  1. Welcome and enjoy your stay!
  2. So even when growing some seeds, there can be variances. Best is to use cuttings to try achieve a more reliable comparison. The one does look ever so slightly yellow, are you PHing your feed?
  3. A quick update on the auto's... They're getting there slowly.
  4. You need to decarb the bho / rosin before it can be used as an edible. It is like using a more concentrated form of oil / butter when cooking. A quick google search and I found these guys, never ordered from them before though. https://ethanolsashop.co.za/products/96-sugarcane-ethanol-rectified-un-undenatured-food-grade https://ethanolsashop.co.za/products/botanical-extraction-96-sugarcane-ethanol-rectified-ena-fd Food grade ethanol is not cheap, I looked into it a few months back and was put off by the price and considering it is a consumable as well. I wanted to use it to clean BHO and help purge the butane, hoping the Ethanol would be easier to purge.
  5. Food grade ethanol isn't the cheapest as well... What puts you off the idea of BHO? What about a rosin press - no solvents if that is your concern. You also have the option of vaping your dry bud as opposed to burning it. Take the cannabutter and put it into capsule as another alternative? Reduce the amount of butter for a more potent form of cannabutter.
  6. My grow is similar, room with the tents and the fans extracting into the room and then the AC which cools down the room. The AC vents the hot air out of the room though which causes a negative pressure so fresh air is pulled into the room under the door and around the door frame where there are gaps and obviously when I go in and out of the room. The AC actually always pushes air out of the room, even when in fan mode so there is always some fresh air getting into the room and not a large enough amount to disrupt the temperature too much so the efficiency in terms of the AC cooling is still decent.
  7. 201g dry from an auto, that is quite something... DAMN! Curious as to what I will be getting from the auto's I currently have going. Wonder if I can break 150g dry from one of them.
  8. @rudyrudeSorry, but what is a CBD producter? Not sure if it's a typo? You want to grow some CBD plants?
  9. I do not have much experience when it comes to using oil with animals, however I believe they need less than we do. Also there is always some thc if you've made it yourself from bud. Even the Charlottes Angel strain I grew has thc, albeit quite a low amount its still in there. I guess if you skip a day or two, does the dog want to eat the same amount? May not be a bad idea to deworm all animals too if that hasn't been done in a while. Its cheep too. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  10. Nah, never used green house powder feeds. I'm using GHE Tri Part. I've previously used Biobizz, Hortimix and Haifa. Tried various extras and such too. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  11. I must admit, I am kinda put off with the old school strains which have become popular due to the fact that even if you do not smoke weed you probably know some of the names and heard them somewhere ... due to the popularity of these names, soo may breeders have "these strains". However I feel a lot of them do not have the original cuts in their mix, its not the proper strains which they are selling. You see what they look like once grown out and I think to myself "No thanks, I will pass on that... Doesn't look too great". I feel a lot of these cheaper EU breeders have kinda put me off some of these old school strains by doing this. @Golden-Goose taking a look at your site, it certainly seems as if these old school genetics are certainly a step above what a lot of the EU breeders claim to be the same strain. At the same time, lots of the US breeders are literally chucking pollen. Ethos and In House Genetics are two popular ones which come to mind. I see IHG have just released a "Pancakes" mix of strains. Various strains which are mixed with their Pancakes strain which is London Pound Cake 75 X Kush Mints 11 There are like 14 "new" strains as they've just crossed some older strains with Pancakes.
  12. Does weed give you the munchies? I think it is a very big possibility it could increase ones appetite. Whether that is caused by THC, CBD or something else I am not 100% sure though.
  13. Yeah, this form factor could work well in a cupboard or make do grow area. 88% efficiency isn't bad but is lower than the Meanwell drivers. For what you're paying for the light, not the end of the world. At that price point you don't expect top of the range anyways. DIY often works out cheaper, but buying is much easier and quicker. At this price point, DIYay not be worth while for such a light. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  14. Hmm, interesting way of watering. Similar to how the blumat carrots work in a way. 20 seeds and all were male? Like what are the chances. Super unlucky and unfortunate. What's your plan for the next grow? Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  15. Ha, that's an auto? Pretty sure I have some seeds of this, may decide to pop one or two sometime soon. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  16. Was curious what as to what you guys thought and wanted to see. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  17. Very nice. I love the look of dark bud. I'm hoping my LSD 25 auto will be dark like that. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  18. @Totemic I totally copied you with the way you hang your lights
  19. So I finally finished setting up the flower tent properly last night as my fans arrived and I had cable ties (I use a looot of cable ties in my tents, seriously useful things they are!). Took some pics as a quick update. This is what my flower tent currently looks like, still got space to move over a few more plants once they are ready The top of my flower tent, as you can see its 4x 240W QB's and 2x 30cm box fans and lots of rope ratchets and cable ties. lol Veg tent, with the autos and cuttings. The baby plants at the back of the veg tent, still a few weeks before they will be going into flower.
  20. I have always trained every cannabis plant I have ever grown. I have never just let a plant grow like an xmas tree. Took some pics last night, got leaves on all the seedlings now.
  21. That is quite a peculiar size for such a low powered LED light. Especially if you compare it to your typical QB288 which is quite a bit shorter, but wider. The QB288 form factor makes a lot more sense in a smaller tent as far as I am concerned. Your Qb288 has more diodes, higher output and is a more slimline light. Your typical QB288 has 33% more diodes compared to that Modugrow light - 192 LM301B diodes vs 288 LM301B diodes, therefore difference of 96 diodes is 33% of 288.... or 50% more of 192. Quite a significant difference as far as I am concerned. Now the output of the Modugrow is 90W, so the diodes are running at around 0.46w each vs 0.41w each on a QB288 being run at 120W. We know that these Samsung diodes are more efficient when run at lower power and you get to the point where there are diminishing returns in terms of giving them more power vs the heat output and the PPFD. Not to mention the rate at which the diodes will degrade. I know MiGro did a test early last year where he took a look at how much the diodes degraded over a 12 month period and on average it was around 5% and based on that he suggested that one replace their lights after 4 years maximum. If the diode degradation is consistent, that is 20% less output (PAR) after 4 years for the same power input. While the diodes themselves may last for 50k hours (around 7 to 8 years), you certainly do not want to be using your light for such a long time due to the degradation. I am in no way trying to knock the modugrow light, the plain light for R2k sounds like good value for money indeed, however in terms of price per diode it is sort of comparable to spending R2.8k on a QB288 (33% less diodes, so in theory should be 33% more for the additional diodes). I am just trying to provide a different perspective and help people compare apples with apples, we are fortunate in the sense that we have multiple choices in terms of quality LED grow lights locally. I have never tried one of those Modugrow lights, but they would be relatively similar to my QBs I imagine considering they use the same diodes although form factor and light intensity would differ a bit. I tried LED strips previously and I personally much prefer my Quantum Board form factor, easier to work with and the intensity I felt was better (more diodes in a smaller area). Tent size plays a big role too obviously, as mentioned that form factor does not work so well in smaller tents. For interest sake, are you able to dim the light and what driver does it come with?
  22. @John Stonedwell Quite cool indeed, not a bad song either. Makes me think about people tripping. What would the world be like if everyone was tripping? YouTube decided I should be listening to this.
