  1. Hello mense, first I would like to mention, I am not really a crack addict, for those who aren't familiar with the saying. Got things running about a month ago, popped a few seeds mid Jan. 100% germ rate. Got a pack of Zkittly ZiZi - Bulk Seed Bank. Not expecting the best buds here, but I am expecting to learn quite a bit as I set my goals now to increase my yields and improve overall plant health from begin to end. Best to do that with one strain so I can clearly see changes if there are any. Besides the main focus, I also popped a single Super Lemon OG by Emerald Triangle Seeds, just because I know I will get tired of only having one strain to pick from! Got them vegging under the 360W(256TW) Blurple for now. Glad to be back!

  2. The indoor comes rather nice.. and I like the little work there is to trim and dress at harvest ^^ Meet K ^^ and some of the clones. I run different BioBizz setup and curious if I get more yield on that tray. the white spots are wind damage.. just to explain the not green area so far happy

  3. For R500 outdoor is your better option unfortunately. Indoor growing adds up in price quickly, even for R10k it still leaves a few items for an indoor grow outstanding

  4. so now that we havent helped you in the least, here is some positives you could try that would work better for you how about an outdoor Auto plant or 3? you still have the sun available and the bud you grow from the autos will definately impress you... wont be much, but likely better than what your weed budget could buy so definitely think about that

  5. Day 65 into flower. Tricomes are for the most part cloudy/milky with no real amber yet except a few on the sugar leaves... So I thought this might make a good experiment to determine the amount of milky vs amber that I like for future runs. So I decided to chop the clones and leave the mothers for a couple more days.. Wedding Gelato clones will be chopped with the mothers. Uppercut Purple Queen Glookies Hang Time Clearing out

  6. To run a light for 3 plants.. with fans for cooling and air circulation.. Eskom will take that off your wallet per month alone. The real cost is not the light, is to run it.

  7. At the end of the day Twin Towers came down... Male.. The 3 new seedlings in the tent show some promise.. The 1st little one below has a very strong spicy smell to it.. at 3 weeks that's a first for me.. Must be some of the LGO coming through.. The other two also have me a b it excited as they seem to be good enough to either pollinate or get pollinated.. I think these will carry the LGO forward.. The current chosen male is bussy flowering and I am about to collect some pollen. If one of the above seedlings turn out male.. he will become the preferred pollinator..

  8. Went to a top growshop in Newton Park, Port Elizabeth today, The Gro Bro. Friendly, welcoming smile, clean shop, packed with indoor and outdoor products. The owner Hugo is a gem, keen to answer questions, show you around, talk about the best products for your growing needs. I was introduced to him via Sunshine Coast Genetics, another gem and had a lekker long conversation about growing cannabis, preventative maintenance, nutes etc. Loved the fact that he specializes in organics, his preferred method, however he does stock synthetics too for the commercial dudes. Saw many top brands in the shop, GH, Biobizz, Dirty Hands, Organic Matters, Umya Nutrients, the trim bin bag, some futuristic life time warranty grinders made from medical grade plastic endorsed by Snoop!!! And then my favorite, a top shelf of Fullmelt Filtration Bubble bags. I was sold, I knew this is my new favorite local grow shop. If you in the area, looking for knowledgeable service with a smile, Hugo at the Gro Bro is your man. 10 Frank Street, Newton Park. I will be back for sure.

  9. Always contact the breeder. Just tell them the purchase history and what happened. This was the response I received for 5/10 germination from Dark Horse Genetics. I recently bought 3 packs of ripper seeds from biltongnbudz. The germination rate was 3/3 O.M.G , 1/3 Braincake and 0/1 Chempie. That sucked. I can't blame biltongnbudz for a sealed pack of seeds, not germinating. But I can email ripper seeds explaining where I purchased the seeds and what happened, and politely ask for replacements. 4/7 is not the worst so I probably wont. I can work with 4. The free gorilla girl seed from sweet seeds also didnt sprout. The R40 Napalese is cheapest seed on biltongnbudz and is kicking ripper girls asses. Dairy on this feminized cross coming soon..

  12. I think Totemic mentioned it before.. balancing a closed setup is hard work and each tweak usually costs more electricity. All people I know, who used CO2, gave up around 2 years after and went to normal growing again. To much hassle to keep all perfect.

  13. @Dookie69 i do not need it to turn on or off any connected devices. Just want to be able to read the temp and humidity on my phone when am away from the grow space coz I should always be not to far from it..

  14. @Dookie69 what about the one your using air comfort i see hydroponic.co.za has it for 600, should I just go for that ?

  16. 1 week.. she is on flush since last Friday I only see clear and milky sugar leaves don't count. But for plants getting outside on the 1 Jan.. they are in a hurry..

  17. @Dookie69 so its says that I need to purchase the sonoff temp and humidity sensor which is a white square box and then also the zigbee bridge for it to work so that another 390.. So I just want to be able to read my temps and humidity when ever I want from where ever.. will the above do that job sonoff sensor and zigby bridge ? I'm still learning here so hence all the questions

  18. Mhhh just let it run more. the AC clearly gets the temp down. Let it kick in before you tick over 26.. you have the 28 border, but you still jump 5-7 degree up and down several times an hour. crossing 28 is something you should avoid.. like normal tent growers should stay below 26.. rest reduces your quality already. Over 30 is the no go zone in any case. Would set the temp to kick in lower, costs more but should reduce those swings.

  19. Yes, that’s a switch only. The TH has a sensor and can also just be a switch. Make sure your ac will turn on with it, some ac units don’t return to previous state on power return... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  21. Howzit peeps, I have 3 autoflowering OG Kush seeds and I am not keen to spend more than R500(as it's my first grow) on their lighting needs, I have seen a lot of differently priced LED grow lights, but there is so much confusion around what REALLY works(gets a decent enough yield). Is there anything that can really work for 3 plants under the R500 mark?
    1 point
  22. Yep.. put the autos in the most sunny spot.. best on your roof if you can. 10 liter pot.. you should end with the same density as if you run a cheap light. If you are on a tight budget, learn outside.. sun is free.. at least they don't tax it yet Autos you can play around all year long.. as soon as you go indoor, your expenses are ticking and if you screw up, you only sit on those. Not that we do rocket science, but then invest the 500 bugs in some good fertilizer and you get out more.

  25. Hey guys so I got a response from fastbuds themselves about my bad batch of seeds from TROPHY SEEDS.. This is what Jerry has to say.. : I did a screem shot of his email and posted it below.. Now this is what I call EXCELLENT FUCKING SERVICE MAN! WOW I am honestly very impressed and happy , guys if time is not an issue don't hesitate to order directly from fastbuds as they quite often have double your seed promos (ive bought twice) yes the delivery is slow 2 to 3months but their customer service is next to non..

  26. @SoloKush for the most part my tents remain open on at least 2 sides. This is because the humidity gets out of hand when the lights go out. Each tent has a carbon filter and an AC Infinity T8 setup in the usual way, however they extract to the room and not the outside. Each T8 has a temp/ humidity probe inside its respective tent; and they will turn on and off based on those settings (max and min humidity and temp). They serve really to assist air movement and to scrub odour from the room. My room only vents when the door is opened, or left open for a bit due to high CO2 levels. The split a/c has the job of cooling the air from the T8 in lines and the dehumidifiers, and it also dries the air. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  27. yes please. Seen these guys alot lately and their strains look good. A couple other local breeders to mention are Sunshine Coast Genetics.

  28. That does look like a larval stage. As for the little ones, it could be a combination of overwatering and heat stress. Fixing that may be as simple as transplanting to a larger pot. It seems like rootzone issues really...

  30. With thrips you are going to have to treat systemically for a while. Thrips lay eggs inside the soft leaf tissues more often than on the leaf surface, so they are protected right up to the point of hatching. Thrips are the worst of the insects to get rid of...even mites are easier to control

  31. I'll say yes man. Support local. This year has hardly started and many local breeders have stepped up and hitting hard. I'd love to see our local market get established to the point where we dont need to be sending our money out of the country at 15x + exchange rate.

  32. Evening gentlemen. I'll put the cards on the table, here's the background... the clones originated from an indoor mother, the grower is also the owner of one of the local 420 headshops with whom we have a very good relationship as they stock some of the best outdoor and indoor gear locally available. Yes we got the clones late and yes the clones were very small, but I do enjoy a good challenge. How else to test your knowledge and skill as a grower? As an outdoor, organic grower I want to try and produce bud, comparable to their indoor version wrt to smoothness, potency and flavour. @CreX@TheUltimateNoob Clones will veg in the tent, repot from the 250ml solo cups to 9lt plastic nursery bags and veg further under the lights to try and get them to 'decent..ishh' flowering size, transplant to final 25lt bags, then move them outside to flower. If we run out of space we will veg outside by extending daylight hours. There will be some costs involved with the lights and the plan might change depending on how the plants progress. It's a challenge and of course I'm going to try and smack it out the park.

  33. As a seedbank, it's hard because there is no way for us to know what the client did. They could have done "x", non-germ and google after realizing the mistake, then tell us they did the thing they just googled. If the client is knowledgeable and has some social presence where we can see previous grows, we will replace. Maybe a good rule is to have a grow log here of each step.. What is great now is if it's someone's first time, we point them to the "free seed" offering and they get like 5 seeds to start and a super low cost.

  34. No idea what momo is, gonna have to Google that. My mother, my wife (fiance at the time) and myself were walking around the waterfront when my wife spotted BOB. Without thinking she blurted out ' there's our bong '. We'd been looking for a bong for awhile. Next thing my mother walks into the shop and buys it. Bring Our Bong is what you'd usually hear my wife say before a braai. BOB. But I'm gonna enjoy this new one [emoji16]. Thanks once again to all. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

  35. I also want to add.. I changed my inliners from the cheap shit ones.. to silent TD 500. Was a bit investment BUT.. to my surprise, my energy consumption dropped A LOT! The 4 6 inchers I had before used 630 Watts on the plug once spooled up. The 4 TD-500 draw 174 Watts.. that is a word for 24/7 running gear. I have them running only on medium, but that is just a nick less air moved compared to the old ones. My humidity control is still very good.. I just use 450 watts less electricity A TS3000 running for free. Yes, the TD-500 set me back 12k.. but that should be back in the wallet within a year. Eskom also announced a price hike 1 April, we go 16% up I started to order some solar panels ^^ will convert as much as I can. Not sure why I pay for electricity and have load shedding for years and years.

  37. Agreed.. but if your soil mix is to hot things turn out badly... For beginners this is not advised..? I've gone straight into FF Premium Classic before and they love it.. It's just when you have expensive beans you tend to over think and screw up.. just my opinion.. When you just don't give a shit and JUST DO IT.. it works out fine...

  39. Glass of water for 24 - 36 hours then into soil. I don't seem to have much success with the paper towel method. Glass of water then into jiffy plugs have also worked in the past. Just a mission to get plugs out on the reservation hence water then soil now. 43 from 45 seeds germinated last planting from water into soil. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk
