  1. Magic Garden tents from GT Hydro are not good. Have had a few friends who purchased those tents, the zips do not last and light leaks all over the material... including the zip. I have used Secret Jardin tents before, they are decent. I had that exact same Secret Jardin tent and it's good quality and comes with some extras such as a scrog net and you can choose where to position your fans for exhaust and they provide a passive air intake filter which you can choose the location of as well. Also the piece for the electrical cables, you also get to choose where on the tent it goes - they basically supply some nice fitment accessories and a device for you to easily cut out the perfect sized hole for the attachments. Very nice and clever system - works very well. You get a patch it as well, if you ever want to close up one of the holes and these accessories can be purchased separately. Stock is currently an issue in SA, I want to get a Bud Box tent but no stock yet. Mammoth is good too. I have heard decent things about the Mars Hydro tents as well. So depending on what you are able to find and pricing, go with the cheapest perhaps. Although I would not recommend the Magic Garden tent due to the quality - if it were to be used for drying your bud then it should be fine although I'd personally prefer to get a different tent for growing. 2. Maybe it's all the chemical ferts making it tasty? [emoji14] hehe Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  3. That's exactly it. The Samsung diodes found on most quantum boards are far more efficient than the older tech diodes which are found on blurple and some other led lights. So price per watt when comparing old led tech to new led tech may seem good, however its not Watts which grow plants. Its also not lumens which grow plants. Its the usable ppfd / par and when comparing the usable ppfd of an older led light to a newer led light it becomes clear which is the winner and which offers the best value for money. Especially after you've been running the light for a few years. A 120w blurple light may only have output equal to an 80w quantum board light for example (just an example, not actual figures). That extra 40w adds up in terms of heat and electricity usage over 3 years or so. MiGro actually did a comparison of a few lights based off this. The less efficient lights were cheaper to buy but long term they quickly fell down the list and the higher efficiency lights became the cheaper lights. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  4. Definitely seems to affect people differently. I do prefer vaping over edibles, I also find edibles can be rather grounding in the sense that it makes one lazy. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk

  6. Nice! The plants will finish at the same time, however growth may be a bit quicker with coco and fertigation vs soil and no nutes or nutes and watering every few days. Keen to see how it turns out and what the results are. Variables play a role too, but it will still be interesting to see.
  7. Does not look as if you have a proper tent, so it is 100000% dark when the lights are off? Does any light leak in? Perhaps from a window, under a door etc. etc. If the plants are not getting 12 hours of more of darkness, they could be revegging.
  8. That is new growth since you got the cuttings? If so, awesome! Slowly start to increase the nutes as the plants grow. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  9. Oh ok, a low dose of perhaps 0.5EC or so should be fine for now if you want to be cautious. You could likely start increasing it once new growth is seen.
  10. I have not used predatory mites myself, but have had a friend who has and it works but don't for fungus gnats. The mites are also not instant, it takes time.
  11. I believe this should work well, never tried it myself though. However the adults I believe still need to be controlled.
  12. I got rid of the thrips you gave me with a mixture of Pyrol & Neem... I think I only did one or two sprays and never saw a thrip again.
  13. I assume its GHE nutes? You can move over to the first true leaves, that should be fine. I wouldn't have added the worm castings, will mess with the ratios a bit now.
  14. @PuffPuffPass Yes, you can still use it now - there is no bud formation and not even many pistils. Pyrol alone should suffice to be honest and I know of people who have used pyrol during flower even. Neem you may want to be more cautious of when using it though, preferably not during flower. This is what Pyrol looks like: At least the brand I use. Nurseries should stock it, perhaps even builders. Various online grow stores as well.
  15. Curious to see what ends up working well for you. Fungus Gnats have been a bitch for me to get rid of, at one point I got so desperate I even tried adding Neem into my feed and watering the plants with it. When I switched over to coco, they disappeared on their own.
  16. Looks like damage from pests. I was thinking thrips, but could be spider mites too I guess. You really need to take a close look at the underside of the leaves as the pests are very very small and will look like a small speck of something (white, red, black etc.) Here is an imagine, as you can see it is zoomed in. Look how small that thrip is: If it is pests, which I think it is, then pyrol works really well. Neem can work well too if you already have it. I have even used a mixture of pyrol and neem together. For spider mites, here is a picture to help you out: When you spray the pesticides, make sure you get underneath the leaves as well as mosts pests like to hide under the leaf. You will need to spray all your plants as well. Best to use a spreading agent as well to ensure the mixture stays in the leaves and does not bead and roll off.
  17. They're already rooted, right? Are they in soil or coco? In coco, you start one with a low dose. First true leaves dose should be fine. In soil you could possibly get away with them not getting any feed or you can use a low dose as well. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  18. Looking rather dry. With this hot weather, make sure not to let them dry up too much. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  19. It is a bit of a mission, but not difficult. Perhaps a tutorial for some beginners or people looking to get into trying coco will be a good idea though.
  20. @wanna be dagga kop it really is not difficult to buffer coco. Perhaps I will put together a tutorial sometime with pictures - however when using coco you do need a decent PH pen. Will see if I can get a tutorial put up early November when I have a bit of time and am buffering some more coco.
  21. If the Slurricane passes on its frost, it will at least be a good plant to look at! I don't know choc gelato, but have heard good things about gelato - I am sure this will be a pretty awesome cross! How do you get your seeds out when you have a looot of seeded plants? Any easy way other than digging through the bud?
  22. Dem seeds be poppin' bruv What was crossed with the Slurricane?
  23. That is pretty small and slow in terms of growth. Being an auto, I would cut my losses and start over to be honest - the yield you would get from that would be teeny tiny. You may not even get enough for a single bowl at this point. Is the plant in a tent or open area? Humidity can be kept high by placing a plastic bottle over the plant when its small if the humidity is very low.
  24. If that is damping off, then you can try using some explogro or trichoderma when soaking the seed as that can help prevent damping off from occurring. I soak my seeds in distilled water with a drop or two of explogro as it contains trichoderma and then I use that same water to wet the carlton towel before putting it into a ziplock bag. How well it works, I can't say but I have never experienced that issue or had seedlings randomly die.
