. I have also never considered growing indoors in soil without nutes and if you are using soil inoculations you certainly do want to have a PH pen as that drops the PH quickly! Depending on what nutes you are using, EC / PPM is not needed although something like Hortimix I would recommend it as there isn't a proper chart provided. If the nutes and dosage you are using brings the PH down to the right level, then its easy and quicker - but the process for me has always been the same regardless of whether its for soil or coco. I have never had any loss at all, regardless of my medium. I do not understand how you guys find soil less work than coco... The experience has been about the same for me. Mix nutes, PH and feed to plants. Regardless of whether it is for coco or soil - what has saved me a looot of time is moving over to an automatic watering system as watering by hand is a ball ache and takes quite a lot of time. I now just mix my nutes in a tub, and it gets fed to the plants automatically - takes me around 10 minutes maybe as my tape is a bit slow to fill and I have to put the water into a bucket and then pour it into my res but still lot quicker than when I was watering by hand which would easily take me 45min.1 point

I ended up discovering that the spray top fits regular sized bottles. Plants have been treated and they seem to be doing well. Thanks guys1 point

Geez what a crok of shit!! It's been months since anyone even noticed them... They seem locally manufactured as the rest of the world is completely oblivious to its existence... The website still doesn't have a decent breakdown of elements and it has a R420 price tag... Talk about baited as fuck!! For the price I would rather stick to tried and tested nutrient formulations and not infoless swamp juice @Ill_Evan, shot for the mention Holmes, but my teas can't really be considered as a nutrient source, no matter how amazing they are hehe... Benificial bacteria and fungi have a home in my tents and I rate this takes all the hard work out of growing1 point

Hi all, before I start, I'm new to the forum and wanted to introduce myself, and very glad to be here among like minded people. I'm currently on my second grow and can vouch for @growopz products, not only that but his knowledge on the field and build quality are second to none, which is my personal opinion and experience with them. Look forward to sharing in the adventure with you all, and growing with you all in every way. StickyD4201 point

@Daan PosthumusThe QB-130 & 120W Luminus CXM-32 will both be R2500, and more appropriate for 80x80. People use up to 240W in 80x80, so it's all relative to expectations. The tent size just sets a max on the amount of light you can put in there before you get diminishing returns. The max is around 240W for 80x80. So an experienced grower can yield 75g+ with the QB-75. Yield correlates best to light wattage, with the QB board's efficiency important, but only accounting for max 18% difference in yield, at the same wattage. (That's calculated from the efficiency difference between running LEDs at nominal efficiency (65mA per LED) vs max power (200mA per LED). )1 point

I'd try rinse it with some hot soapy water and then I'd use to. Plastic does tend to retain smells, although I don't see it affecting your grow or the scent entering your grow. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk1 point

Thanks for the info, appreciate it. Any time @SAgrower I forgot to mention you should take a look around the buds, even inside them, the little caterpillars like to burrow their way into the buds, those buds will develop even further issues.1 point

Started tucking I wish to flip on 1 March hopefully they show enough growth in the next few days1 point

Cheers brother. I don't have mother space myself but I gave out a few cuts to friends who will hopefully keep her genes alive - I know at least one is keeping a mother. Afternoon brother if you have plants indoors under 24hr then you should slowly decrease your indoor light hours on the plants you want to move outdoors till indoor matches outdoors light schedule and this way avoiding them going straight into flower... Hope this helps or you can google Gas Latern routine which is providing those extra hours of light outdoors using a light of some kind to keep your hours up and slowly decrease them to the point daylight takes over...1 point
