  1. Got them from Simply Souvineer seeds from UK. Accidentally soaked the seeds for 36hours, they germinated and pushed taproot.. Keen to document my grow.

  5. Alright guys! Apologies for the tardiness, it has been quite the week... But none the less, my Tortoni has been harvested, stripped of its fan leaves, and is now drying in my drying cupboard area. I managed to get 4 decently sized colas out of her and some larf here and there.. Thanks for watching guys! It was another fun challenge thanks to @Totemicand @420SA Here comes the good stuff

  6. Week 6 done and start of week 7 This will be my last update until week 3 of flower. Everything has been boring up until now lol OK so we have seen the organics with some fast growth and they look lovely but the big question is, where the hell are the pics of the synthetic Marzcanna!? Well I don't like synthetic that's why lol! Actually the reason why I haven't posted any pics is because before I started this grow I had just enough amended coco from my previous grow for my organics, laziness soon kicked in when I realized that I'd have to buy anther brick, wash and buffered it, so I went and bought "washed and buffered" coco with perlite instead. Now I have mentioned that you should still wash and buffer your coco regardless and guess what I didn't follow my own advise, I watered the coco and planted directly (I won't mention the brand of the coco or the company, because it's partially my fault for not washing and buffering it regardless if it was advertised that it was) long story short you can guess what happen next, slow growth, alot of yellowing and even after loads of flushing and dosage of cal - mag it took the synthetics along time to recover (this is why I prefer to mix my own soil and this will be the last time I buy in pre made coco or mixed soil) The synthetics are now looking healthy and growing fast but I doubt it will catch up with the organics , I will post some pics soon but I guess it has thrown off the all side by side I had planed for this grow but forward we go. Here's a pic of the grow room at this stage and happy heritage day growmies!

  7. Loving seeing this expression among the fems. It gives me a lot of hope for finding a few of these in the f2s, which is part of my goals with the cross. Getting a frostier, and tamer(less foxtailing) CNL expression. Still this pheno looks like chunky hard nugs...

  8. Hey guys and gals, interested in your opinion here. A friend of mine brought some weed over to my place, it looked great, smelled great and got me pretty baked. It's definitely indoor, but the guy was selling this particular batch for only R20/g. In normal circumstances one would jump for joy and buy a KG of the stuff, right? I can't even grow it for that price! We smoked through a pipe mostly and what's concerning was how this stuff was popping and sparking, like those little firework sparklers just less dramatic. Very odd, it wasn't seeds or stems, when the seller was asked about it he said the bud had too much "Calyx". This just seems like something you would say to someone who doesn't understand the anatomy of the plant to get them to stop asking questions, and actually has me concerned about said friends health . Whats your thoughts? Am I being paranoid?

  10. Im happy to report I was just gifted a awesome tagged Freakshow from a genuine pro grower. He included 1 x zweet inzanty from ethos clone, 1 x Miracle alien cookies , 1 x Papaya by nirvana. So I guess im not done with photoperiod breeding just yet. Also in fem seeds we will start 5 x darkstar fems by th seeds, 1 x french marcron by th seeds , 1 x blue gelato by barney's farm, 1 x critical by royal queen, 15 x sour chiesel by big buddah, 15 x big buddah cheese, 10 x blue cheese. Guess its time to do some reversals.

  12. It’s probably shitty weed that wasn’t flushed properly and now they want to flog it. Snap crackle and pop, how did it taste? Anything like Nos?

  13. What I heard is that legal grows are pumping product into the illegal market at R10 a gram. It could be sulphur that they spayed or burnt in the last bit of the grow. Lesotho legal producers.

  14. wow shit man do you still have some of the bud? my first question to you is simple, is the weed properly dried yet? sorry if that's a dumb question, but you never know if you really sure it's not seeds or stems it could be that he rushed or pushed something during harvest/dry/cure and depending on where he rushed or pushed it, it may have different levels of concern. if you have some, grind some up and take a real close look at it, maybe post a photo for us? I had a plant shoot out nanners at the end of a grow, pushed them too far and it pollinated a spot here and there in the tent that started forming seeds. I could see the little swolen pockets in the flowers when closely inspected, I gave some of that weed to my brother in law and he also smoked it without noticing the seeds, cz they just started forming and is really just a hard peice of green "barky" seed shell that looks just like the rest of the weed, but it will crackle when sparked. if this is the case then it just depends on the smoker how much they like it, personally I can't stand it. if this is not the case, then you actually do have right to be a bit worried as your friend might be smoking on some carcinogens. it will be minute amounts, nothing to write home about. I mean there are carcinogenic particulates in the food we eat and the air we breathe, but be careful as that is the last list in life that you wana keep adding to. we rather wana make that list shorter. in this case the snap, crackle and pop is the sign of nutrients that the plant needed when it was alive that are still present in forms of sugars, salts, startch and other forms of oils that you do not wana smoke. this would be the result of pumping the plant with too much PPM in the last period of its life and not making sure the plant was atleast starting to fade before harvest. so pushed the nutes and then rushed the harvest. also, did he perhaps wash the bud after he harvested? some people wash their buds with lime juice and bicarbonate of soda then they forget to wash all that off with clean water and this may also result in a snap, crackle and pop and probably more carcinogenic and the biggest risk to your health of all the rest. definitly not a calyx problem though, the more calyx the better

  17. I tried to curb the Christmas tree shape by defoliating the main stem way more, but it didn't really work, I don't think. Returning to just training it down. Going to try doubling nutes from 2ml/3ml - micro/bloom (per 4l) to 4ml/6ml. Photo def looks like it needs...something. Trying more like 6.0pH rather than the 5.5 that it's been for a while.

  18. And just like that, we are done Plant #1 and the chosen one is as per the pics below. I trimmed up one bud properly to see the bud structure. The rest was wet trimmed of all big fan leaves(final dry trim to come) post drying. So after 11 weeks of flower, she is looking grand. The plant I chose was slightly smaller than the other one, but I felt like the bud structure was nice, good colour, and frosty AF! This is some serious sticky icky goodness @Totemic Thanks for the seeds and the competition, and all the awesome peeps who participated. It's a pity I didn't get to dedicate more time, as I really feel that if I had not neglected them for weeks at a time, that I would of turned up even better results. But it's a testament to the ridiculously good genetics as they really shown through even with the abuse. Soil: Mix of Freedom farms and my own custom blend Nutrients: BioBizz Bloom and Grow as well as molasses and some banana tea at the end Light: Phoenix Sky Sunplus 200 (240w) Th pics don't do her justice really. Apparently 3 were excluded (+ my video) also as I hit the limit but there you go
