  1. Did some defoliation last night in the flower tent, was much needed for light penetration and air flow. A very mess grow indeed, but this is what happens when you start with lanky plants which need to be trained and are quite tall already. The smaller ones in the front are a bit better as those were a bit smaller when I received them. Tent it starting to smell quite nice and I came out with my arms being a bit sticky after trying to get to the back to get rid of excess leaves. I love the smell of cannabis plants in flower.
  2. Nice, they're looking good and healthy!
  3. Keen to see how they all turn out and compare and then compare against the photoperiods I have going. I popped 2 more seeds on Saturday evening, waiting for a tail to show before I pot them: 1x Mephisto / Nightowl Creme De La Soul x Zamaldelica 1x Dutch Passion Brooklyn Sunrise Need to probably start some training on these autos a well, will see how much time I have tonight.
  4. Quick update on the plants. One tends to forgot how slow it can be when growing from seed, sigh.
  5. How leaky is it? Also keep in mind you don't want to be pumping fresh air into the room and pumping the low rh, cold air out and have your ac and dehumidifier working all the time. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  6. 3 x 3 is not a particularly large space, however if its a shed... how much direct sun does it get? 12 000 BTU should be more than sufficient, however if you wanted to be on the safe side you could go for 18 000 BTU but I am not convinced it will be necessary. I wouldn't pay extra for 18 000 BTU in that size grow room. I'd suggest going for an inverter AC as well. Midwall units are typically more efficient than a portable AC and I am sure a portable 12 000 BTU AC will manage in such a space.
  7. Welcome man! Enjoy your stay
  8. Is that not perhaps more of a booster fan? Would we be nice if we could get figures as to how much air those fans move.
  9. Best is to get a proper PH pen, HM Digital have a decent well at a reasonable price (just under R1k). I find the cheaper PH pens are not as accurate and lose calibration after each use. Also get some PH down while you're getting a PH pen. It's not expensive. I myself want to get a Prima Klima fan to try out, I got some RAM 6" inline fans and it's reasonably quiet for the amount of air it moves, but you'd want to get a 4" fan and not 6" as your grow area is quite small.
  10. When I spoke to Jesse he said if you are just pressing a bit of bud yourself its not an issue. They likely wont charge. If you want to have them do an extraction for you, then you pay.
  11. Been busy, kept forgetting to take photos. This is the veg tent on the 6th, looks a bit different now. As you can see I moved the autos to the back under the lowered light. aaaaand this is flower at the moment, bit messy - some very lanky plants this grow canopy isn't all that flat. There are not any dark spots, just the way my camera has taken the picture. I have been adding some plants to the flower tent as I feel they are ready, so they're at different stages. Some in pre-flowering and others are starting to form bud. Also some still need to stretch. Been dealing with some thrips and random bugs in the coco, I suspect its springtails. I feel I am winning the battle with the thrips though and you can see a little burn on some of the older leaves from some sprays. need to spend a bit more time and trim and neaten the plants.
  12. African Smoke have rosin presses which clients can make use of and they can help you with extractions and such too. Do not think they do tinctures though - rosin and hash I think it is.
  13. Very well camouflaged, I guess this is the whole purpose though. lol Not sure if pyrol would work for that pest, perhaps a mixture of pyrol and neem. Otherwise you could try beauveria bassiana - but keep in mind the effect it may have on other bugs nearby.
  14. Thanks for sharing with us, always nice to get such feedback to help others avoid making the same mistakes.
  15. Have you seen how Totemic has hung his light? Get a bit of extra height that way. That fan should be good, acoustic ducting is fine too. I'm not actually sure how much if a difference the ducting makes after I switched over from acoustic to normal but might as well go acoustic I guess. Sounds good keen to see how the grow turns out. 16. I like soaking then into paper towel - I like being able to see when the tap root is poking out then I put them into coco.
  17. Looks good, with the 5L pots they're going to be small plants. I'd have tried maybe 10L pots and fewer plants 20L may be a bit too tall in terms of pot size as you only have 1.5m of height. Perhaps around 2 to 4 plants inside the cupboard, flip them relatively early as you do not want them to get too tall and LST will certainly help in terms of height and size.
  18. I personally wouldn't put it back in water to soak. I'd suggest leaving it in the paper towel, I assume the paper towel is still moist?
  19. That sounds really cool and convenient if they let you use their equipment. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
