Thank you for the advice.

Will that ensure that the other plants don't get pollinated? I am just afraid I might miss a banana and then the whole tent goes tits up with pollen and seeds.

If you get them all you should be fine.

There is absolutely no fade on the lower leaves.

The air flow, can also cause a plant to do that, where was that plant in comparison?

True no fade as yet on the clones. Mothers have a slight fade.

The clones are in plastic pots and the mothers in fabric. Not sure whether that could have played a part.

She was bang smack in the middle of the tent where there was limited airflow as I don't have oscillating fans.

I went and had a look now again and all the Bubblegum plants have nanners. Just some more than others. Total fucking buzz kill this late in the game.

Should I cut it all and and will the smoke still be any good?

I just picked up now that all the Bubblegum plants have it. Really disheartening at this point in the game.. ☹️

Go over every plant and find everyone. Something must have stressed them. As long as all the pollen sacks are picked off the plant won't pollinate the rest of the tent.  Sucks but it's not a train smash. Not getting pollinated is already stressful on the female plants. They want to make seeds. The terps are to attract pollinators. Plus all female cannabis plants have the ability to reverse themselves sometimes purely because there are no males. Its a survival mechanism. Pick off all the balls and you should be fine. Never harvest early if you can avoid it. BTW im in awe of you plants and grow. Very impressive phenos

@The_StonedTrooper and @Bay Seeds thank you for all the help guys.

Really gets a guy down when you get this shit so close to the end of the line. And just to harp back to my previous post. Not enough defoliation and air circulation all round and now I spotted this on the one Bubblegum clone.. only isolated to lower leaves...

Turned a rather all right day into a shit storm...

I will sit tonight and remove all the leaves that have a spot on. Seems it mostly only affected the Bubblegum... I only have to nurse these ladies for 2 odd weeks so I am hopeful this shit doesn't spread.

Only 2-3 weeks left anyway so as advised just plug the nanners , don't think seeds will develop properly in 2 weeks and if you have a seed or 2 per bud it won't effect the potency and all that , luckily it's late in flower . Hang in there , plug nanners and effected leaves

I've had that happen before too, it's quite upsetting indeed.

Early harvest isn't great. 2 to 3 weeks isn't long to go luckily.
I'd say try pick the nanners this time, more will continue to grow though.

You can try to continue picking all of them, otherwise I feel by the time the pollen comes, you'll be closer to harvest and the seed won't have sufficient time to form and will barely affect your harvest. You probably won't notice seeds in the buds.

As for the PM, the milk and water can help but it can get a bit messy and leave marks on your leaves unless you rinse the plants off.
I'd recommend some AQ sf, if you're able to get some bio impilo and bio tricho the 3 can work well together.
This works well as a preventative for PM at a low dose, at a high dose will get rid of the infection.
If you do nothing, it WILL spread.

I pollnated some girls 4 weeks in and had to harvest early due to WPM and some other issues.. So the flower was polinated for almost 3 weeks and I got no seads at all not even under developed seeds.. So seed wise I really do not think you have to worry.. As was said.. I could also not really say that trichome production or potency was influenced.. I imagined myself that the terpene profile was intesified somewhat..

Hi folks,

So currently sitting on day 63 of flower and it looks like I avoided a total PM cluster f*ck.

The Bubblegum and her clones were removed from the tent and harvested on day 60. Only a couple of days shy of her 9 week window. Trichome was for the most part cloudy and PM only isolated to a couple of leaves that were removed prior to hanging.

I will also have to look at the N balance with the next grow. As pointed out by @The_StonedTrooper might have had a little bit too much.

Now in the final week and will systemically check trichome for the harvest window.

Looking great, once you go into flower (after preflowering /stretch) you wanna drop the nitrogen all the way down.

What nutes you using? Biobizz?

All your plants look quite similar frost wise actually, very nice.

Hey bro.

Yes I use the BioBizz line. I think I might have prolonged the grow feed and strength a bit too much so will keep an eye on that next round.

First round pulled the N too early, this time round too late. So hopefully the sweet spot will be achieved in the near future.

You wanna bump nutes up during the 3 week stretch, then reduce the N a lot and up the P.

So with Biobizz from what I recall it was fish mix in veg (I preferred this over grow for veg).
Then gro with some bloom during stretch and then reduce the gro or drop it altogether and up the bloom a bit.

You can go stupidly heavy on bloom without negative effects. I was pushing boundaries with bloom on one of my grows when I was still using Biobizz and no burn or lockout... It was a waste though. I skipped the chart and fed based on EC which I think was like 8ml to 12ml per L or around there.

From what I recall the bloom has N in it as well, but low which is perfect. No need for additional N in flower.

Hi folks,

Currently on day 72 of flower and started chopping down the rest of the clones (1 Palomino and 3 Twisted Helix).

The remaining mother plants will be getting the chop either on Friday or Saturday.

This time round I had to opt for a semi wet trim as I had the PM issue. The Palomino clone is my favourite plant I have grown to date. Just love her looks, smell and resistance.

  • 1 month later...

Morning folks.

So it's been a while and I thought we can close this diary with some bud shots. A couple of things went wrong with this grow, one major of which was too little defoliation. This resulted in a lot of underdeveloped bud under the canopy that stole some energy and resulted in smaller mains than what I would have liked. But so we learn.

I haven't done a smoke test on any of the ladies, I want to go for an 8 week cure before I start to light it up. Most of the bud went into the jar on the 22nd and 23rd of August so will start toking up in October.

I decided to relegate all under developed bud and popcorn to the trim bin as I hate trimming overall and small larfy bud just kills my mood and willingness to enjoy the trim.. so with close to 100g's of popcorn tossed the final yield for buds in the jar ended up at 199g's

I am super excited about my next run, got 4 Old School Genetics strains from @Golden-Goose, 2 strains from Motherland genetics as well as 2 exceptional InHouse cuts from my man @PsyCLown. I hope to remedy all my mistakes with this past grow on the next run.

Thanx for all the constructive input from fellow forum members, you really helped a lot.

So here we go..

So far so good. 👍

Yeah very impressed thus far. 100% germination rate on all the OSG seeds and in some packs I even got 6 seeds instead of 5 which is an awesome bonus.

Will post a diary tracking their progress in the near future. Running the White Afghan Skunk, OSG Cheese, White Bubblegum and Super Silver Haze 98

      'Olla Bromigos!
Getting started a little later this year than last, rain around this time in my neck of the woods played havoc with seedlings last year.
For this Season I am firmly in the Local is Lekker corner, and will be running a bunch of @Totemicand some @Bay Seeds sourced a while ago from the Legends at @Cannabist. Thank you all for the great deal and freebies! Very grateful and super keen 🙃

So here we go! Up first 2 each of:
      Totemic - Green Gelato. Reg
      Totemic -Strawberry Deluxe. Fem
Totemic - Strawberry Sugar Cookies. Fem
Bay Seeds - AK Royal x Lemon Jedi X Choc Gelato. Reg
Totemic - Gelato x Cherry CBD. Reg

All seeds soaking since 4PMish, dechlorinated water with a spritz of Biodyne and BioBizz Root juice.
Some king sized seeds, some so big they got stuck in the container and needed prying out.

Very keen to get started! Some will go straight into pots from here, others via ziploc and paper towel route. Don't have enough side plates to separate 5 diff strains in paper towels etc. Will give the Fems the special treatment and let the Regs go au natural.

So I was browsing the Internet last season, more or less end of season, and in the process startes browsing local seedbanks to see whats out there. So I noticed a "free seeds" section and of course I checked it out and saw Chocolate Gelato on test a testers needed base, i guess and did a fake checkout to see what I needed to buy to get this deal. I did not complete the checkout cause I just figured lets leave it cause I don't have cash now anyhow.
Couple days later I received an envelope with feminized seeds, some rolling papers ans a sticker. All they asked was to do a test grow here. So here we go....
      @Cannabist, @Totemic
I received 5 x seeds and planted 3 for this season. 2 popped and is alive. The 3rd one did not make it sue to human error.

I'm not sure what the Sativa/Indica ratio is and the genetics either and I am hoping for Totemic for that answer and maybe a few tips..
They have been watered and fed with Humigro yesterday morning and they are responding well to it. Soon they should go to their bigger pots homes in the garden..

So here we go.. not sure if I'm early to the party but what the hel..

Will have some space in the tent soon and by the time these girls get flipped they should have the tent to themselves...
      Grow nitty gritties:
      1x1 Mammoth Pro 100 Tent
      600w HID
Extractor fan and two fans for air flow..
      The plan:
Will be starting the seeds in a tin with paper towel on top of the decoder. From there straight into Freedom Farms Seed Starter. I Have not used it before and is quite excited to try it out..

After the girls have been Veged to reach the required size, they'll be potted up into 5L pots.  Here is where I wil be testing a different soil mix for each..
#1 Will be grown in Freedom Farm Premium Classic & Diotomatious Earth..
#2 Will be grown in FF PC, DE and Super Frass
3# Will be grown in FF PC & DE Mixed with worm castings, Organic Mulch potting soil and extra Perlite..
None of the plants will get anything else. Normal declorinated tap water only. This grow off will determine my soil mix for further grows. It also serves as a bit of a test on the Super Frass and FF Seed Starter..

With these mixes I am sure to have 3 way different results..
To all the contestants, good luck stay safe and above all enjoy.. This is going to be epic..

    • By Stinger96
Wel with the new home for the Tortoni girls I desided to take up some more space with a few of Totemic's ginetics and some seed gifted to me by @SkunkPharm.. Germinated some Grape Gorilla x2, Chockolate Gelato x3, Double Sunsetx3, Dream Queen Reg x10 and DQ x Slurri reg.. x6
The girls showed face yesterday in some Jiffies and was potted up into the FF Seed Starter.. They should also help me guage the DIY Light's intensity with regards to stretch..

The second DQ in the pot sprouted but needed assistance with his helmit..😂

      Hey guys!
I am really looking forward to this grow. Objective is for personal breeding purposes.
This will be my first time experimenting with breeding cannabis, any help is appreciated 🙂

Currently growing Laughing Buddha (Barney's Farm) and Charlotte's Angel (Dutch Passion). Plan is to cross Novakane with these strains, as well as breeding Novakane F2 seeds.
Novakane F1 seeds were sourced from @Totemic. On a side note, just a thank you from my part. The beans I ordered arrived swiftly, with a lot of freebies! The quality of these seeds are unmatched.

Started germinating today, soaked 5 regular seeds for 30min in Explogrow. Afterwards transferring them to a 1:100 solution of Explogrow and pH 6 water for 12 hours.
Am a fan of the paper-towel method, and have had great success placing said paper-towel inside a plastic bag on top of my router. Will do this next...

      Grow setup:
      240W LM301b + Epistar 660nm Kingbrite Quantum Board
      Freedom Farms Premium Soil
      T.A. Pro Organic Nutrients
      1.2 x 0.7m Grow Tent
