Hey Psy Unfortunately I haven't used a Pax before :/ This is a summary of what I know though: A solid conduction vaporiser, although frowned upon by some (because some see Pax as the Apple of the vaporiser world). The benefits of a conduction vape are that if you're coming from smoking, the transition can be somewhat easier. The Arizer vapes, for example, are convection vapes and can sometimes be a bit of a let down for those who are trying out a vape for the first time. Especially for those who smoke regularly and are used to that harsher feel on the throat. I've found that the Arizer vapes have more of a subtle feel when you're using them. Don't get me wrong they'll still get you HIGH AS FUCK, but some people prefer that harsher throat feel. With conduction, you lose out on a flavour, and you have to pack it down so that it can function at it's full potential (and that's why a lot of people tend to recommend the half-pack lids, because for a vape it can be a bit of a bud hog). But, you get big clouds. The convection vapes you don't need to pack them; literally just suck up some bud like you're using a straw, and you're good to go. But the benefits of Pax is that you shouldn't have any problems with parts or accessories (especially for us Saffers), so that's always something to keep in mind. I can't speak on behalf of the battery life. I have also heard that it can start to get a bit smelly. So, if that matters to you, then you might want to consider how often you'll be willing to clean it out properly. The Pax is probably the most discreet vape you can find (that I can think of at the moment anyway). But if you're looking for something similar.... you could also look at the Arizer Argo, Boundless CF/CFX/Tera (although the CFX and Tera are a bit on the large side, but make up for it in terms of battery life), or maybe one of the DaVinci vapes. If you're on a budget though, I really can't recommend the Dynavap enough. The M goes for about...R1500 at the moment? And yeah the torch thing (USE A BLOW TORCH LIGHTER) can be a bit of a bitch at times, but it really does perform rather phenomenally for what it is. You can go from huge bong size hits, to light tasty ones. It also uses fuck all bud, which is always a plus. But I wouldn't use it in a group session (unless it's only 2 people). I think this is probably the most relevant point though. You enjoyed using the Pax. So, you can't go wrong basically. BUT! Variety is the spice of life. Maybe something different that you haven't tried before would be even better? I dunna... Just a thought. Anyway, hope this helps. Apologies for the essay, I got carried away again. TL;DR: Figure out how you're going to be using your vape. Is it going to only be you? Are you going to be smoking at home, or more when you're out and about? Does flavour and saving bud matter to you? Is battery life something you need to take into consideration? Will it be used with a water pipe? You can just ignore all this if you wana, but I gotta say R5500 for 150watt is reeeeeeaally steep, no matter how you look at it, just to give you a few points. •the qb style is outdated, anyone spending more than around 3k on a light gona lean more away from old qb style build and rather go for a bar style. design / layout of the build can make a huge impact on growing environment. •for around 3k you can get a locally built LED qb samsung LM301h/b diodes and a Meanwell driver - currently top of the line diodes and drivers for growing plants, compiled by a team of horticultural engineers, much better diodes than osram got out. (source: https://ledgardener.com/diy-led-strip-build-designs-samsung-bridgelux/ ) •local builds sell better cause if anything breaks you can easily have it fixed in way shorter time than having to deal with imported products. and quality really is key here. if somethings imported I expect it to be cheaper or at least quality has to make up for spending so much more. in this case there are higher quality local options for cheaper. that "imported" tag shouldn't make it more expensive as it doesn't add anything to the light itself. it actually turns people away from buying it. (few options: https://www.greenhouston.co.za/products/quantum-board-led-125w ) if we looking at spending upwards to 5-6k on a qb we looking at more around 250watt. and then it's gotta have samsung diodes + it's locally made. eg. even within the line of samsung diodes there's a price differences in the LM301H and the LM261C and all the rest, and that's based on their output/efficiency. some are just better than others, I can sit here and explain to you till I am blue in the face, but I also did drop the LEDgardener source for you to have a looksee, all the info is there. people used to lean towards importing cause SA is stuck in 1950 when it comes to accessibility to top of the line products, but luckily the cannabis community don't wait on no one, we push till we make it and these days people are stocking big names locally, Migrow, Nanolux, Fluence.... those kinda brands, besides that there are plenty of local LED manufacturers that make use of the top of the line products, we even have one here on the forum, Mr.E. builds some of the craziest LED bar lights you can find locally, I come across a few others, I know LEONLED used to be popular, not sure if he is producing anymore....but yeah man, that R5500 for just 150w is like..... it's just way out. juuuuust a few pointers, all love and respect brother

@Sticks I don't mean to answer for the guy, but it's pretty clear what he is saying. By possibilty of one person buying all 4 he will look at working a discount on the total. Indicating that the 2500 is not the total of all 4. I really doubt anyone is gona sell 4 x 120w qbs for only 2500 and then give discount too he also mentions that they're brand new... the discount will come in when you take all 4. alternatively if it was 2500 for all 4 then a single would cost 625, which would then be his selling point, though you probably only gona get a flood light for that price. these lights cost a little more than normal lights. with all that said I might still be wrong

I would highly recommend to get both items they fit very well together. I have the same setup for competitions now. Size wise the tent fits perfectly 4 Autos. 200g all 10 weeks (with the right strains)... that should be a sales argument I would grab it if I wouldn't have it already. Lets see how fast this is gone

Yea same here I prefer Nutriplex over EHG, Nutriplex has less NPK than EHG tho but I feel that Nutriplex gives a better final product in my own opinion

Terra Aquatica I believe was the one you may have been thinking of, but they simply bought out GHE and did a name change for some reason even though everyone knows it as GHE. I have also used EHG, although I'd rather use Nutriplex to be honest..

I believe these are pretty decent, a clone of the GHE nutes which was done by GT Hydro. May not be as accurate / consistent as GHE but for someone on a budget should be pretty awesome

I have traveled the world, listened and learnt. i am interested to know how you came your reference of skunk, never heard it before. Did you grow up on Cheese in CT? Skunk Strong Weed. Ridiculously strong. Usually grown outdoors. It is a guaranteed fucking-up. This is the kind of weed that leaves you sitting there giggling for twenty minutes, your legs numb, your mind completely bricked, and your hands so twitchy you keep spilling the bongwater all over the floor. And the difference between the slang terms chronic and skunk is chronic was quality indoors.

It's just not the strains I'm personally looking to grow... I know you are a fan of the landraces, but I think you are starting a bit too far back for most new guys who are more interested in current genetics. Growing up I was introduced to jut weed. And among my group of friends, skunk weed was never a reference to good or great weed... Always referred to kak cheap skyf as skunk. Also, the skunk is very sativa and not entirely suitable for beginners in my opinion, unless you have a ton of outdoor space and privacy. The Afgan though, sounds good. Nice compact breeding projects for indoor. Im not tryna diss your post, it is a great initiative!! But even more honesty... Is peeps that are ready to learn how to breed would likely also have an idea of what they want to breed, possibly they even have the breeding plants to use. Peace and love bro

Sure thing. Wall of text incoming, but there's a TLDR at the bottom. For context I've got: ⦁ Arizer Solo II ⦁ Arizer Air I ⦁ Boundless CF ⦁ Dynavap M ⦁ Volcano Classic ⦁ Magic Flight Launch Box ⦁ Enano My daily drivers include, the Boundless CF, Solo II and the Dynavap M. My favourite? Sho, that's difficult... Probably the Solo II, I guess. But, they all have their different uses and I really enjoy all of them. Solo II & Air I'd say the Solo is my favourite because of it's build quality, battery and taste. It gets me pretty damn high, pretty damn quickly, even though a session can last about 15 minutes. Both the Arizers are great if I want a bit more flavour in my session. Or if the battery on my CF is dead. The Arizer batteries just don't stop, which is great. The Air and the Solo are pretty similar. The only difference is that the Air has pre-set temps instead of variable temp control on the Solo. There's also a tiiiiiiiiny bit more draw resistance to the Air. But otherwise they both function basically the same. Boundless CF The CF is great for ease of use. I don't smoke much anymore, so I can make a bowl last 3 sessions. I just have to press a button, wait for it to heat up and start puffing. Also great if I wanna smoke a bowl in bed. Great clouds, but the problem is the battery. Also not the best tasting vape out there. If I didn't have my CF and I had the money to add something else to the mix, I would probably reach for a Mighty, because in terms of use, it seems to match a lot of the things I like about the CF. Dynavap M I enjoy using the M when I want a handful of small hits over the evening. They're nice and light, but before you know it, you're higher than a kite. It's also great if I just want 2 big lung busters. Especially good with a water pipe (I tend to use mine without water). The torch can be a bit of a pain in the ass at times though. Volcano Classic The Volcano is great for groups, or if you just want to get smashed (or if you have a high tolerance). Problems? It's a plug in, and it can be a bit noisy. But it's got great tasting vapor, always consistent, built like a tank and super simple to use. Magic Flight Launch Box The Flight Box has been out of commission for a while. It's a pain in the ass to be honest. It was my first vape a good few years ago, and it served me well, even though I did go back to smoking joints shortly after I got it. It just can't keep up with any of my other vapes at the moment. Enano The Enano has, what I believe to be, a broken heating element. It's still under warranty, so I need to arrange an RMA. When I did use it, it was fan-fucking-tastic. It's like a cross between the Arizers and the Dynavap. It's a desktop unit, but SUPER small so it can sit on my desk without being an obstruction. It also works like the Solo or Air where you can just suck up a tiny bit of herb, and get blasted, but in the same time as it would take you to get a hit off of the Dynavap, minus the torch. TL;DR: If I had to choose to keep two, I'd probably go for the Solo II and the Dynavap. They're very different in function, and I like mixing things up. But I would really miss my CF as well. You are correct, you have a multi function air conditioner, cools, heats and dehumidifier. The Meaco, or similar, has one function, dry out the air, and it will compress it and then their is condensation, but also heat from the system doing so. But every time I use the dehumidifier, only system, then it will always heat the room to 2 to 5 deg higher temperature. Always. But running my aircon, with external pipes, then I cools the air, and removes the heat outside, but more used on very hot days, than the dehumidifier itself, which is for cold nights, or damp cold days.

It moves quite a bit of air. 517m3/hr on the high setting 398m3/hr on the low setting So preferably a larger tent, or just have good intake as well to keep up with the air being moved out. The air being moved will decrease if a carbon filter is attached.

Mhh they are to big for a 1.2x0.6 tent ^^ even with a power dial.. one in, one out.. you might create your own little tornados in that tent hehehe Noise level.. you can NOT sleep in the same room or you are deaf anyhow If you attach a dimer.. you can regulate it.. mine are just plug in and 100% air movement.

I just think skunk means something else to each person. I was gifted some 'cold' purple weed that was supposedly purple haze. My reaction to the smoke was that it's too skunky. I dont like the cat piss smelling terps of some strains. To me that is skunk. A funky yucky cat piss...
