    Rock & Metal for me

Don't know them, to be honest... will have a look on the tube. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  2. Growing some Mango bagseed outdoors, my gf picks up the odour from 10m so I reckon pretty strong. If the plants are disturbed it's even stronger. But not all strains are the same, so it's difficult to say. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  3. Its on our bucket list too, would love to grow them. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

What's happening? Did the branch mend and recover? Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  8. Evening fellow horticulturists Did some chopping and trimming on 2 ladies, as their colours were good. Had hoped to push them a bit more but mother nature dictates[emoji16] Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Youre not out of the woods yet. Just keep an eye on it, the leaves on the branch will wilt and hopefully pick up again in a few days- then you know she is healing. If they wilt and go from bad to worse and eventually dry out- bad news. Hold thumbs. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Here is what I have done... ASAP...re-align the break as best as possible and wrap the break with an elastic tape to seal the wound and prevent infection. I prefer electrical tape cause it's elastic and provides support to the broken limb. Apparently a dab of honey on the wound assists with healing. Your break is on a notsogood place.... wrap it tight with tape and support the branch as best you can. It must not be able to move or it wont heal. Improvise a splint if you must to help. If it's a large branch you might have to trim some of foliage off to give it a better chance. Hope it heals. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Plants have to acclimatise to any environment, whether you move a seedling or an adult plant. Same with transplanting, they can go into shock and get stunted. You have to introduce them to the new environment gradually over course of a week to 10 days. Otherwise you will damage/stunt them and at worst, kill them. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

  15. Quite effing shocking the amount of stupidity and ignorance. What is defined as a ''lab'' and termed ''sopisticated'' doesn't speak well for our educational standards. The part where they ''read up'', really?? - Success is proportional to effort and research plays a big part. Makes me slightly worried.... What would they come up with if they looked in my garage? 16. Evening lekker people, The ladies are doing well and putting on some good weight. Bones are for dogs...haha[emoji4] The spidermites and thrips are under control, locusts and worms are another story....Lots of butterflies around. Just try to inspect often and pick them off. Had a bit of a calcium issue but managed to get it sorted with some dolomitic lime and powdered eggshells. Havent had any rain for 8 weeks and RH is low-hopefully the pm stays away. Babies have also spread their wings. Greenfingers all the way Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  17. Rainwater or koipond water(added nitrite) Nature ph's to around 6.8-7.0 it seems. Got the Jojo with pressure pump and hoses sorted after last year's dry spell. It has paid for itself and all our plants are better for it as we have hard water with plenty chlorine. Household RO systems waste a lot of water(up to 50%) with flushing of impurities. Might be better to get a few 200l drums and rotate them to let the chlorine evaporate. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  18. Interesting question....might be very subjective due to growing styles and variable growing conditions. Even though I grow outdoor, my parameters are very similar. Extremes of both scenarios will definitely be detrimental. Too short and bushy- might be more susceptible to issues like pm, rot and poor light penetration. Too stretched and lanky- would leave you with thin weak stems and buds spaced too far apart. Wasting space. Probably the best plant ''structure'' would be in the middle somewhere, depending on the space and strain. Indicas/Ruderalis naturally grow short and stocky and would benefit from a bit more stretch wheras Sativas grow tall and lanky and probably need to be held in check. Growers manipulate the plant to fit their space, the plant isn't really ''allowed'' to grow the way it ''naturally'' would, which may also be a form of stress. I would go with a ''bit more'' stretch to capitalise on air circulation and light penetration and to avoid all the other bad shit. Happy healthy plants that experience the least amount of ''stress'' will produce the best yields. My2c Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

  20. Evening good people, Went upskirt on the ladies with the trimmers, 2 stage/2 day defoliation and cleanup. Cut back on all ''bullshit buds'' and ''popcorns'' in an effort to focus all the plants nutrient/energy supply on the solid buds. Think we are going to need some extra support...[emoji1] love ladies with curves. Germinated the next gen. Immigration

Morning, my 2c's We live in one of the most beautifull countries in the world and our cost of living is still cheaper than most. We have no hurricanes, no earthquakes, no volcanos, no tsunamis. If you want to go, you go. But as was mentioned above, if you decide to go, do your homework. Doing it to ''get away'' is for the wrong reasons, you should be ''going towards'' to better or improve your life. But on the other side of the coin, how can you judge ''how bad'' it is? Have you even been anywhere else to be able to make an informed comparison? You will be pleasantly surprised. Yes, there are problems in RSA....most other countries have similar problems and some are actually worse. Before you jump the fence, go have a look first. (Fyi a weekend trip does not count) Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  23. Good morning all, In the interests of learning have a look at this ''motherbuffer''. First noticed some munching damage on the leaves, usually outdoors it's typical of a worm or grasshopper. Doubt whether its a common occurrence indoors. Didnt think much of it at first as grasshoppers are very difficult to stop outdoor. 2nd day noticed the damage had progressed...this is not a grasshopper!!! Investigated much closer, scanning every leaf from top to bottom and found this stealthy mofo neatly camouflaged in its little house underneath a fan leaf. They hide during the day when vulnerable and come out at night and munch away in peace and quiet. They can strip a lot of leaf matter in a very short amount of time. So beware and take note outdoor growers. Cheers Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  24. Evening 420SA, Slight update on our outdoor. Flowering ladies doing their thing despite the season chill. Enjoying their tea and it shows. Starting to put on a little weight - in a good way...hahaha[emoji3] Greenthumbsalltheway. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

    The thinking thread

Strife and bullshit.... you dont have to look very hard. There is plenty of that in the world. The madness in the world. The madness is the world. As a species we seem hell bound to ensure our own demise. Mankind has turned ''life'' into a monstrosity, a psychotic, political, dog eat dog, capatalistic, stress laden nightmare of an event that you are lucky to survive from and as a bonus turns most normal people into zombie assholes. ''Oh... you live in South Africa, here have an exta helping ''fuckeduptness'' Fuckinhell...that's not what it its supposed to be about. Stop the bus I want to get off!!! (Well...more like an IED in the engine bay) ''It is not at the hand of man to take life. He was gifted with the heavenly purpose of creating it.'' Our own intelligence is the problem. ''We think therefore we are'' In our wisdom we saw fit to ignore the ''equilibrium'' of our planet. I believe we will eventually destroy ourselves. But not today... Accept that which we cannot change, otherwise the ensuing madness will steal all the joy and light from your life. Forget about the world, it will fuck itself up without your assistance. Enjoy the ''little things'' which are actually not that little. Quantum physics anyone. The love, I thought I'd never find again. A beautifull woman to share life with. The laughter of my children playing. The aroma of sunday roast. Good red wine, whiskey and great music. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
