  1. So the coco which the autos are in is from a 5kg brick and then I just eye balled the amount of perlite, so cannot tell you the ratio. But I've since started trying out BioLeaf and Freedom Farms coco to see how they do as I'm getting tired of the 5kg bricks and effort required to expand and buffer them. Do you guys think I should defol my autos or not? Previously I did and it worked out well I feel. What would you guys like to see? Defol or not? Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  2. Oh, I almost forgot about these two sad, sad autos... Growing very slowly. I actually thought the Brooklyn Sunrise had stalled and died but last night I saw the two true leaves appear. Not expecting these to be as great due to their poor start. These are just under 2 weeks old already The lights are higher up though, so think they are not getting enough light - even at this young age. I have my lights dimmed as well. The larger 4x auto's are still under 100W of lighting, I need to bump it up to 240W now I feel. May even add a bit more for them, will take a look tonight and do a shuffle in the veg tent with the autos.
  3. A quick update on my auto's, the OG Kush has been the fastest growing auto and has now started to go into pre-flower / stretch and is pushing pistils. Below is the Pluto Cut which has also been doing really well! The Gelato below is by far the slowest growing out of all the autos, hopefully it is happy to veg for longer to catch up in size. Could just be a bad seed, I have more Gelato seeds so will see when I run some autos again how it compares then. Last but not least, the LSD-25 is below which is growing slight faster and bigger than the Gelato but not quite at the same rate as the Ethos autos. A picture of all 4 together:
  4. What was the pricing per bag for interest sake?
  5. So last night I culled the Cookies & Cream as it turned out to be male. It has since been replaced by 2x Lime Drops (finally) which were put into flower last night and now the flower tent is FULL! .... until harvest. This will be a staggered harvest as I am sure you guys noticed I have been adding plants into flower in batches.
  6. As you said, its a classic song. An older one but still great!
  7. Nice, quite a trip you did there. Not sure if I will be heading in that direction anytime soon, but if I do - I have some places to stop by.
  8. A lot more effort to ride a bike up a hill, compared to going down a hill
  9. Welcome and enjoy your stay!
  10. https://lifestyle.co.za/3sixty/ So have any of you tried out this soil mix by 3 Sixty? Any ideas on pricing? I do not know many who still grow in soil, but curious to get some feedback and hear how it is and what the pricing is like. @Ill_Evan you going to give it a try?
  11. Could be different phenos. Looks as if you may have had a bit of nute burn as well.
  12. Can be soo many different factors though - it is also just 1 seed so it could just be a slow grower that particular plant. Pleasure, let us know how it goes if you do go ahead with it.

  14. Need to trim the leaves at the top too, not just the bottom. [emoji14] Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  15. Only the best muti is being used! Rhino horn, shark fins and the cherry on the top being ground up umbilical cord from a baby. On a real note, lights, nutrients and environment lead to happy plants, combined with some good genetics and the results speak for themselves. I think I might, will take another look from different angles as well and see what it looks like and what sort of light penetration the leaves are allowing at the moment. Do not want to get rid of all the leaves, but do not want excess leaves. Also not going to lie, mission and a half to get in there and work with the plants now due to their height, the fact they're sticky already and the automatic watering system at the bottom limits me from moving the pots to make space.
  16. It moves quite a bit of air. 517m3/hr on the high setting 398m3/hr on the low setting So preferably a larger tent, or just have good intake as well to keep up with the air being moved out. The air being moved will decrease if a carbon filter is attached.
  17. Correct, that is per fan. Courier will be for the buyers expense. I have the box for one of them still, can find a box for the 2nd one if both need to be shipped.
  18. What I find interesting is the comparison and how much extra foliage grew after the defoliation I did around the 15th. So even after 3 weeks into flower, still got some growth on the leaves and plants. A decent amount too I feel.
  19. Just BHO? So you're basically dabing, but at slightly lower temps than a typical dab right?
  20. So I grow in coco and I use a few things which some feel should not be used with mineral nutes. I do microbe inoculations, add trichoderma and mycorrhizal fungi and I have used explogrow too and so forth. Typically I use explogrow for when I germinate seeds, add a drop or two when letting the seeds soak. Trich and myco I get as a wettable powder, a 2 in 1, and use it when I put my cuttings into coco once they have rooted (or seeds if I am growing from seed). I then use microbe inoculations with the first feed (you could add the explogrow here too I am sure). Otherwise just add the explogrow to your normal feed at the suggested dose, but it can become very expensive as the doses are quite high and big plants require quite a bit of feed. As for how much of a difference it makes, well, that is hard to say as I run multiple "additives" - such as the trich and myco and so forth. Also most use soil and I grow in coco. However my plant growth does appear to be quicker when compared to some other members when seeds have been germinated at more or less the same time - but could be various factors which affect this. Running a side by side comparison with cuttings will help narrow it down, but is time consuming. My view is that the inoculations are not frequent and more of a once off, with the exception of the microbes which I may do roughly once a month (when I remember). My plants typically look very healthy I feel, does not cost me that much so might as well continue with it. I do not see it doing any damage, other than to ones wallet.
  21. So took this pic last night quickly, this is what the flower tent looks like currently - looks a bit overgrown to be honest. lol The original plants are around 4 weeks into flower, bud is starting to form, frost is starting to build up and the tent smells delicious!
  22. Welcome back, so far looking good. Man, growing from seed can be slow.
  23. Why not, will be good for a seedbank to stock a lot of the local breeders stock - easy way for growers to find and explore local breeders stuff. If someone wants to do an all local grow, Cannabist can be the one stop seedbank then.
  24. Hey all, So a bit of a feeler for now, but I purchased 2x 150mm RAM inline fans (brand new) to use as my intake fans. However the issue is that my exhaust fans do not move as much air with the carbon filters attached, so the inlet fans are pushing too much air into the tents. These RAM fans are powerful, even on the lower setting it is still too much. They are practically brand new, not even had these RAM fans on for more than 1 hours. Ideally I would like to trade them for the Prima Klima 125mm 2 speed fans. Otherwise I am willing to sell them as I won't be making use of them.
  25. For R500 outdoor is your better option unfortunately. Indoor growing adds up in price quickly, even for R10k it still leaves a few items for an indoor grow outstanding
