  1. Merry 2020 ppl Mr @Dank Cookie Birds are doing well. Tall, hungry and thirsty trees....just got a lekker growth flush going. Headroom may become an issue at this rate as my 2.4m ceiling is not far off, worst case they'll have to finish up outside. They still snackin on seagrow and molasses, with some epsom for good measure. Did another compost topdressing to help with moisture retention and organic volume. So far no serious defs, just trying to keep a close eye, suspect I'm going to have some rootbound issues so we prepping some 60lit tubs. Keep on puffin Cheers
  2. Happy 2020 fellow greenfingers Mister @Dank Vanilla kush Cookie ladies are doing grand. The greenhouse lady has started pushing pistils and the outdoor lady (far right) isn't far behind. They are handling our summer heat well, using more water than usual as can be expected. Can't go without a watering for more than 3 days- dankie tog vir die Jojo. Feeding Seagrow and molasses, started introducing the Ecobuz as it's nutrient profile leans more towards flowering. When they properly set in flower I'll mix them some bloom juice . Keep it green. Cheers
  3. Currently using a alu 'Sharp Stone' grinder from 'High Co'. Awesome little grinder, like the magnetic centre holding it together. It has taken quite a beating and is still going strong. Don't like plastic. Only neg - Personally find it a bit on the 'thin' side 'gripwise' if you got big hands like me, but it still works like a charm. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

    Sativa or Indica?

Terpines and cannbinoids. Cannabis plants are genetically predisposed to develop both, but the profiles of each can be influenced to a degree by eviromental factors (medium, nutes, growstyle, light) I have found that terpine profiles become more complex if harvested later. We enjoy an interesting and enjoyable smooth smoke more than getting smacked with 10pounds of thc. Just my 10c Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  5. We recently acquired a glass pipe for smaller dosages. Did some tweaking to the draw and flow and the flavour experience is awesome. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

  8. Thanks Mambawana.Neccesity is the mother of invention. We might reside in a large metropolitan area, but it might as well have been in the sticks. Try to apply the knowledge you gain. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

  10. Cee2020 Those are some pretty flowers. I wanted to elaborate on my previous comment regarding soil. I use commercial ''potting'' soils (garden master/blackwoods) in varying percentages depending on quality and bark content, but with sweat, elbow grease and time it is turned into something else. Don't know if it would qualify as a ''super soil'' but the plants love it and it suits my budget. 2x 30dm bags of potting soil 2x 30dm bags of lawn dressing 1x 20dm composted manure Add 5kgs of hydrated coco and 1kg perlite for good texture and airyness. 50kgs of my own clean and sifted garden compost and 2kgs bonemeal. I innoculate repeatedly with compost tea to push the bio-activity and get the mix hot. Turn that mountain once a week, keep it moist, airated and covered. After 30-60days you should good.[emoji3] Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  11. We need more of this. Local breeders showcasing their skills. As a grower I'm enjoying the testing and growing out of local breeders strains. It gives me the opportunity to add to my skill set and experience local breeders' dankness. There is a sense of pride being involved in this endeavour. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  12. We had our fair share of crazy weather so far this season. Wouldnt be surprised if there's a hermie or two, some plants are moving into preflower and others are solidly in preflower. Had a bit of an issue with hoppers, but got that sorted. Real glad the greenhouse can be zipped shut to avoid moths and butterflies as they can do a lot of damage and there are plenty around. 1.Swazi gold lady doing her thing and getting big. 2.Mainline training. 3/4.White widow cheese starting flower. 5/6. Non-comp Chocolope lady pushing flowers, nice and sticky.
  13. Update time... The 2 remaining Vanilla kush cookie ladies are doing awesome. The outdoor lady is surviving our hectic heat and crap weather like a champ. The indoor girl is developing some really nice woody, spicy vanilla-ish terps on the stems- a similar scent on the buds would be really interesting. They still receiving seagrow, molasses and AACT nutrient wise with rainwater from the Jojo in between. Did a enriched compost topdressing on the greenhouse ladies to add to the organics and aid water retention a bit. So far so good. Cheers vir eers.
  14. Morning Greenfingers, The Giant Cookie Birds are growing well and are by far the most voracious plants in the greenhouse. Got some serious terps coming off the sticky stems, from a sharp, herby, zambucky scent on one plant to a spicy cinnamon and sandlewood on another. The outdoor lady has survived some nasty weather and still looks awesome. I'm feeding the outside girls same as greenhouse. Seagrow and molasses in between their tea's Topdressed all the plants last week with an enriched compost mixture to add organic volume and help with water retention. If the stem terps are anything to go by, the buds will be really tasty. Here's to quiet optimism. Cheers

    Nute Burn?

Lekker@Stinger96 Those plants recovered well from the transplant(good decision) and they gonna veg properly now. Good to see the skills being taught to the younger ones. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  16. Sometimes when we think we're helping, we actually do more harm. Nature had it covered long before we arrived. Very cool to see the ladybird larvae in action, although I have personally never seen them before. Our compost pile is crawling with fruit chafers and all kinds of anthropods.(thanks for the frass) Also leaving some of the celery to flower out, hope to attract some ladybirds as well. 19. If you have the means you could store them in a dedicated fridge at around 6deg. Household fridges are opened too regularly imo, so you will have temp fluctuations. Otherwise store in a cool dry place in a lightproof/dark container- Add some dissicant/rice to absorb moisture. Avoid sunlight, moisture/humidity and temperature fluctuations. 22. I won't either, you'll need 150% focus all the time especially since its not a 1 day event. It's a WFO(bike breaker)class event and personal limit finder. I've taken part in local events where there were fatalities. On the Roof you don't play, period. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
