Ok so this Freedom Farms soil is not all that. All the plants except the front right plant is in FFarms soil. That one is in Orgasoilux. This is the first time in 6 months that I fed soil. malted barley, molasses and microbes. They have one more week then I want to switch to flower. But that probably won’t happen with the slow growth on some of them.

i have my meters outside my tent, and they have become an indicator as to weather the tent is on or not because i dont always want to open the tent to see whats up!! This has saved me a few times already

I wanted some variety to smoke and I thought it would be good to see how the soil works with different genetics, so I’ve decided to grow these plants in the soil mixed and partially assimilated above, now the new homes of GG #4 Sherbet crasher Animal cookies Quattro kush and one Jelly bean outside to flower i must make a note and inform all that of the 60l of soil above, +- 30 have been added so a third of used soil from the dqxslurri, The soil might need some help towards the end but in all likely hood not as the worn out soil was pretty much on balance with a lack of calcium. This was solely because I wanted a new home for all genetics, and with the short veg time the plants will do well in something less nutrient dense, however, plants would do fine in 100% concentration, but then the ideal situation would require a longer veg, which won’t be the case as we will be flipping in 2 weeks or so I let this soil sit for 2 1/2 weeks in total. the plants were needing the repot.

AntZilla going to sleep as the full moon rises on the West Coast. This little one is surely testing the elements out here. High temperature. Low to no humidity. Strong hot winds. Me forgetting to water. Only the ants feeding the soil.

So the temps are up up up the last couple of days. At least the humidity is under control. This weekend the 3 blue kings is coming down. And some unknown strain stil a couple weeks off. I'd like to add here as well. Growing in pots in our heat has disadvantages, you have to manage this enviroment for your plants. I believe mulching may assist your growing efforts. Its got mulitiple advantages. 5cm of grass clippings or straw will help with moisture retention as well as keeping your soil surface cool in the heat. Its essential in the hotter areas of RSA as cannabis plants has lots of fine roots near the surface. It will also benefit the micro organisms in the soil and in turn they will benefit your plants, it will also add organic matter as it breaks down and you can easily just top it up. On the north coast 30-40deg C is common in summer, some of my seedlings have burned to a crisp. I add a layer to all my pots and even my 2x growbeds and I can see the benefit just in my watering schedule.

Maybe I'm wrong about this. I just repeated a rumour I heard. Wow you seem to know my garden/genetics/conditions much better than me. My other (non-Leb) plants aren't flowering yet. Semi-autoflower plants are supposed to flower early. Who else has outdoor plants that are flowering at the wrong time of year?

@Weskush, I've come to realize that most/many modern popular strains are not pure sativa because breeders try to reduce the long flowering period. Also: Dutch Passion's website claims that Durban Poison is a "Durban X Unknown Indica". ACE seeds is a trusted breeder that has many pure sativa lines.

The thought has crossed my mind more than a couple times. lol, Half a tote full of soil, still have the ease of moving around conveniently, and plants go wild.

I ordered on the 23 Dec, I didn't follow up until recently to give grace for holiday period. Website had no close or reopen notice. I've sent an email in addition this morning, just a response with ETA would be fine.

These are semi-autoflowering landrace Sativas that express both THC and CBD. The semi-autoflowering trait causes them to start flowering after about 6 weeks, or if they become root bound, or if they detect that the photoperiod is shortening.

Hello Garden folk! So I have decide to do a new and improved soil recipe that i'm going to make at home out of easy purchase ingredients. These ingredient will be in the ratio of what I believe will have really good results given the system is taken care-off, I'm typically going to put this soil in 2 x 40L pots out-doors..., I have not picked the strains yet but I know I need more soil so why not try something new. I will cut the nonsense and get straight to it. The recipe. per Cubic foot (28L of soil, might be closer to 30L but its not super precise) 5L sphagnum peat moss + 5L Coco 5l perlite + 5l vermiculite 8l Wormcasting (wermbosch) 1/4 Cup biochar 1/2 Cup alfalfa meal 1/4 Cup kelp meal 1/2 Cup calcitic lime 1/4 Cup dolomite lime 1/2 Cup gypsum standard grade (ground chunchy) 1/2 Cup Garders Gold dust gypsum 1 1/2 Cup basalt Rock Dust 1 Cup bone meal 1/2 Cup insect frass 1/4 Cup Humic acid 1/2 Cup (malted barley blended as fine as possible) 1/4 Cup Soft Rock Phosphate. This is quite a heavy mix but its what it takes to get those numbers up, so only water and inoculation will do for a while. I will be doing a check at what needs to be purchased and update accordingly, I'll be mixing about 100L which is easy enough as it will only require 1 decent size tote, I might consider splitting it up in 2 for easy of mixing and better consistency. Give me some time to get the ball rolling asseblief but I'm keen to have the soil mixed and cooking by the end of the weekend. I'm excited to have the changes made above and see how this new recipe results. LEKKE!

Those plants are flowering, because of the same reason everyones outdoor cannabis is flowering at some random time this year.

The only information on Sativas taking longer to finish indoors than outdoors, that I could find, was that you can veg for as long as you want indoors as you control the light cycle and push it for longer than the plant would naturally outdoors following the seasons. I do however find more information supporting the stating that the more Sativa leaning the genes, the longer the plant will take to finish. I guess that statment comes from the fact that there are lists of traits that seperate and define the genetics and this happens to fall under what represents a part of a Sativa genetic. Then there's also a lot of reference to the idea that the more environmental fluctuations the longer any given plant will take to finish. Not only cannabis. What that means is that, because we control the environment when growing indoors (again, any plant) there should be less hiccups/hurdles that would cause the plant to finish earlier. No cloudy days, minimal obstructions throwing shade, minimal external factors that can cause stress such as heavy winds, extreme high/low RH, hot/dry winds suffocating the leaves, long perdiods of rain with high RH. All these things that are ever present when growing outdoors and cannot be controled will play part in extending the time the plant takes to finish.

Watching that soil testing episode it looked like ff classic had ample nutrients, maybe it’s somewhat dormant if that makes sense, when did you give tea? I still use ff to dilute my mix for autos if I ever get a chance to grow them, last one didn’t pop. I had that dqxslurri mother so she’s in the ff with my soil 1:1, I plan on feeding

Sorry to hijack your thread @rdc420 but there's something that i need some answers to from the forum members in the know. After my post of my broad DP leaf it was concluded that it was not a pure landrace strain and most probably crossed with Afghani or Skunk or whatever down the line. I get that. But with this strain the description is exactly the same as with my DP although it was classified as a pure Sativa also. The hunt for a pure Sativa seems like a dead end.

Sorry for getting in on this a bite late, we do not check the forum everyday but do monitor our emails daily. If there is ever anything urgent, best to drop us an email. We see the issue has been resolved by removing the pot / dimmer. We have been experiencing some issues with the dimmer and got a new batch of dimmers from our supplier which we are now making use of and busy testing. @donnob Drop us a PM and let us know if you'd like some replacement dimmers and we will happily send them through to you.

you can keep the plants in veg outdoors, put floodlights up. I see this is slowly starting to become the new norm for outdoor growers everywhere.

Yup, sound advice, some patience is required here , your plant has some way to go still, bonus is those buds should still fatten up nicely

faqme bru you lost seedlings you already popped? usually it's with the seed pop most people have trouble with and from there it just gets easier. can we have photos of how they looked when you discovered they where dead? this will be a tell tale to what went wrong as with seeslings there can really only be a few things that went wrong... important question here - you growing autos or photoperiods? if photoperiods I would advise to use smaller pots when popping seeds and don't saturate the medium. if autos, same pots, but don't saturate the medium. just going off photos you showed thusfar it looks like you got a 10L pot or bigger with a seedling in it and the medium looks completely saturated - this is already bad - then I see you still got a humidifier in there pushing the RH up and not allowing the pots to dry out even furthering the problem. chances of underwatering in your case is probably very slim. you say you just using buffered coco with tap water, so shouldn't be a PPM issue. and with the seedlings that young it shouldn't be a PH issue either unless you gave them straight acid. this doesn't mean you don't have to keep ph in check, especially for you growing in coco. I am leaning towards damping off the seedlings, too much water, but I really can't tell without more photos

Update as time goes on. Humidity is still a female dog. Currently trying running the heater to help dry out the air. With temps 26/27 I can get hum below 60 if I’m lucky.
