  1. I don't know you guys sound to fast passed for me on this thread. Organics takes time and planning. You can start with a worm bin and compost heap or bokasi bin if you dont have enough waist for a compost heap. A worm bin will take about 3~6 months depending on how big it is and how many plants you want to grow. Wormbosch makes a good quality vermicompost if your worms take to long. But anyway I just moer all my nutrients amendments into a container cook it fot 4 weeks. Add microbea for luck and keep on feeding the microbes. The plant will tell the microbes what it needs. And then you wait. And hopefully it will look like this.

  4. Hi, if you can avoid adding the run off to your compost it will be more beneficial to your compost In my humble opinium. Like mentioned your compost heap will take a few months to mature and after that it's good to use, lots of microbes and fungi in there and they know exactly what to do........then again I'm still learning about soil [emoji6] Sent from my F5321 using Tapatalk

  6. You just make me salavate bru... I know so many people who have not experienced a real cheese strain. My cheesiest ever was a gram I bought in the south of Jhb, labeled Blue Cheese Fuck me... I wake up some nights with a wet bed because of this strain. Blue stinky cheese when you pop the bag... So loud you can smell it from outside your car! This... And a blueberry lady that stole my heart, and tasted purer than a mugg & bean blueberry muffin... Completely astonished how real the smells and tastes were. This is why I grow weed.... Those 2 strains are the inspiration for me

  7. Warning for sharing cuttings: They often come with unwanted travelers. Broad mites are the worst possible case because they are invisible for the most part. You will only notice strange stalled growth. Russet mites are also possible but they can be spotted without magnification when they gather in larger numbers and look like white or copper coloured dust. Root aphids are almost impossible to cure but luckily are quite rare in South Africa where the mites mentioned above are a very real threat to any operation. When you get a new cutting its best to isolate it away from your other plants for at least 4 weeks. I like to dunk the whole rooted clone in neem oil (not Bioneem, thats too weak) 10ml per litre. And then I spray neem oil once every 5 days after that initial dunk. I use a USB microscope and a jewelers loupe to spot check the plant for any bugs. When you manage a lot of plants you must be very sure that you are on top of any issues that can occur

  8. @Newbie_2020 I love my automatic watering system, watering by hand is such a ball ache and takes time - something I am often limited with. I looked at making my own DIY dripper system, however I found it a bit iffy as depending on what parts you get it tends to leak or you need a big pump and high pressure for the pressure regulated valves and dialing it in to ensure each plant gets an equal amount of feed etc. can be a bit challenging and the cost increases etc. etc. So then I stumbled upon the Blumat system, with their carrots. The Tropf is their dripper system, works really well. Easy to setup and dial in (takes a few minutes to calibrate it really) and then you just keep refilling the res with your nute mix. The plants get water only when needed (when the medium dries up) and all is good in the world

  9. So we have some Good news... some Not so good newd and then some darn right crap. I Harvested some Plants Yay!!! Some have been dried and cured for about a week now. If this this what its like now i cant wait for fully cured. I smoke a lot so tolerance high AF. this put me on my ass. im impressed. The not so good news. My citradellic Hermied, pollinated my other plants a little. some a little more than others. But im not to worried. they still frosty AF. NOW the darn with baaaaad Eskom!!!! Wtf man! sub stations blowing. loadshedding during fckn lockdown. naaah come on this is a conspiracy to fck all indoor growers. im sure. its that illegal tobacco industry thats waging war on us law abiding pot growers!!! this is an atrocity!

  10. So in your order status it says "Confiscated by SAPS"? Did they send any more info? Strange that they would even notify you to that degree. But regardless, the SAPS won't go through the effort of opening a case, no chance. That would entail going to court, and then setting a precedent. The SAPS don't want to set any precedent right now because that means they wouldn't be able to harass as many people anymore. Just as long as you're not like, operating a massive 5kg per harvest kinda grow at your place, have illegal firearms, a stash of hard drugs and an asshole neighbor that rats you out. This is the only people the SAPS/HAWKS clamp down on, and it's 99% of the time a tip-off. Don't stress bruh.

  11. Blueberry is an amazing variety on its own. I think blueberry makes some of the tastiest herb that you can find on planet earth and its the main smell from one of my fav plants the digiberry (mother is 1999 dutch passion blueberry, father is backcrossed 2001 blueberry indica x sour bubble). If any of you have not grown a real DJ short blueberry then do yourselves a favor. The cheese is more elusive because it wasn't stabilized like how blueberry is. To have tasted the real cheese is rare and because of that so many knockoffs or failed attempts at making a cheese tasting hybrid were undetected by growers. My friend 'Miraculous Meds' is doing a good job with Mr DJ Shorts guidance and they are releasing some more blueberry stuff soon. These are made with original DJ Short cuttings and Miraculous Meds obtained cuts. The Navy Cross hybrid looks to have taken the best blueberry traits, that look screams flavour.

  13. Yo man!! Welcome to the site!! LOL excuse this bunch... They are proper mad hatters haha!! As for your organic/salts question They are pretty much the same elements. Organic, is more often than not, derived directly from some sort or composting or process to create very rich sources of nutrients for plants. Soils with an established microbe population will quickly get to work breaking it down that little bit more so that the roots can absorb it - many organic nutes claim to be readily available in bottles form which is great! But then you get salts... The elemental exactness of what enables plants to grow.... You need potassium? Fuck the bananas, gooi potassium! Need nitrogen? Gooi calcuim nitrate! Need anything your plants lacking? Salts are directly available to be taken up by roots and don't need to be further broken down to become usable. And that's the main difference between the two. Lemi know if that hit the spot or left you wanting more

  14. @oldsandals Sounds amazing bro. Proud to hear good things about kzn. I've heard of some fire diary queen bud floating around. It would be amazing growing out some of that local fire... Old and new... There's appreciation in it all. BTW welcome to forum cuts

  15. That Exo cheese makes its way to all the gardens in KZN hahaha. Its a friend of a friend who found it. Its even in JHB now too. There are loads of other cuts also popular in KZN among the long time growers - mostly commercial guys who trade. Majority of the old cuts came from two guys. One guy on the south coast had his grow room burn down. Other guy by PMB moved to the berg side and still growing. There is even a Jack Herer cut going around from 2003... Other KZN cuts - Da Cheese, DigiBerry (was from me), Grandslam, Jack of Spades (was from me using the 2003 Jack herer) - and newer ones like Dairy Queen. Will be cool if guys here have grown any of those - let me know.

  16. Welcome.. Here I will share my current flowering plants. They are local genetics except one: 1 x Choc Kush ( Totemic) 1 x Double stuffed sherbert (garden route genetics) 1 x KB7 (garden route genetics) 1 x Sherb breathe ( garden route genetics) 1 x Jacob's Ladder ( round table genetics) They have been in veg for a while and finally have space for the to flower. Jacob's Ladder below first time doing a scrog, will see how this play out. Setup is in the garage with a hill billy dang thang going on, size is 1.4 x 1.2 and running 3 x 400W HPS lights. Took clones from all the plants, and did not have space for the other 3 that was planned to move in together. They back in the veg appt doing their thing.

  19. Aweh fellow greenfingers, The winter chills are upon us but, grow we will. 1/2. a Clash of Titans..... and local is lekker. Unintended consequence. Proof is in the pudding, some buds drying quitely, sweet skunky bliss. 3-6. Found 2 decidedly different Pineapple express pheno's. One seems more sativa, the other more kush. 7-10. The Fruitpunch queens looking good after their feed and tea. This winter made it awfully difficult for any type of outdoor growing. Pushed some limits and took a few hits, might have found some good stuff for my trouble. But summer is coming.... Keep it green. Cheers

  20. The plants that I post and say DJ's mother plants are referring to his breeding mothers, not just a selection from the seed line. I try to note it clearly as dj mother, as not to confuse, because I do hold a few of my own dj gear mother selections from his seeds, and my own f2's and f6's.Dj mothers I hold currently are:BlueberryFloBlue MoonshineNewberryand I have a couple other possible mothers from the f4 r and d he did recently. Fx3 looks pretty interesting to me. Ill get some more pics up of them, but for now I still have the originals from dj's room. - From the guys mouth

  22. Ya - same, but, but, wait - we are building onto the nursery? We plan to have a clear glass section for winter growing outside. I have just completed a project with cuts from 1000Hills Nursery and Bospatrollie2 where we took nursery growing to another level for us here. So the plan is to create a separate area where we can use lights (off grid) and then we can also make a veg area for babas. Hmmm. Well - this will all be tabled at the monthend gathering with the natal club chinas. We are due to hunt a DP strain for crafting genetics. Sun growing makes for the best Medz.

  24. Outdoor soil has quite a bit of nutes for me in general I think, so outdoor I would use the biobizz range, or seagrow and nitrosol. I am by far not the best guy to ask about this haha. I know collecting kitchen scraps is good, but I don't know the ratios to use as you can easily overdo the kitchen waste if you don't have a large enough compost pile. You also need to keep to a good ratio of greens and browns, fresh leaves, and dried leaves. Maybe @SkunkPharmcan drop some knowledge, I know he makes his own soil

  25. I tasted the original UK cheese cut from a friend who stays in London and collects all the famous cuttings like pre98 bubba kush, white rhino, livers, etc that floats around top circles in London. That cutting of UK cheese clone makes all the different seed versions of cheese seem dulled down indica garbage. It was Big Buddha seeds who made the first cheese seeds that actually tasted of cheese and not skunk. Then Greenhouse Seed Company put out their version called Exodus Cheese, this is what everyone's growing these days (GHSC marketing budget is huge!). Its not very cheesy compared to the original clone, and much more indica. I got sent the supposed exodus cheese from CPT growers who said they selected it from 15 packs of seeds or something like that. Grew that one in 2017 and was quite strong herb but not so cheesy either, more fuel smells than anything else, and gets powdery mildew BAD, had to let her go. The Exodus cheese thats going around KZN is also a green house seed company one. Similar to the CPT cut I tried but more fragrant and less strong, but a far more healthier plant in general - still not extremely cheesy.

  26. That just sounds silly. You have no idea what mix of nutes the meduim is letting go of. Like... If you are using it in your garden then I see zero harm in small quantities, which runoff usually is. But as for benifits, I would say they are also negligible. I don't water till runoff... Well, not enough runoff to be worth it to collect and distribute. Maybe you water too much at a time? @Weedomics

  27. Alrighty, let me clarify my comment. With a small outdoor light to keep the plants in veg, then outdoor veg starts end of August and ends the 1st of March when you remove the outdoor light from play. Then proper flowering happens and you end up with a much less leafy bud structure due to the clean cut over In light cycle, even though it's outdoor. That's my outdoor best practice. But if you don't have an outdoor light handy and won't be able to make a plan for one for the next few years, then outdoor season is marginally different. Plant from mid September as advised and the plant will be huge and likely start flowering from mid January. Not my ideal grow vibes but it is what it is

  30. OK guys I'm just saying yes to everything that ul discussed. With regards to the outdoor iv also noticed that the salt is visible after it dries off. For the next outdoor was thinking off having two outdoor one with organic and one with ghe. (and the soil I use for indoor). If this has really been done I'd really like to know the difference between the two. If any. Iv also noticed that onions and tomatoes have an important roll in organic soil. If anyone can help me out on understanding how much and how to fertilize my organic soil. And I just Wanna add that this had been the most wellcoming site yet know to mankind. I second the promotion of our peace leaf to bring back the love unity and peace to our corrupt world.

  33. Time to convert 2 more cabinets. Friends helped out with cfl's and fittings lying around and I bought a few when there was change after nappies.. Tight budget. So now I had 1 x 85w, 5 x 20w cfl's and a led tube light that I juggled around over the next few days. So far the plants are still looking good, one or two have slightly browned tips. But I'm well stoked. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

  34. I feel honored that I've received the very 1st cuts in this initiative... In continuation I will like to donate a few of my cuts to @Bospatrollie2 and @420sake... I will be personally hand delivering these babies to my 420brothers at the upcoming Trinity Farm meet-up ... Who can guess the 1 thing we not gonna run short off? Guys let's free style a bit for now. Share with those close to you and those you connected with. Post the share on this page. We have to start somewhere. @Bakstein420 I will gladly donate you a cut. You probably live down the road from me The only obvious condition is the grow diary. This is the reason for all this... To showcase some quality plants that could oneday earn a name and be associated with this forum.

  35. This is a back dated story of me finally starting a cabinet grow. There are going to be a few "What the *$#k is that dude doing" moments so feel free to comment. The grow is all about learning. Lockdown had just begun, although the wife's and my family company started feeling the pinch about a month before the shit hit the fan. I was sitting in the garage tasting my first batch of moonshine staring at the wall to wall cabinets. Right, I thought, time to give this indoor grow a go. Seeds that I had from my last outdoor grow went into seedling trays in soil, left and forgotten about. The moonshine turned out pretty potent. About 7 days later I walk past this seedling tray and all but one seed had popped their heads above ground. I was wondering what my wife had planted every time I walked pass this damn tray in an arb spot. MOONSHINE. Now I had to make a plan. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

  38. Exactly what I got when logging on to check Take it as warning, dont do the same thing again or same people especially. Big helper, wrap the sucker before you box it, with that carbon copy paper, it's cheap and the xray cant scan through and see the plant If you have a smell, you can pack the outside after wrapping it, with that cheap wheel bearing grease, the dogs cant smell through it. Hope this helps

  39. As long as you're not selling it's totally ok to give someone a clone. In terms of sending via courier companies, it will be all to do with terms of service, and I don't know of any courier services that "allow" for plant matter to be couriered. Do people send clones via couriers? Yes.

Or do I extract from the banana. I really like the compost system coz I been mixing up kitchen off cuts. And I feel the result is OK. However if I know what to mix in that it would benift the grow instead of gooing all the alls in there I'm sure I can improve on my bud... Or maybe my theory is wrong.

  49. So the Gelato is carrying on with out a fuss. She may be small but has given zero issues this far. The LSD however is proving to be a bit of a diva. I have been struggling for the last week or so with twisted new growth that is very light with dark veins. It is way more noticeable under the LED than in natural sunlight. I gave her a dose of epsom salts hoping it's a sulphur deficiency. I flipped her to flower at the beginning of the week and have just started with half dose feeds of biobizz grow and bloom. Apart from the new growth she seems healthy overall.
