ORGANinc.
Mid week update, the plants are doing well, put the blumat back on the bed, was going smoothly plants seems to be drinking steadily with little movement from res but today they gulped and the bed is super wet so I hope it’s done for now and I’m not running into issues. Layered a bit of oat hay for more surface coverage as the dicondrah didn’t sprout as rapidly as I would like. Don’t know how much space I’ll be left with in this format. I also topped T3 again, that makes up for the lost arm Edited June 23, 2021 by ORGANinc.
ORGANinc.
Here is what the light is doing, hopefully my coverage is okay. T1 has 6 mains, T2 has 6 and T3 has 7. I think this weekend I switch and I’ll have time to do the necessary ipms and feeds T3 is almost growing over T2 but not by much, if anything I’d prefer to just pull her over ever so slightly.
ORGANinc.
Update time, thinking Wednesday is the switch. Turned the blumat down, should be in a good range now. Got some Epic spray doing a drench with molasses/kelpak/fulvic and aminos

It seems the cannabis plants roots like a lot of space.

Yeah that is most certainly the case. I wouldn't doubt that for a second, in terms of keeping a healthy microbiome. You have got my mind thinking hard. If the top 6 inches is where the magic happens, and beyond that closer to the roots actually immediately of the surface of the roots is where you get the highest density other than that the 6inch usually stays the same size in terms of colonization, beyond thats where lack of oxygen starts, pathogens etc increase in these areas. having said that, there is another group called the facultative they do both anaerobic and aerobic, and they are micronutrient powerhouses. But whose to say for sure.
ORGANinc.
Mid week update - 3 applications of bb done, will not be doing any other IPM measures. Will be doing a decent feed going into flowering, fish / epic / molasses / fulvic extract / microbes and aminos. This soil is depleted of nitrogen quite severely, not a terrible thing, but it will need to be managed as we go through flower.

ORGANinc.
Changes made - need more waaatttz, but don’t need more bills. So, added 240w qb but no dimmers both (they gave up) so running at full - high up. I run them off a schedule that follows the sun, for 12 hours, only 2 hours (in the middle) full 480watts, trying something new, let’s see how it grafts. In my opinion, each plant doesn't need more than 120w, but that’s for their size now. ORGANinc.
Midweek update, a ton of bush happening here. I am abit concerned the tallest pheno is making space her bitch and shadowing the small baby on the left, might have to do some pulling and bending. The net will help with separating them when I eventually put it on. Day 5 flower. Nothing has changed, almost no movement from the res for more than a week now. I opened it up a tiny notch, crossing fingers no floods. - Bottom right hand corner, garden wire pulling the big girl over, ever so slightly. ORGANinc.
Good Morning to all the growers. Glad its Friday, Will be needing the morning over the weekend to fanagle this dam blumat again, this specific setup definitely comes with enough head aches, either too much or too little, anyways been able to read the situation and add accordingly. The plants are reacting well to the extra photons. Day 7 of flowering today, the net will be going on tomorrow as well. I have noticed a bit of tipping the edge of calcium/potassium antagonistic signs from all assimilation capabilities of the worm/barley top dress, as well as the molasses (this one quite high in calcium) spray, so I think this week they getting a spray of humic&fulvic only. Nothing else to report, plants are happy, managed to get less yellow/orange images, the lights get a bit intense on full. I am super impressed with this soil (almost 2 years old), exact same soil that I used to grow the WHITE WIDOW and FROSTED APRICOTS - I did reamend if after that run though. *Some lights off for colours. Twix Aphen
Good morning, they look very happy this week. Are blumats a pain to set up properly? Do you use the drippers, or soaker hose? I hope you solve the issues soon.

(only about 1,1 Meters from the floor) Adding too much pressure on the single ended soaker hose that is connected, they say 1 psi for the drippers and 2 for the soaker hose, the blumats are not a problem setting up if you loop the system so the pressure is even and utilized at 2 or more points. Soak the carrots and tops for atleast a day.

Can you connect both ends of the soaker hose, to balance out the pressure? One more thing I want to ask is why do you mix this in a bucket for 2 days before applying it? First, I put 3 tablespoons of barley down and chuck2 litres of EWC straight on top of the pot, then water it in.

Fantastic colours man .The "problem" for me with the Blumat before I realised it was that they drip when ever it's needed, I was used to hand watering daily after work so medium was usually the same moisture when I got home . Soo with the Blumat's it was dry or wet when I came home and I kept adjusting till I realised adjust a little and leave for 2 days and check again , then the happy place was found after a week . Must add that I have there digital moisture meter that helps alot with getting it setup and maintaining what you want.Sent from my Hisense Infinity H50 using Tapatalk 3
