  9. Hey bud, hope you are well. You can just ignore all this if you wana, but I gotta say R5500 for 150watt is reeeeeeaally steep, no matter how you look at it, just to give you a few points. •the qb style is outdated, anyone spending more than around 3k on a light gona lean more away from old qb style build and rather go for a bar style. design / layout of the build can make a huge impact on growing environment. •for around 3k you can get a locally built LED qb samsung LM301h/b diodes and a Meanwell driver - currently top of the line diodes and drivers for growing plants, compiled by a team of horticultural engineers, much better diodes than osram got out. (source: https://ledgardener.com/diy-led-strip-build-designs-samsung-bridgelux/ ) •local builds sell better cause if anything breaks you can easily have it fixed in way shorter time than having to deal with imported products. and quality really is key here. if somethings imported I expect it to be cheaper or at least quality has to make up for spending so much more. in this case there are higher quality local options for cheaper. that "imported" tag shouldn't make it more expensive as it doesn't add anything to the light itself. it actually turns people away from buying it. (few options: https://www.greenhouston.co.za/products/quantum-board-led-125w ) if we looking at spending upwards to 5-6k on a qb we looking at more around 250watt. and then it's gotta have samsung diodes + it's locally made. eg. even within the line of samsung diodes there's a price differences in the LM301H and the LM261C and all the rest, and that's based on their output/efficiency. some are just better than others, I can sit here and explain to you till I am blue in the face, but I also did drop the LEDgardener source for you to have a looksee, all the info is there. people used to lean towards importing cause SA is stuck in 1950 when it comes to accessibility to top of the line products, but luckily the cannabis community don't wait on no one, we push till we make it and these days people are stocking big names locally, Migrow, Nanolux, Fluence.... those kinda brands, besides that there are plenty of local LED manufacturers that make use of the top of the line products, we even have one here on the forum, Mr.E. builds some of the craziest LED bar lights you can find locally, I come across a few others, I know LEONLED used to be popular, not sure if he is producing anymore....but yeah man, that R5500 for just 150w is like..... it's just way out. juuuuust a few pointers, all love and respect brother

  10. @Sticks I don't mean to answer for the guy, but it's pretty clear what he is saying. By possibilty of one person buying all 4 he will look at working a discount on the total. Indicating that the 2500 is not the total of all 4. I really doubt anyone is gona sell 4 x 120w qbs for only 2500 and then give discount too he also mentions that they're brand new... the discount will come in when you take all 4. alternatively if it was 2500 for all 4 then a single would cost 625, which would then be his selling point, though you probably only gona get a flood light for that price. these lights cost a little more than normal lights. with all that said I might still be wrong

  11. Strange how its a tough sell hey? I have also had my salts for sale for a stupid low price and had no takers. Have since made many more fem beans with it

  12. Sadly the items are sold

  13. I would highly recommend to get both items they fit very well together. I have the same setup for competitions now. Size wise the tent fits perfectly 4 Autos. 200g all 10 weeks (with the right strains)... that should be a sales argument I would grab it if I wouldn't have it already. Lets see how fast this is gone

  14. Consumers are very peculiar. Give them something for free they don't want it. Take that same thing, slap a huge price tag on it and it's the opposite reaction...

  19. Yea same here I prefer Nutriplex over EHG, Nutriplex has less NPK than EHG tho but I feel that Nutriplex gives a better final product in my own opinion
    2 points
  20. Terra Aquatica I believe was the one you may have been thinking of, but they simply bought out GHE and did a name change for some reason even though everyone knows it as GHE. I have also used EHG, although I'd rather use Nutriplex to be honest..

  22. I believe these are pretty decent, a clone of the GHE nutes which was done by GT Hydro. May not be as accurate / consistent as GHE but for someone on a budget should be pretty awesome

  24. Just letting you know, you are the only person I have chatted to who refers to skunk as low grade weed. I have traveled the world, listened and learnt. i am interested to know how you came your reference of skunk, never heard it before. Did you grow up on Cheese in CT? Skunk Strong Weed. Ridiculously strong. Usually grown outdoors. It is a guaranteed fucking-up. This is the kind of weed that leaves you sitting there giggling for twenty minutes, your legs numb, your mind completely bricked, and your hands so twitchy you keep spilling the bongwater all over the floor. And the difference between the slang terms chronic and skunk is chronic was quality indoors.

  25. Shot for the clarity brother. Donations and charity causes are really great man, so props to you. And as for the seeds, as much as they may be decent breeding stock... It's just not the strains I'm personally looking to grow... I know you are a fan of the landraces, but I think you are starting a bit too far back for most new guys who are more interested in current genetics. Growing up I was introduced to jut weed. And among my group of friends, skunk weed was never a reference to good or great weed... Always referred to kak cheap skyf as skunk. Also, the skunk is very sativa and not entirely suitable for beginners in my opinion, unless you have a ton of outdoor space and privacy. The Afgan though, sounds good. Nice compact breeding projects for indoor. Im not tryna diss your post, it is a great initiative!! But even more honesty... Is peeps that are ready to learn how to breed would likely also have an idea of what they want to breed, possibly they even have the breeding plants to use. Peace and love bro

  33. hahah I swear the same shit happens to me, everyone always want something untill the day I wana give stuff away then I have to announce it 100 times and no one seems interested! If I was any closer to your side I would've jumped for those seeds and mycos, 2 things you really can never have enough of. crazy that there's no takers for this!

  36. That my friend is a portable Aircon and not a dehumidifier. I have some of those portable aircons which I want to put up for sale actually. Great for cooling, but not very good at removing excess water I find. Same as with a mid-wall split AC unit, great at heating and cooling but sucks at removing excess water and cools the room down. A dedicated dehumidifier warms the air up before expelling it back into the room and does not have a dedicated exhaust hose for hot / cold air, unlike a portable aircon. Also a dehumidifier uses little power, under 500W on all the home units I have seen. If you want to be able to remove excess moisture, get yourself a proper dedicated dehumidifier. @Marzcanna I'd prefer a bigger unit, but a very nice option for someone who can get away with a smaller dehumidifier! Very good price too if it was R1500 landed.

  37. @Prom sounds more as if you are using a portable AC on dry mode? AC will cool the air while trying to remove moisture. Dehumidifier will warm the air while trying to remove moisture. AC dry mode does not work nearly as well as a dedicated dehumidifier and cools ones room which is not always wanted and you cannot set the desired RH with an AC. @Marzcanna How many liters can it remove within 24 hours for interest sake? Looking for something like the GMC 26L dehumidifier which removes 26L in 24 hours at 30C and 80% RH.

  40. How about R1200 per fan and I will pay for shipping.
    1 point
  41. It moves quite a bit of air. 517m3/hr on the high setting 398m3/hr on the low setting So preferably a larger tent, or just have good intake as well to keep up with the air being moved out. The air being moved will decrease if a carbon filter is attached.

  42. Correct, that is per fan. Courier will be for the buyers expense. I have the box for one of them still, can find a box for the 2nd one if both need to be shipped.

  43. Thank you @Gloriosa superba, your purchase is being packed and will update you the tracking number. As per original the full amount was paid to Fields of Green for All. You getting an unreal package, that even the most seasoned breeders would be sweating for. Cannabis, tobacco and chillies on their way.

  45. Dude, I haven't been able to find a proper oldskool Rooibaard/Transkei bud for jeez almost a decade, every now and again i get something that looks kind of similiar at first glance & for a moment get hopefull of catching a whiff of sweet nostalgia but end up dissapointed everytime the vacuum seal is broken & that first aroma whiffs out its like nope, not a chance! While it may look like the lost unicorn, but it turns out its just a donkey who rammed his head into the wall to try ton getbthe carrot infrtont of his face to stop moving and instead impaled it into his forehead and the unicorn was born.......LoL On a serious note though, where can one find these oldskool beans, certainly can't find them online or have I just been blind and not looking in the right places? Malawi is another haven't smoked in ages but if I'm honest dont miss it a single bit because while its a very enjoyable smoke with a heavy stone it should come with a warning because its guaranteed to turn you and your crew into a pack of rabid locusts on a mission to raid every cupboards in a 10m radius/eat 2x your bodyweight & possibly start a fight over the crunchy snacks Seeing as you guys talking about jut I'll throw in my 2c, back in my day there were 2 kinds of jut - the worst of the worst was called Mpondo (nickname= tamatie blarre) sticks/stoppe cost like R2 but it was basically just leaves, stalks & at least 200 pitte - this mostly smoked by buttonkoppe not worth your time - then there's turi/turry skuif - quality can vary greatly but yeah is mostly lower grade that look similar to mpondo but tastes slightly better but essentially same thing, tons of light green seeds with heads always having more stalk then bud - I must also say though albeit only 2 or 3 times this same jut strain grown sensi, has gotten me pretty baked but nooit the strain in general is simply below par Now the skunk vs Swazi matter, in cpt back in day skunk was always king, and fetched a slight premium but many people would just say that they got skunk but sell you swazi which is the reason why there is such an issue between smokers differentiating between the two because they believe what they smoked was 'skunk' and therefore always refer to it as 'skunk' but 50% of the time was a Swazi, because the differences between them are very subtke indeed a skunk - so basically unless you bought skunk and bag seperately (preferabky at the same place) anyone's who been to purple turtle and bought a bag of Swazi and a bag of skunk at the same time will know the difference and the only difference is flavour -- i actually remember a time where the terms were combined and was generally known as a 'swaziskunk' but I guess by today's standards calking that a skunk would be completely incorrect because now UK Skunk is the world skunk standard no? And one thing I can say for sure is that they miles apart, not blasting our version its just original UK skunk tastes amazing & entirely different strain - however its no secret that countless of the worlds best/strongest hybrids were bred with sativas whose origins can be traced back to RSA, because apparently our sativas are among the quickest growing/flowerimg, most potent and produce the highest yielding sativas (something to do with a 31st meridian line)
