  1. Harvest Day Today was the day, well rather this morning the tent has been in a dark cycle since yesterday, so I've taken all the soil plants out and saving the long dark for the DWC plants. I'll be doing those tomorrow morning.. pray for me. Here are the plants harvested today: Aurora Indica Skywalker OG

  2. so here are 2 pics. the bottom one, which is poorly drawn, is actually the most accurate because it includes the depiction of new growth tips. often on smaller plants, you will see some tiny somethings happening near the stipule and most of the time, it is not sex organs, but rather new growth shoots.

  3. It's always interesting for me to see how people say the word 'dagga' like they just want to spit it out. You can feel how discusted they are by it. So brainwashed. Fascinating and sad at the same time. I don't feel it made me 'disabled' at school. If anything I was more focussed. Watching this however really gave me braincramps...

  4. Hey hey all, So as some of you may know I have had my Bubbleberry and Bubba Kush in my DIY tent for some time. Sitting in 20l fabric pots with Freedom Farm soils and Biobizz (Grow and Bloom) nutes. The Bubba Kush got the boot to outside as it had some bananas, so I wasn't going to take the risk. The Bubbleberry is in week 7 of flower and started with the yellowing of leaves (yellow with brown/dark curling tips) already. I figured it was needing something and was not done yet, but considering the PH going in is as per FFs suggestion as well as nute schedule. I then decided to buy a bucket and an air pump and brew a tea. I used 2 cups of compost, 1 cup of worm castings, couple ml of bloom and 2 table spoons of molasses to 10litres of water. I fed the bubbleberry this and she seemed to like it as finally the buds are fattening a bit. They were only as thick as my index finger, but some are starting to swell now. My main question here being, can I feed the same tea recipe (fresh of course) again? I assume as I am really only feeding the microbes I can't really overdo it? I also took the left over mulch from my tea and top dressed the plant with it. Some recent pics attached for reference. Thanks!!

  6. The first one I would say looks female if you look at the top node. Second one I am not to sure about..

  7. I wouldn't, rather stick to fabric pots. @StonerZN up to you regarding the 20L vs 10L pots. 20L pots are easy to repurpose, 10L pots not really. I grew my auto's in 20L pots and all went well. You do use more soil for the pot, but don't need to water as often as it will hold more water - especially important being out in the sun all day with the wind etc. etc. FF pots are not bad, but they are not perfectly round and the soil pulls away from the sides easily and then when watering the water goes down the sides and not into the soil properly. It's just a hassle, so for around the same amount of money you can get a different brand of fabric pot which does not have this issue. I feel the Plant Matter pots are put together better, they are more circular and the dimensions work well. They're actually 22L I believe, if you want to be precise but nobody is forcing you to fill a 20L pot. You can always use less soil if you so desire.

  8. The plant may need a few more days in a flower light cycle yo. That plant has just started growing alternating nodes which indicates the start of sexual maturity. you busy checking out an underage lady brahzoh!!

  9. As long as you don't give loads of nitrogen so late into flower. I some times add a bit of pot ash and soft rock phosphate to my tea's.

  10. you can give your garden teas as often as you want. the idea being to establish colonies of beneficial bacteria in the root zone. so while i agree with myself about as often as you want, i must advise that you try diversify your teas. get soil from different areas of your neighborhood, local forest or a well growing plant on the side of the road. diversity is key if you want to succeed with microbes

  13. Was in the area so popped into both shops to kick some tyres and check things out. Both friendly sets of people, had lots of advice to offer! Cannamart definitely newer and smaller. Didnt have a lot on display per se, quite a bit of stuff seems to be stored off site. Not a biggy, provided you are prepared to preorder before arriving - you may be disappointed if you simply pop in. I think this is for safety reasons mostly, is a smallish shop... will definitely support them in future though. GroHydro was quite the opposite [emoji1787] seemed like a warehouse by comparison. Had everything I've read about available on shelf and I really enjoyed peaking at all the bits and pieces that are on display in their tents. Very much felt like a kid in a candy store lol. 2 good experiences and 2 definite sources for all I need for a while! Thanks again for the recommendations chaps. Will keep my eyes open for more shopping options in KZN and update as I discover more. Sent from my SM-N960F using Tapatalk

  15. Skimmed through your post. I think its best that if you do want a cutting, you reach out to the person growing it and see if they're willing. A cutting would need to be taken and kept alive before the plant goes into flower. Not everyone has a separate veg and flower tent and won't be able to do this.

  16. Trust me man... When you see the first stigmas... It will be brutally obvious. Or it will be balls... And you will hope your eyes are playing tricks on you... But it too will be brutally obvious once the sex organs grow

  19. @felix2000 Not an 'official' one but i guess I could create one for the siamese twin seeing as its showing signs of being female already i won't have to worry about the pulling it out a week from now & abruptly ending the diary. But been thinking maybe it better to do one grow diary for whole garden and highlight different training methods etc etc Last night started working on training one plant to grow in a spiral formation with wire ties so far got it bent about 45deg at first node & second nodes, busy shaping 3rd & gonna keep offsetting each node at 45deg from the last forming a spiral ladder/spring shape as its grows, hope it works out like I have in mind, besides looking f%&king sick the shape will allow for light to penetrate everywhere without having to defoliate (I think)

  25. Overall I'm pretty stoked with the soil grow. They definitely could have benefitted from a longer veg period. I got a few very chunky buds from the main colas and barely any popcorn nugs. Most of the buds even on the bottom were pretty much developed, so I'm happy with that. The extra week or so was a good idea. Aromas are pretty strong, felt like chopping onions at some point with the terpenes making my eyes water a bit. I am a believer of soil after this experience... might need to change my answer to the poll of whether or not beginners should start with soil it really felt so much simpler than pure hydro although the past experience and knowing what to look for also really helped. Also, quality soil and quality nutes is a must I feel. Now just to do a coco grow and I've done the Big 3 Mediums. Maybe then I'll try finally focus on maximizing yield there is a lot of space yet to be filled in this tent.

  27. Aweh fellow greenies. Life is doing that curveball thing...as if covid wasn't enough. Ladies haven't been getting all the attention they deserve but they still looking good. Had almost a week of cold and rainy days, wpm and budrot here they come..... 1-2. This Purple Pineapple lady just exploded as can be seen from the internodal spacing. Maybe the Bio Ocean pellet topdress and mung beans had something to do with it or could be a combo of f1 vigour which is positive, but she can't hide her sativa genes. Only topped her once, wanted her to express as naturally as possible. Not a drop of wpm on her so far, which is a good sign as she is in pre flower. 3-4. Seedsman Lemoncello is filling out nicely. The mielie SST and molasses in between normal feeding is doing the thing for the flowering girls. She is smelling awesome and her nugs are dense and frosty. 5-6. The Purple Stilton lady is also doing well, she's putting on decent weight despite the crap weather. Defoliated all the leaves with signs of wpm, trichomes are mostly milky, just want a few ambers. Hoping I can get her to the harvest line because she is frosty as a snowcone and smells bloody awesome.

  30. Look for fish mix, if you want to use just one of both. Then get a bottle of melasses too from your grow shop and mix your own Grow... 750ml fish mix and 250ml melasses... and you have Biobizz Grow. Stick to the light mix table, not the FF table... that one demands to use bio heaven or you run into troubles. I can send you a beefed up feeding table for your 10 weeks sour diesel, put those out second week Nov. Use the 12 week table, standard, on the ww3, beginning Nov (easy week calculation, 1. Nov). I use 10 liter pots for autos, i let the 10 week bubbles go into week 15, very late harvest. Autos dont go as root crazy... also means they handle less good wind. I am always amazed how small the root work is when you empty the pots. Pulled one out gentle... that is a 10 liter pot and a 14 week old auto

  31. Out of those 4, only 2 are really vital as far as I am concerned and if someone is on a budget. Fishmix or Grow (don't need both) Bloom Topmax seems to just be humic & fulvic acids - you can get these pretty cheaply at a few places. Organics Matter sell it, I got some from them a while back. It will last forever! You can get by 100% with just FIsh mix and Bloom, although if you'd prefer you can get Grow and Bloom, grow can be used during flower a bit but I do not see why you'd want to do that, especially in soil. Fish mix I believe is a bit better for veg though. If it were me and based on my previous experience, I would get fish mix & bloom only. leave out the Grow and source humic & fulvic acids elsewhere if you want to use them.

  32. What up bud. So easiest would be soil. As it doesnt require alot of precision in terms of ph and feeding . Etc. The freedom farms premium clasic soil (green bag) is the shit. Everywhere i go. People have positive things to say about it. Biobizz is also a topshelf product. But that comes with price. They also have a large full range. But i think the 4 important nutez woukd be Fishmix Grow Bloom Topmax I would also reccomend fabric pots. Works well. All said and done. Should be a good recipe for success.

  33. You need to Ph Coco.. no way around.. FF Premium with BioBizz range will do for outdoor. Should be a smooth cruise.. you want to start in November.. depending on strain time, early Nov for 12 week plants, mid Nov for Fast ones, 8 to 10 week strains. Would be my input..

  34. Coco or hydro without a proper pH pen is not a good idea at all. EC pen you can get away without one, they are cheap though and you do not need a fancy EC pen. Do not skimp on a PH pen. So with that being said, soil might make a bit more sense. I'd then go with the premium soil. When you are growing indoors, give coco a try (once you have a proper PH pen, something like the HM Digital PH pen).

  36. Went out to the farm again today. All the chocos are kicking into reveg mode. These are going to be monstrous. They are starting the season with stems thicker than my thumb. There is this one pheno though that is going to carry the F5 generation.

  38. Really dissapointed to hear people would actually take the piss like that - forum should create a blacklist of somekind for these dodgy bastards but i would agree that having a requirement of 3- 5 grows DOCUMENTED on forum is a good way to deter that kind of shady behaviour at least then one can be more certain that majority of entrants will participate & more likely to log diary/follow rules (or atleast have no excuse not to log diary/follow rules) & as a result would be less of an effort to regulate as everyone should have a good idea of what/what not to do
