  4. So I enjoyed working with the Slurricane cut last year, and my small sample grow of the chocolate Gelato x Slurricane gave me really good phenos. Made me decide to do another run and hunt out a few male and female phenos to push the F2 generation. Going to be running them in a mix of 1l to 5l pots, FF premium, and Biobizz.

  5. So I decided to start a couple of new plants from seed. I want to see if the new genetics from Green House is worth a try. I am trying the Deep Candy CBD strain and the Cloud Walker. They look good so far. I was disappointed with all the previous stuff I have grown from them.

  6. Small update on some of the strains I was growing and some for a second time, this time was a bit better I think, but also could have easily sparked catastrophe due to a cal/ more so mag deficiency in my soil which caused me to lose the ghost train haze (caution was thrown to the wind). Never the less the other plants snapped back well. 7. Morning folks. So this past weekend was topping and training time for the mainline. This is alway a stressful exercise as you do not know how the ladies will react to the high stress training. But I am very happy to report that all the ladies took to the topping and training like champs. I initially thought that the Tortoni #1 and #2 will be a slow growers... but it looks like they were just slow out of the blocks and now catching up to the big 3 ladies. Tortoni #2 will get her topping soon. The Bubblegum looks like it will be the smallest in the tent. A true representation of a stocky Indica... The Palomino and Twisted Helix really recovered super quick from the topping and will be ready for the next top in a week or two. From the 5 plants I topped and trimmed I was able to get 34 cuttings. And they all seem to be getting on with the rooting stage. I tried something different in terms of lighting for the clone dome and it seems to work. Got LED strips from builders for cheap and just arranged it over the dome.. Palomino Twisted Helix GSC Tortoni #1 Bubblegum Tortoni #2 Tent view Clones Improvised Clone Dome

  8. Week 10. Leaves on some of the plants turning purple. Chilly and misty nights have arrived on the reservation. Wish I knew more about the plant to explain what's happening growth wise but looking pretty healthy.

  9. Ok guys... can dump all my tables.... I was rather reluctant to use bio heaven from BioBizz... just price wise. So i made a test with the pheno hunt on some clones i took. Let 2 1.2x1.2 trays compete with each other. Same mother, same soil, same water, same diodes, same fertilizer setup, except one tray got additional bio heaven. I was surprised about the result myself. The tray with bio heaven not just yielded 15 to 20% more dry buds, the potency test at canabliss showed 20% more thc content too. So yeah... is kinda worth it. I got a product, SA producer, claiming it does the same... is next test i will do. More then 10 times cheaper as Bio Heaven... If you use FF Premium, just go with the table you get at hydroponics.co.za for BioBizz. I didnt use the activera.

  10. Clones are looking great man! one consideration i have found is at 100% RH, i tend to get all kinds of funky happening in my dome after a week or so. i keep the vents on my dome open , and lift the side of my dome lid up by like 1cm so that the humidity drops a little... to like 90% i have found the cutting root a bit faster, and dont get any funky on them if they need to be in the dome for a while longer. basically i try aim for just before condensation runs down the lid

  13. Nice, looks good. A 9w led bulb in a lamp would probably work well for the clone dome too, I normally put my clone dome into my veg tent and haven't had issues with insufficient light. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk

  14. Greetings everyone. Im excited to join the family, I've been around the grow scene for some time, grew my first plant about 16 years ago, had a YouTube grow series which has been taken down by YouTube a couple of times, also been involved in the international forums, moderatored a few, but I thought it was time to make a move on local scene since it makes more sense especially when discussing local products. I enjoy helping and giving advise as well as receiving it and discussing methods and techniques with others. Im not sure if i can add one of my YouTube videos on the forum so I ll leave a couple of pics of my grows

  20. Heyo! I’m logging this here, and for future grows for all the strains I’m growing. I was suppose to end off with these 2 wedding cakes, however, it seems cooking the temp and tweaking things here and there have been working out alright for now. Some days I reach 35 degrees. In for a ride but positive. Growing. 2 front - @1000Hills Nursery wedding cake x smeet (will finish off in this thread) Back left - unknown white widow (thanks @SkunkPharm @GGG) Back right - In-house - Frosted apricots (partial about this one, but we will see) Feeding Water, ssts, fish hydrolysate, Epic 5:2, malted barley This specific soil contains neem leaf powder. Back 2 in 40l Maxgrow fabric pots - started flower on the 1st Jan

  22. @Stefanshot man will follow along and check out your grow fosho. I had a pretty successful summer grow so decided to experiment with a autumn/winter grow. The idea is to use living organic soil, no nutrients and grow a couple of small plants just for shits and giggles. I've read about seed to harvest being done indoors but never seen any solid documented grows outdoors with this method. My plants are definitely growing slower with the shorter light cycle and no nutes but still looking healthy and one is already starting to bud after week 5 from germination! Yea to come back to your question. It is the wrong time of the year to grow outdoors but we still have plenty sunshine and relatively mild temps so nothing to lose. Only knowledge to gain. Follow along and see what happens. Maybe it could be the start of a revolution

  26. That’s bb a type of fungus that paralyzes, and grows inside and threw many many insects. People say use in soil and foliar to control any aphids, thrips and I’m sure a lot of other insects also linked to a few cases of human interaction and bad stories.

  28. Exactly the same one, they do a great job of dealing with larva from fungus gnats & nutrient cycling as you mentioned. My indoor plants are healthy but last season outdoor was a nightmare with pests and the nematodes would of helped greatly. Let me know if you come across anyone selling it

  29. sounds amazing! but yusi it is quite pricey... but 20% extra yield surely takes care of the input costs

  30. Yea they not a bad range. With coco you will have to Supplement cal-mag during the whole grow due to Cocos cation exchange capacity or the plants will show calcium deficiency. Umyas Cal-Mag does a good job

  33. Thanx man. Yeah I popped the clones from the previous run into the veg tent and had some issues with excessive light. So this time round I thought to just give them enough time to settle then on to the tent for further rooting. Hopefully I get rooting from all the cuttings.

  35. Ok so maybe I was cooking a few spots a little, turns out 10-15cm for flower is far more optimum. Will teach me to be too confident when you get your values through cellphone lux to par conversion sites. Only good for approximation really, still super handy. If that seed pops it'll be my first photo. 1 has already failed and this is my last seed. Tried to prevent heat from the outside by stuffing squares of white, fluffy insulation, and then sheets of of white paper masking taped over that, ran out of materials, still, maybe it'll help a bit. That 20l fabric pot is what I'll transplant into if the photo lives, change from trusty 9.5ls. I've been adding old soil from harvested plants or really badly stunted growth plants that I've aborted. Current temp: 26.6. I'm lucky considering it's an enclosed, small garage room. I think air might slowly creep in the two exit doors when both closed, as it doesn't vary wildly. But then it's only a 80x80cm. Still on 8/10 on dimmer, it keeps the temps where I want them, which I think is most critical. A good balance.

  39. I believe the reason you do it in a certain order is to ensure you do not have the calcium react with other nutes (I think the potassium, stand to be corrected). They can end up binding to one another and precipitating out of the solution I believe. If the calcium is chelated (such as calcium edta) then it should not be an issue. I recall reading somewhere that kelpak works better as a foliar spray though? Also the benefits are only on new / young plants, as they get older it is pointless continuing with the Kelpak. I do not think it will cause issues, I use GHE nutes and personally I'd just add it to my nute mixture when watering.

  43. Yes, FF green bag and BioBizz... I have some Plagron shipping ^^ and want to test that.. just for fun. No supplier local.. I wouldn't wanna depend on Post Office. That is rather simple.. as I like to feed rather more then less. I watch the tips of the leaves. They tell me when to go water but at the end is learning a strain.. not learning to grow. You can do a dialed in grow on your first run of a new strain you test.. but that is rather unlikely. In general you need a few to get all the "special" parts of the strain. But my general routine is daily. I lift each pot to know who needs water. If I have the same strains in a tray, I usually just lift the most thirsty and not so thirsty. That tells me to mix a bucket or no. Tray feeding makes the feeding simple.. not helping to really get a perfect result. If you aim for the best, you have to give each plant a few seconds of your time a day. The Gelato I played with now, has its own tricky part.. can't over feed them or they revolt. So cut down 25% nutes on those an had a very smooth sail. never gave 4ml of anything.. beside the flowering stimulators As I feed each time i water, I expect more to run into over feeding issues, then under feeding. So the first change is always pure water. That deals with the over feeding symptoms for your feeding solution. Next 2 you can run into is Mg and Ca deficiency... you find pictures on the web.. Ca can also relate to white dots forming on the leaves.. not as easy to find, so I add it. Internet pictures should be your first go to. Or make some close ups and post here.. if in doubt. Not often you run into Fe issues.. fresh soil, you never ever should. Mg comes up most, if not one of your NPK culprits. Ca behind.. Fe.. you really have to use strange stuff Once you grew a strain for a few times, you will actually learn yourself what to do and what they dislike. Is the reason I run grow sheets.. to know where to look, if I run into troubles. Once I am happy with my result.. I also don't run a grow sheet anymore on that strain and just use the information i learned before.. I am just a amateur at the end and have fun with what I am doing. When you start racing a car.. you don't hop in and after 2 laps you challenge a F1 Pro. You do laps and improve, the more you do on the same track, the better you become. The more tracks you drive, the better you get on those tracks. And dude.. you will crash some cars, if you want to become a professional racing driver Experience helps... after a few hundred plants.. thank god, some mistakes I learned to avoid My first go to is always the internet picture section.. you know how your issue looks like.. search and trust your eyes. On the way you learn a lot more as just how to solve your issue. You read and judge if it just makes sense.. common sense is all you need growing weed. Indoor you can mess up a lot more as outdoor.. strange but true Crap light.. crap results. Crap ventilation.. crap results. Crap climate.. crap results. Indoor you have to check a lot more factors then outdoor... so you just add those to the indoor checklist for the strain
