Howzit Nimzo, Drying and curing your buds requires as much care as growing it. 1.The bud needs to be trimmed and dried. 3-7 days depending on humidity. 2.Then cut from the branches and bottled in airtight containers and burped/aired every day. Keep in a cool dark place. 3.Humidity needs to be monitored and kept between 55 and 65% for proper curing to happen. (I use a humidity gauge, but you can use humidity packs like boveda) If the buds dry out too much initially you may affect/stop the curing process. 4. Start testing your bud for smokability/ smoothness. For edibles this isnt terribly important I think. I cure for 3 weeks before I fire up a test spliff. It's a bit of a process, but once you get the hang of it, it's not so complicated. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Awesome stuff....Wish I could plant my whole back yard, but my walls are too low for now. Allready got 14 in flower, 6 vegging clones 12 new clones and 10 new plants from seed. It gets hectic, but I love it... Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Howzit 420SA, The Big Cookie Birds are doing their thing. So far we have 2x girls for sure, they have been planted out and seem to be settling well. Gave them all a dose of AACT to help with stress and ease the transition. The ladies formed a good rootball in the seedling bags. They should take off like veg rockets in the rich medium. Keep on puffin Cheers Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Afternoon 420, The@Dank Vanilla Kush Cookies are growing well. Just the girls are a bit shy showing their bits man. Did find a boy with a cool leaf colouration, lack of chlorophil. Seems to be in the genes as it's showing up in the new growth as well. The contrast in colour looks cool. I'll leave the plants to veg a bit more until their genders are clear. Still only had AACT and rainwater to date and they love it. Cheers Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Companion plants are quite cool and interesting. You can use them in many ways. Attractants- sacrificial plants for insects to munch on instead of chowing your crop. Lettuce, celery, tomatoes. Mites and bugs love these plants. Repellants- plants that by nature repel insects by smell/scent or bad taste. Catnip, rosemary, mints, marigolds/afrikaners. We grow and use our fresh herbs, so I use sacrificial companion plants. Cheers Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

There are a number of varying opinions wrt red stems. I've had a number of plants with varying degrees of red colouration, from leaf stems to main and secondary branches. Plants were healthy and growing well and yielded good bud. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Afternoon Nimzo, Are the plants outdoors? Is the gangly growth at the top new? The strange growth with the weird leaves suggest that the plant seems to be revegging. I'm no expert and I'm sure some of the other more experienced members will post their reply's/opinions soon enough. Cheers Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

If it's even remotely possible. [emoji16] Where are you situated? Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

This crazy weather seems to play havoc everywhere. We've had to shorten our hanging/drying times due the lack of humidity. Buds now finish up in a dark cupboard with decent natural ventilation before jarring. Was losing too much moisture too fast, which would affect/stop the curing process. Been keeping an eye this thread It's nice to see other people have the same ideas. Cardboard is only processed wood fibre or lignin/cellulose and can be composted or recycled easily. (Just keep the cellulose fibres away from ethylene glycol and brake fluid you may end up with nitro cellulose and glisyrine which is the unstable compound in dynamite) All our kitchen scraps/trimmings and garden refuse go to the compost pile and our garden produce attests to the benefits. We recycle/repurpose as much as possible, but peoples mindset is way behind unfortunately and it needs to change. So much more is possible, I believe we can achieve almost zero waste with a bit of effort. Was involved in a local recycling project focused on domestic municipal waste streams, had a 95% recycling rate(the numbers would shock you) It can be done and we did it. The more you take out of your personal waste stream the less ends up in landfill. That is the long and short of it.... they bury the shit like a time bomb, in a hole in the ground, then cap it with clay and rezone it for residential development on ''reclaimed land''.[emoji23] We need more creative ideas in these lines to reduce our ''footprint''. I'm on board with@Dank, if you can compost it and make awesome food for your plants- why not. We should all try and do it. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Good afternoon growbies, The Giant Cookie Birds are growing well and are still the most vigorous growers of my bunch. Suspect the tallest one to be a boy although none of the 5 are clearly showing gender yet. Been keeping them hydrated with AACT and rainwater. No nutes yet. Keep it growing. Afternoon greenfingers, The 5 remaining Vanilla Kush babies are doing well. No 6 was unfortunately beheaded by some vegetarian critter. They enjoying their AACT and rainwater and have started showing sex, the boys seem to show before the girls. 2x males 3x unknown as yet. Have a good one. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Usually they take about 2 to 3 days to crack and tap roots to emerge. In cold weather they may take longer. I prefer keeping them in a covered sideplate so I can open and close to check. Keep an eye on them and be carefull when you remove them from the towel to transplant, as the roots are very fragile and many a good bean has been lost due to a broken tap root. You can plant them out as soon as the root is out of the shell, some people prefer to wait until it's 1cm long-your choice. While you wait for roots, prep your transplant stuff. Enjoy. Swazi Gold is a Landrace sativa strain. Who knows if she's 100% ''pure'', personally believe she's close enough- lots of research done. Google will show you many pheno's.[emoji848] She has the typical narrow leaves and buds have a tangy citrus scent and strong cerebral effect. Going to let her go more amber this time - more chill and less headrush. She is on the finishing stretch, been feeding twice a week to try and reduce early leaf loss- to no avail. I like to check pistils and there after trichome colouration. Plant will tell you when they are ready. The previous Swazi lady finished with very few leaves. Don't really flush in the indoor sense, we stop feeding and plants recieve only rain water for a couple of days before the chop. Will take a few bud pics. Cheers Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Hi H2Ou Moving your plants around is going to be heavy going and a PITA.... You gonna be limited to about 20lit or whatever you can comfortably carry. Just some ideas-Have a look at the carrier bags from Woolies, they about 20lit, got handles and should work well for bagseed. 25lit buckets from China mall/Crazy plastic also work well.
