Sorry about the PM and Thrips, although you've spotted it early so I am sure it will not continue to be an issue until the end of flower 😄 💪

I am wondering how much of a difference, if any, would would notice with coco & perlite as opposed to coco & leca?

@Dookie69 You also use autopots, what medium do you use?

KmintZ are in! There are four KmintZ and two supporting ZxP. They looking fresh and ready for their flowering journey. I gave them all a nice douse of spinosad before going in just as a preventative to the latest little stint of thrips, of which I saw none of when checking tonight.

I got a little fright when looking for more PWM, but it turns out it was just dry milk on the leaves that I rubbed yesterday. Lol me. Otherwise, I haven't spotted any more PWM so hopefully that has been sorted as well.

Flower tent looking skits.

Wedding Cake clones have rooted nicely. It might have taken a month, but they look strong and healthy. They have been transplanted into small pots to continue rooting, pics below. I currently have the KmintZ in the flowering tent I can still clip some clones from, then I have two ZxP and one Gorilla Zkittlez mothers to also clip some clones from.

These mothers were not planned, they were extra clones that I just shaped into mother plants that I could clip later just in case. I am trying to start only taking clones from plants that are in the flowering tent just before they go into preflower so I can try free up some space in the veg tent.

So the line-up from after the KmintZ harvest will be Wedding Cake -> ZxP -> Gorilla Zkittlez -> KmintZ -> ?

After another round of KmintZ I am hoping to maybe have a fresh pack of seeds of something something.

I went ahead and took a dozen clones off of the one ZxP mother I had sitting around. I went back to the diary and saw the Wedding Cake clones rooted in exactly 3 weeks. I can work with that timeframe, so we will see now how these ZxP do.

I'm starting to take clones from much more developed mothers/plants and keeping a bit more foliage than I usually do. I also give the Jiffies a young squeeze so the stems aren't just sitting in stagnant water within the JIffies. It seems to have worked nicely with the WC clones.

I came from Eazyplugs, and they sure were easy! I would buy the 50 plug bulk bags and just reuse the trays, but I couldn't find any more bulk bags so I switched to the Jiffies.

I'm still re-using the Eazyplugs on occasion. Dig them out of the party cup, pull the unwanted seedling, rinse off and good to go again.

The ZxP and Gorilla Zkittlez are both midway through flower. Looking at how the plants have grown so far, I probably could have removed a few more branches from the bottom, and I could have raised the net a bit more. Jirre you think you account for it and you actually didn't. At least I don't have to tie up every branch to stop them flopping around.

Speaking of bottom branches, the KmintZ plants have got some fat foliage at the bottom. They will come very handy when it comes time to take some clones. I think I will do that in the new week.

Veg tent also looking power. I've got some straggler ZxP clones from like late December/early January in one propagator, and the freshly cut ZxP from yesterday in the other. I might actually chuck the stragglers now that I think about it. Then I've got the six Wedding Cake seedlings, six ZxP seedlings, another two ZxP mothers, and one more Gorilla Zkittlez mother.

El Plan is the ZxP and WC seedlings will replace the ZxP and Gorilla Zkittlez currently flowering, then I will take KmintZ clones next week, then Gorilla Zkittlez clones from the one mother the week after that, then ZxP from the older mother of the two a week after that. This should spread out the harvests between a week each come harvest time. This is my attempt at actually timing this shit right for once.

KmintZ clones have been taken! 15 in total. I have also cleaned up the KmintZ/ZxP plants and left between 3-4 solid branches from the tops. The internodal spacing is looking good on one of the KmintZ, I've taken the majority of the clones from this one. There are two KmintZ that seem to be more on the stretchy side. Lastly, I have done a final top feed with preflower nutes before turning the reservoir on over the coming weekend.

Imma be honest fam, pm be fighting me hard this run, but I'm catching every cheap shot it's throwing. I'm like an autistic chimpanzee wiping away any build up with milk and paper towels on any surface I find it. So far, pm clusters have been pretty light and not well established and exclusively on leaves only and mostly on the Gorilla Zkittlez. Just now, I did spot some very very minor traces of pm on the ZxP. I am guessing it's exposer from the Gorilla Zkittlez.

I haven't seen any problems with my precious buds. I've got this pain under control with the monitoring so far, but after this run I am going to adapt my setup slightly. Firstly, cheers Gorilla Zkittlez you bloody pm magnet. I am also moving my setup into another room that is one floor up and not directly accessible to the outside. The new room will also have an aircon, which will be great for next summer.

I have also come to the conclusion that my scrog net game is absolute dog shit. The plants grew way past the net and have again done the flop of dicks. At least they are still in view this time and not hanging low by the pots again. This will also be addressed in the next run, I'm thinking of doing some topping again and flattening up the canopy. Levels, my man. Gotta think levels.

With regards to the ZxP and Gorilla Zkittlez, I'm thinking of reaching the standard flower time of 8 weeks and not hit that extra week of ripen that I usually do. This will be in two weeks time, which going off of the looks of the plants the ZxP looks like it's going to start ripening from now and the Gorilla Zkittlez will maybe start it's ripen in another week. So I think I will harvest the ZxP first in two weeks, then let the Gorilla Zkittlez sit for a bit and make a chop soon after.

I've also been thinking of maybe just taking the main colas off first and let the lower branches chill a bit seeing as they are the least affected in general. I also notice at times that even when the main colas are mooi ripe, the popcorn nugs that aren't as close to the lights don't look as ripe, but somehow always through the curing process end up sorta kinda similar. I'd like to play around with this idea.

Oh ja, and the KmintZ are lekker. Just vibing.

Now for some pictures.

If you wanna move away from scrog nets, then look at stakes.

With single or fewer colas, staking is not an issue and a single stake per pot works well - use twist ties to secure it to the stake and that should hold the heavy bud up.

If the PM gets worse, well, we've discussed an option.

I took some closeup pics tonight to get a lay of the land. Gotta say, the ZxP is looking mighty fine. Gorilla Zkittlez got a little ways to go still. I think I may just take the tops off of the ZxP soon and let the lower branches then develop a bit more.

I have taken the tops off of the ZxP plants at 7 weeks flowering. Trichomes are all milky and I can't really spot any clear bulbs. In the past, I've always gone 8+ weeks on the ZxP but I've opted for a staggered harvest on the ZxP for now. I will let the lower branches go for another week. The bottom branches are nicely spread across the net now, so there's that. Not losing the tops to bud rot for me is just an absolute win right now.

As for the Gorilla Zkittlez, it's a world war going on there with the powdery mildew. The milk and paper towels solution aren't working anymore so I am just plucking leaves now, and the stress is starting to show on the plants. I am going to also take the tops off of the Gorilla Zkittlez in a day or two from now. The bottom buds are definitely not as developed as the ZxP, so I am going to have to see as I go as to what I will do. I'll do a detailed post on the Gorilla Zkittlez tonight.

Alright, so the experience with the Gorilla Zkittlez and powdery mildew has been enlightening. It appears that for the most part, the PM gets as far as the sugar leaves and then kind of gets "trapped" by the sticky trichomes. To my delight, it seems that none of the actual buds have been compromised thus far. It is getting a bit much plucking every heavily affected leaf from the plants, I can see the plants starting to stress further.

The game plan is to take the tops off tomorrow evening, same as the ZxP. Then I will try to push for another week as well as pluck as many affected leaves between now and then as possible.

I have lost two beautiful tops to bud rot. It was completely unnoticeable until I had begun the harvest tonight.

I had started at first to just take the tops off, but I soon realised the extent of the PM as I got deeper into the...well...weeds...and decided that leaving the bottoms any longer would compromise them. This is for the GZ specifically. At first it seemed as though I was going to lose the majority of the popcorn buds due to lack of development but as I started going through them, I ended up throwing maybe only two or three popcorn nugs away.

Fokit. I got a relatively clean run on the last ZxP, and my first harvest this year I had lost like all the tops. You know what they call this? They call this progress. Statistically, I'm winning. So take that, bourgeoisie. 8-)

Anyways, new game plan. I am going to chop the rest of the current ZxP on Sunday. I would do it tomorrow, but I will be participating in a 3+ hour jiu jitsu grading ceremony of death in the evening, so my body will be unable to do much the entirety of Saturday.

Earlier today I had prepped a new room in which I will be moving my entire growing setup. Flower tent, veg tent and a drying tent, all in one environmentally controlled room. Jirre I will poes off hard if I get pm and bud rot again. Some would call this, 'foreshadowing', but as I have said before I am a betting man. I'll roll that dice until I hit two sixes. Or two ones. Idk dice rules.

I'll therefore be moving the KmintZ while they are currently in flower. It is maybe a 20m journey for them so I don't think they will trip. Another reason for why the move needs to happen now is because I have the next batch of ZxP as well as the Wedding Cake clones in the veg tent just begging to get flowering, so the time is now...now is the time? It's late.

Here's a chonky Gorilla Zkittlez top.

The ZxP has been now fully harvested. It felt like double the time harvesting compared to last. I am looking forward to weighing it all in the end :investigating

Only the KmintZ remain in the flower tent. Tomorrow they will be joined by the Wedding Cake and ZxP clones.

Pappa J sells a PM solution which apparently helps with bud rot also. Have you looked into it? I have not used it, only heard from @SkunkPharm but Im going to include it in my next grow just as a preventative measure.

My fist ever grow I found lots of bud rot and had to dump a lot of buds, was a very unpleasant experience seeing as you put so much effort into the grow.
