I partnered up with a friend a couple years ago to start our breeding journey. While we'd both played around with some pollen chucking, with Loud Chasers we wanted to do things properly. So far we're about 2 years into the work, but we wanted to make sure we created something we felt was truly our own before selecting a male to work with for when we hit our keepers and dig into the progeny. We started the process by hitting a few of our best females with a gassy lemon OG male that had some of the most potent sisters we've come across. We then ran through about 50 beans from the resulting crosses and made two selections to take further. One was a very special Sour Power OG cut and the other Death Row, a CSI:Humboldt strain that has Black Death in it, a lesser known cuf from Bodhi. It is a selection of Sterling Skunk. Above: Death Row x Champawat #8 We then ran these two select cuts several times to get an idea of how they express in different environments. I'm now in the process of crossing another OG dominant male into the mix. I want to retain the dark hues and stank of the Death Row #8 we ended up keeping, but also add some pure OG fuel in. I don't mind doing a bit of an incross here to strengthen the OG traits. Above: Sour Power OG (CapeTownLoud Cut) In the other (SPxCH) selection we made, we're also looking to add some of the resin that the Race Fuel line tended to exhibit. We're still a good while out of our final crosses for release and stuff, but at least at this point we're quite far into finding something that feels ours. Hopefully we'll have our final stud selected in the 6 months or so.12 points

Aweh gromies. Been planning around this idea for a while now. Seems a natural evolution from a smoking carpenters' point of view. Today the creative juices were just right. The material was retained and cured from the 2022 outdoor grow. She weighs is at a miniscule 179gr. Comments and ideas are welcome.11 points

Been almost a year, and a couple small projects down the line... Thanks to everyone who has shown support and encouraged me to keep on doing what I do. I will be bringing my site back online in the next few months, as I work on feminized and regular releases of all my existing genetics, aswell as an auto flowering line or 2. I have also re worked my original logo, combined both the new and old into one, so all my packaging will change with any new releases.11 points

Last harvest done. No more plants, final stretch. Left the last three Critical + Amnesia Haze in darkness for 3 days. Final plant lifespan was 93 days, a bit over the recommended. Definitely was needed to let them grow longer, as I can see these three are fatter and have more trichomes than the other two I harvested earlier. Have learnt a lot The other plants just smoke and taste better every day, curing really does wonders. Thank you for sharing with my journey10 points

Will flower the plants this weekend, let’s hope there is a bit of sun shine for them in the coming weeks10 points

Day 42, First pollen 20 days after starting to spray STS. Got some nice purples expressing on the pollen donor. It has taken a few tries to get it right to reverse an auto. A schedule of spraying every 3rd day, and a total of 5 sprays from day 21 (after female sex has shown). Chosen just one of the other females to pollinate.10 points

Radical Juice - Veg Training and spread are in development. I'm liking the growth so far. I have increased wattage to try shorten the internodal spacing. Reservoir is on, I should switch on the air supply as well. What's crazy is I haven't had to LST yet, the plants have just naturally grown out in a nice spread. Thanks WeedGod! Zombie Bride - 25 Days Since Flip I'm not really getting what I want out of the Zombie Bride yet. In terms of veg growth it's stretchy and fadey. The future of this strain is yet to be determined. ZxP - 7 Days Since Flip The one and only. I'll never leave you, ZxP Did a defoliation recently. Things are looking neat and tidy. Should probably slap the net in at some point.9 points

High Am keen to run a grow contest over 6 months. Have loads of new grow and smoke gear as prizes to make it interesting, as well as some faya genetics to sponsor. Would anyone be keen? What are you tips and suggestions for an irie comp? Happy to give the seeds away, but entrants would need to pay for shipping.9 points

45 days since flip to flower. Getting some fade on some plants but also a colour shift on others I am starting to experience more variance from this strain. Making me suspicious. Could this be what they call genetic variance? I've been cloning the shit out of this strain now for three years and only really started keeping a mother plant recently. Up until then I just took clones before flipping the tent. I had a feeling in my bones to prepare for such an event and that's why I did the organic tent above with new strains (Radical Juice + Zombie Bride). Honestly the Radical Juice claps me too hard, like it makes me uncomfortable, especially the chosen pheno that at this point is already all gone. The people love to use it, but it isn't for me. The Zombie Bride is way more mellow and something I personally enjoy toking anytime of day. Doesn't get you too monged, can wake and bake with it, and it comes down to a chill vibe. It'd be a bleak day chopping the ZxP.9 points

Howzit okes. I thought I would revive this thread abit as it's been over a year since I've posted. I have still been growing, but haven't been recording. There have been a few ups and a few downs. A few upgrades here and there. I've learnt to take it easy when it comes to adjusting anything. Often drastic changes can harm your grow. So the one upgrade I am really stoked about are the autopots. In the 1.2x2.4 tent I used to use 8x20L fabric pots. The runoff was ridiculous and the amount of water runoff I vacuumed was ridiculous. Now I've switched over to 6x15L autpots. Yes yes, I know what you're thinking. What about the yield? Surprisingly enough the yield was more on my last run (1st autopot run) than any other run. This is also excluding air domes at the bottom. Just leca. The air domes are the newest upgrade but haven't flowered in them yet. Will see the results in the next 2 or so months. Overall the autopots have been a fantastic addition and has reduced the amount of work a huge amount. Also using less nutrients. I made sure the cleanup was on point. This also reduced the amount of trimming I had to deal with and even better.....0 fluff. I repeat. Not a single drop of fluff. The numbers that came out were ridiculous. I have over 1kg of smokeable product. Obviously it is shared amongst a couple of us but what a take. I checked up on the roots and they looked pretty good to me. Nice and fully developed, and this is without the air domes. I'm very curious as to how much more I would yield with the air domes. I've checked online and the number being thrown around is that you will yield 130%. Now I don't quite know how to read that percentage but what I suspect is they estimate 30% on top of what you would get without them. Please correct me if I'm wrong. So basically. What they're saying is if I got 1kg I could get 1.3kg next? Sounds nuts. But let's see. I have also been thinking hard about adding bloom booster lights to the existing setup. Basically 240w on top of the existing 960w. That would put me up to 1200w and that would also increase yield. I can't imagine more than what I got but hell, let's see where this road goes. Please excuse the mess of a write up. I smoked some of the examples above and am struggling to stay focused. Please feel free to ask if I've missed anything. The strains weren't specific strains but some cuttings from a friend. The one that faded nice and dark purple yielded the most. I'll post the numbers below. Purple = 567.4g total Prime nugs: 232.2g Medium nugs: 175.4g Popcorn: 159.8g Green = 523.3g total Prime nugs: 189g Medium nugs: 172.3g Popcorn: 162g GRAND TOTAL: 1090.7g Basically. 2x480w LED lights, 6 autopots, T.A tripart, coco/perlite (bioleaf). Thanks for watching.9 points

I have flipped the tent and trimmed the branches in preparation for the stretch and preflower phase. I have also put the pots into the autopot trays and have activated the reservoir. I feel there is little doubt now that the roots are well established, much more so than done previously. Canopy is also looking level. I've tried my best to LST the major branches to all be on the same level. Some plants have stretched more than others already, but I think I've managed to control the most of it. From the atrocious past run this is already looking much better. I was worried big tents were just cursed. Otherwise in another tent I already have some more ZxP on the way, looking scrumptious. I have the harvest date set for 11 May. Will take some trichome pics on the day.9 points

ZxP harvest done and dusted. Yield was a bit low but way, way better than the beginning of the year. From 160g to 500g, more than double, but not quite the target goal of 800g. I do believe the cold played a major part. I attempted this year to skip any additional heating to save on costs and to also experiment with the possibilities. The result is roughly a 33% decrease in yield. Needless to say I think I will be adding additional heating again to the room next winter. Either will run the AC or use heating panels. Will need to do the math first. Next update will be what's going on in the other tents.8 points

Man, these local genetics grow too fast I was planning on having the flower tent at least halfway done before even thinking bout flipping these. gotta clone them asap then flip I guess Will take them out the tent to photograph individually and note a few characteristics I am picking up in during veg, but we all know it's the end result that matters most8 points

And a little update. Could harvest the full no pot tray and the result, for mostly stage 6 flowering, Okisch. The Hella Jellies are also flowering.. but not sure they are done end June.. that is when they would hit 7 weeks flower... and again.. stage 6 most of the time. Ginger Tea (Left undressed, right dressed) Very smooooooooooth.. zero throat irritation.. tastes like Ginger Tea, hence the name The Hella Jelly's are mid flower.. after schedule they reach end June 7 weeks flower.. and that should be it.. but they also endured stage6 for most of the grow. Don't think they are done end June.. or they would do a miracle transformation the next 3 weeks Didn't put em in the sun as they have dark right now, just cleaned out quick for the picture. Right now I do not care to much.. I decided to leave and not find out what stage 16 will do to a country. So not in a good space... rather sad.8 points

So we are growing again, and this is the first run in the new greenhouse from a SA company called easy greenhouse, https://easygreenhouses.co.za/ very helpful and delivery didn't take long. Still a few more tasks to tackle namely, extraction and circulation fans, but for now, we have power and spotlights for extra veg time, blumats installed and digital soil moisture meter. a few wasted days/weeks however, as the environment is still being dialed in, and so is the soil, from the colour of the cover crop and plants, the soil is in well need of nitrogen and other basic dietary needs, which I have top dressed and watered in about a week ago. Whats growing... - 1 x Chimpancheese (first plants nearest to the door) - 1 x DSCxbrucebanner - 2 x Grandpa stash (in the 20litres) - 1 x Sky stomper reg(in the 15L) there is another one but it got fried after a couple of IPM sprays - 1 x Tortoni - another 1 x DSCxbrucebanner Cheers, lets see how easy or kuck hard it could be to grow in this greenhouse. Temps and Humidity shoot to absolute extremes despite the current season, so cold and wet at night 99% humidity, but really hot, 38 sometimes 40 degrees in the day, and 20% humidity. Don't think this will be feasible during summer. However ventilation is on the cards. Whole new ball game.8 points

So after that mess, I decided to go back to basics and do a few new strains in one tent (1.2x1.2) using fabric pots and Organics Matter Living Soil along with the bunch of BioBizz nutes I still have lying around and another tent (1.2x1.2) of ZxP with fabric pots, coco perlite and TA salt nutes. Hand watered throughout the grow. The new strains are Radical Juice and Zombie Bride, both by Ripper Seeds. They are well into flower and maybe have just a few more weeks left to finish up. I've made some cuttings of two of the new phenos for the immediate next run just based on how they grew and the terpenes they are promoting. I will select the next on how these smoke after cure. Immortal ZxP - 1.2x1.2 - coco/perlite - fabric pots - TA salt nutes Classic, the standard. Too many fans to switch this one out. Radical Juice #1 - 1.2x1.2 - living soil - fabric pots - BioBizz nutes The colours are amazing. Smells of earthy diesel. I wonder how the terpenes will be after cure. Radical Juice #2 - 1.2x1.2 - living soil - fabric pots - BioBizz nutes Bushy and a yielder. Will probably harvest a good amount from this plant. Zombie Bride #1 - 1.2x1.2 - living soil - fabric pots - BioBizz nutes Nice bulbous buds. Keen to see the last push on this. Going to give this one another run. Zombie Bride #2 - 1.2x1.2 - living soil - fabric pots - BioBizz nutes Slight light burn on the top corner. Moved it a away from the light as soon as I saw it. Otherwise good looking pheno. Zombie Bride #3 - 1.2x1.2 - living soil - fabric pots - BioBizz nutes The shortest of the plants, but damn the terpenes are amazing. Very sweet desert gelato terpenes. Decided to try give this one another run.8 points

Last harvest of the year numbers are in. The big tent ZxP yielded 547g main buds, 280g popcorn and 5g hash. Main buds Popcorn Hash That sums up the diary for 2022. Next year looks like a big year for harvests so I'm looking forward to that. The setup is pretty much dialed in and things are as efficient as they can be currently with me doing everything. I think this diary shows what is possible for a small scale grower and what the possibilities are with what I would consider hobby level equipment. I won't be doing a diary like this again next year. Instead, I will be doing short and concise grow reports that show everything from beginning to end in single posts. The grows are becoming quite consistent now so I think I'd like to switch things up a bit.8 points

The current state of events. Big Tent Big tent has been reset from the last harvest. I've loaded her up with Radical Juice. That shit was so dangerous I definitely need to give it another round and in bulk Small Tent Doing something a little different here. I am growing ZxP but instead of the usual 4-way manifold I decided to play again with the 8-way manifold just to play around with space and canopy spread. I need to get in there and slap a net in soon. Just waiting for some more length on the branches. Organic Tent Here I am doing some Zombie Bride. I am honestly 50/50 on this one, I'm not sure whether I will keep the strain. The outcome of this grow will pretty much determine whether I keep it or not. I kept this particular strain for the aroma and terpenes. It smelt crazy desserty, so I am hoping for that experience again. I also plan on lollipoppin' the shit out of this one, no popcorn, cheers. I do see that the one plant on the bottom right is lagging behind a bit but it's colour is looking deep so I am not too worried.7 points

Aweh gromies, Seems a quiet time for outdoor organics. But the growing never stopped round our parts. Jars are full of summer flavours maturing gracefully. Playing around with some subtle winter terps...just because. Growbeds been put to rest with a few green and brown layers, woodash and aged manure. Multiple AACT applications should help things along. Enjoy the growing.7 points

Some cheeky pics. Harvest window ETA is in about a week ie. ~7 July. All the same strain, but some variance between the plants The frost is at least looking clean. It smells great! The bud is pretty leafy though. Trim time is longer but there's always plenty sugar trim for other things.7 points

That's one sexy hothouse As with most things I do, I DIY mine, she's about 5 years old now. UV protected polyprop, will last forever as most poly materials turn yellow and change the light filtration or gets brittle with age. I don't grow weed in mine, I keep my sacred rare cacti collection in there Notice the roof, probably the biggest factor to keeping it cool in summer. Structure is stainless steel industrial wire channels, the tables are the same material but wiring brackets they use in factories.7 points

Think I've beaten the worst of the early blight. Here's hoping it doesn't make a comeback anytime soon. Just finished up some LST on the plants. I would like a flat canopy as much as possible. Some plants are showing more stretch than others so some additional attention will be required to keep everything gucci. I am still watering from the top for the meantime. I want no doubt that the roots are well established before switching to the reservoir and bottom feeding. At that point I will also activate the air pump for the airdomes in the pots.7 points

Thanx ^^ I learned a lesson.. @THCSA hope you do it again next year ^^ can count me in, I bring a flavor bomb next year7 points

So finally finished the chop, took a couple of lunchtimes and a skip out for the expo. This grow was a breeze, no pest issues and one bud had what might have been a bit of budrot that was chucked. Locally bred seems to be the way, well done brother @Totemic Currently hanging in a slightly warm slightly humid environment so hold thumbs not too much gets lost. Well ventilated so hopefully nothing unwanted creeping in. Nugs are great size and solid. Smells I’ll update later as it’s still freshly cut grass a bit Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk7 points

INDOOR CRAFT SOIL AUTO GROW Greetings and thanks for stopping by. I will be growing the following plants in the next couple of months: AUTO NBA DIESEL (Bulk Seed Bank) 50% SATIVA – 30% INDICA – 20% RUDERALIS THC: 13-17% CBD: N/A CBN: N/A GENETICS NBA Diesel x Ruderalis FLAVOUR Auto NBA Diesel has a spicy flavour and aroma, with notes of exotic fruit, earth, pine wood and Diesel. EFFECTS The effect is powerful, long-lasting and rather physical. Diesel lovers will certainly enjoy this Autoflowering cannabis seed. FLOWERING INDOOR 9-10 weeks flowering time with a yield up to 500 g/m². Can be flowered at any photoperiod between 12 and 18 hours of light per day. 11-12 weeks total crop time. This strain is a hybrid of the classic New York City Diesel crossed with the awesome Lowryder #2. Like all the newer Autoflowering hybrids, it has an improved yield and better flavour compared to many of the original Autoflowering strains. AUTO CARAMEL KING (Bulk Seed Bank) 5% SATIVA – 75% INDICA – 20% RUDERALIS THC: 20% CBD: 1,6% CBN: N/A GENETICS Caramel King x Ruderalis FLAVOUR Auto Caramel King has a sweet flavour and aroma, with notes of caramel. EFFECTS Fast hitter, it has a very relaxing body-stoned effect. FLOWERING INDOOR 8-9 weeks flowering time with a yield up to 450-600 g/m². Can be flowered at any photoperiod between 12 and 18 hours of light per day. 10-11 weeks total crop time. Our three-way crossbreed of Blue Black x Maple Leaf Indica x White Rhino was grown on a large scale. One particularly heavy yielding specimen was chosen out of many and we crossed it with an Autoflowering Northern Lights hybrid. The results are very interesting plants with a superior character. They have a good yield of big sized buds and a medium height. Due to the dense flowers plants can be susceptible to mold but if grown early enough in the season, there will be no problems. Recommended for beginners and experienced growers. I will be growing two plants on a table in an open living room, next to a window. I grew two autos followed by two photos in this space during Cape Town winter this year. I will be growing in Orgasoilux which has the following amendments: InoculantCannabis Microbial Consortium BlendCompost, Vermi-compost, Coco peat, Sphagnum peat moss (sustainably harvested) and perlite IngredientsAlfalfa meal Aloe meal Basalt Rock Dust Bio-Char (preloaded with microbes) Canna-kashi Calcitic Lime Copper Powder Dolomite Lime Guano (sea-bird) Gypsum Humic Acid Fulvic Acid Frass Kelp Meal Malted Barley Manganese Oxide Montmorillonite Clay Soft Rock Phosphate Zeolite I will supplement with the following: In veg - Mycorrhizae, MSA (if I can find it), kelp, humic / fulvic acids, microbes. In flower - top dress with Elemental Blend, molasses, pk still to be decided. Growing and Training: Cloth pots, gardening wire, bulldog clips, barbeque skewers to make hooks to create a canopy.
