  5. Image from last Sunday. One clone still looks like its fallen behind slightly. If it doesn't improve over the coming days, it will be moved to the edge and replaced with a plant of the same height. I'm considering taking out the drip trays so the herd can be packed tighter together and create some space on the sides of the tent. Not sure if this is the way, I will probably seek the sage advise of the magic 8ball. LOL! Fertigation has proved to be troublesome, We are using a 20ltr backpack sprayer in the mean time while components for an automated fertigation system are gathered. I'm away for the whole week so my Special Lady Friend is holding it down. I'm super lucky to have a partner who loves cultivation as much as me. Play together, stay together. Crit, opinion, advise, be it positive or negative is always welcome. Thanks for looking, peas!

  6. Believe it or not bru, i found the advice on an organic gardening site. The bottle contains 25000 mites housed in vermiculite, so i sprinkled a little in the pot and held the mouth of the bottle on the leaves that are most affected. Just did the mom's this morning before work. I'll do the tent tonight.

  8. Well well I'm glad to see this thread, for the past 3 grows I have only used seeds from Marijuana Seeds SA, my current grow diary consists all of nirvanas DP, Pure Power Plant, Aurora & Blue Dream, all sprouted, service is good, delivery time is good, and the quality of strains are excellent. Good work guys keep it up

  11. Small update on some of the strains I was growing and some for a second time, this time was a bit better I think, but also could have easily sparked catastrophe due to a cal/ more so mag deficiency in my soil which caused me to lose the ghost train haze (caution was thrown to the wind). Never the less the other plants snapped back well. White Wedding - Ethos Strawberry fields (one got chopped up yesterday waiting for this one to show signs) Spumoni Slurricane Blunicorn (outside testing the new soil )

  12. I am trying to pay for my solar system.. and something rather funny occurred. When I try to make the payment on Alibaba, I get a error message back from Skrill, got the Mastercard from the guys. Please contact Skrill support. Used the card before at Alibaba, all fine. So I contact support and ask, what is wrong? Answer, nothing, all is fine with your account. Try again.. I do, same error message. Contact support again, answer.. na, all good, we can't help you anymore, has to work. So why does your system refuses the transaction.. ticket closed and not by me.. is one of those stories.. morons you find everywhere. But how you tackle that issue? Their own system sends an error, support confirms that your account is fully functional.. but payment still gets rejected by their own system and support sees zero problems with that. Only movie coming to my mind reflecting where we are going is "Idiocracy" Have to add.. small amounts work fine... I suggested to check if their limit checker is working not sure they still talk with me hehehe haven't heard since. Post Office also pulled a nice one. Have 2 offices close, 5 mins driving distance.. got a pickup slip for the Milnerton office... that is a 30min traffic drive send them a mail.. i am sure you can get it closer ^^ also took them 7 days to drop the pickup slip in my letter box. Heck.. DHL moves things to Europe or China in that time Not my day...

  13. Howdy all! new to the platform, this is my 3rd grow, second indoor grow ever and I and optimistic to share my winter grow, I've got a 5x5 which I will be using as veg & flower. Picked up some beans (5 fem Cheese from Greenhouse Seeds Co), from @Cannabist they also blessed me with some free Cherry Gelato CBD Fems and @Bay Seeds reg f1 hybrids. I might plant one of those CBD as I am a medicinal smoker. I am planning on running 2-3 plants. I Listen to a lot of growing podcasts like TheDudegrows and enjoy all kinds of plant growing! I've got 50+ houseplants and also enjoy growing extremely wicked peppers. As for my setup 5x5 (not gonna use the full 5x5 area this winter grow) Living soil (looking to do a buildasoil recipe) Lighting Ive got a blurple, some 36W full spectrum t5 led tubes and some full spectrum smb chips I am hoping they will get me through some time in veg I will be building a qb from digikey or buying one in the next month or so. Hoping to hear from all of you when I start my grow journal and looking forward to share my journey!

  14. Good evening @Adansonia digitata Love the report and grow so far, one thing that I might advise on, well two things. Your trays can stay if you prefer, the plants are close enough, as it is, you going to probably run out of space and remove some, being that they will at least double in size as you send them to flower. Second is more of a thank you, for toning down the saturation on the latest picture, the previous was so bright I put my shade on (good choice of photo edit app, same as me, wink wink) Blessings

  24. So I enjoyed working with the Slurricane cut last year, and my small sample grow of the chocolate Gelato x Slurricane gave me really good phenos. Made me decide to do another run and hunt out a few male and female phenos to push the F2 generation. Going to be running them in a mix of 1l to 5l pots, FF premium, and Biobizz.

  25. Hi 420SA members. There was interest in the work that I've been getting at for the last few weeks, so I agreed to do a diary. Any guidance, advise or opinions welcome. Grow Specs Mamoth Classic 100 tent (1m² total floor space, 2m³ total). 1 x 240w quantum board. I don't think this is enough light, I'm considering adding another once I beat SARS in an ongoing cluster fuck from 2018. 2 x Ram Oscillating fans. 2 x HIT150 inline fans. One drawing filtered air from outside, the second exhausts outside to. Substrate - 40% Coir, 40%Perlite, 20% Washed silica(I like the additional weight the silica adds to the bags/pots). 5ltr Letaba plastic grow bags because the dimensions of the bag was quite appealing due to space issues. This will be my last grow using Nutriplex fertiliser program. I have a pest management program in place which consists of yellow sticky traps and a neem application every 10-14 days(not during flower). Beans were germinated at the end of Jan 2021. I selected only 2 mothers roughly 18 days later. Moms at 18 days Moms were topped and grown on for a further 20 days, then cuttings were taken. There is only one really sleg image I'm to embarrassed to share of the moms before they were mutilated. Brand new cuts Total of 12 cuts per plant were taken from each mother. l Rooted cuts 100% strike rate. The cuttings had a 50% dilution of the Nutriplex veg formulation from day 1 and received a fluvic foliar every other day. Looks like it worked. Bagged/potted cuts 4 days after the above image the plants were bagged and put into the tent. They received full strength Nutriplex veg formulation for 1 week, no issues. Which brings us round to 6 April when the below image was snapped. Plants are looking good and new growth can be seen. Thanks for looking, I really hope this grow ends well. CRIT, ADVISE and OPINION is always encouraged. Negative or positive, your feedback is valued... Particularly light and nutrition department.

  26. Ahoy fellow growmies. I've decided to start a tent thread... I'll randomly post current grow pics. It's not a journal, I suck at those. This grow started in mid Jan, but because I tried something new, my girls took very long to take off and thrive. DON'T EVER TRY TO START SEEDS IN TEA BAGS! The last pics is where I'm at now.

  27. Your title said sea of green, hence me thinking you going to run the net still and flatten the plants under the net, then you'll have serious problems. Must have missed where you said you flipped to 12/12 as I thought you in veg still. You'll still have side branches that touch the plants next to them, but you'll never get away with packing them bag to bag, not a chance. Added, there is normally a 3 week stretch, so you not half way yet through that. But you'll be okay with straight up colas, just not going to big then for the amount of veg and size before flippin.

  28. Lol, thanks dude. I have the image capture and editing skills of a potato. I don't expect it to get much better. How much bigger do you think they will get? They only had 18/6 for just over a week.

  33. LOL i also find a benifit in angling my lights like that... helped a shit load when my plants were very tall and i ran out of head space for lights... i simply angled the lights and carried on with my grow. i need to stop running so many strains... its really hurting my bottom line... i dont get a chance to learn how the plant likes to be treated before im onto the next strain that i know nothing about....ai ai ai

  36. @The_StonedTrooper yeah I’m trying to hone in on specifically amino acids because I want my uptake of nutrients during my flower stage to be as optimal as possible. Can’t afford to get an AC and/or humidier at home so will never get my humidity down to 40-50(Cape Town) which i understand to be important as it has something to do with the process of storing moisture and thereafter affects the uptake of nutrients. I’m learning as I go so thought if I’m not providing my plants the optimal environment, I could increase its ability to uptake nutrients organically to sort of balance it out. As I was pondering on how I can achieve this I saw this product (bio-heaven) that is actually exactly, what I believe, to need for the above reasons, obviously with a whole lot more. Also I read that amino acids also help the plants with environmental stress so as it’s difficult to regulate my environment other than with an inline fan and oscillating fan think it would be an added bonus

  43. Morning folks. So this past weekend was topping and training time for the mainline. This is alway a stressful exercise as you do not know how the ladies will react to the high stress training. But I am very happy to report that all the ladies took to the topping and training like champs. I initially thought that the Tortoni #1 and #2 will be a slow growers... but it looks like they were just slow out of the blocks and now catching up to the big 3 ladies. Tortoni #2 will get her topping soon. The Bubblegum looks like it will be the smallest in the tent. A true representation of a stocky Indica... The Palomino and Twisted Helix really recovered super quick from the topping and will be ready for the next top in a week or two. From the 5 plants I topped and trimmed I was able to get 34 cuttings. And they all seem to be getting on with the rooting stage. I tried something different in terms of lighting for the clone dome and it seems to work. Got LED strips from builders for cheap and just arranged it over the dome.. Palomino Twisted Helix GSC Tortoni #1 Bubblegum Tortoni #2 Tent view Clones Improvised Clone Dome

  45. I also missed this. I have just found an obscure reference to this thread elsewhere on the site, which is what led me to it. I find it quite hard to see who is growing what on this interface. It would be nice if there was a list of journals on each person's public info. Good luck with the harvest. Those buds look great.
