First ever Grow...

Idiot the room over tripped the elec resulting in 7 hours of 100% humidity in the dark. It was like they had been held under water, soaking. Fml. So plenty buds have have been sacrificed to the gods of rot. Rip. I think it's stabilised now, but it's a dog's breakfast as you will see.

Don't be like me, always check your runoff, pH of 7, so I'm still watering too high. FF really mean it when they say water at 5.5-6.0. I've been doing 6.5-ish, only recently lowered to 6.0. Stupid mistakes.

Also, I've clearly been training them to death. Going forward I'm going to practice as much restraint as I can, try and get a bit more volume, so buds aren't so mashed together.

Still, ..I really like the CDxCDLS, blue grape-ish terpenes. Beautiful colours. Considering the abuse I put them through, nothing to cry about.

New: 2 unsexed Creme De La Soul x Zamal x Amethyst..something, I can't read the rest. Autos, so I'll have to transplant, not ideal, but hey.

Your plants look great man , what I do with the FF is add 1ml/L of FF Probiotic , you get microbes and it lowers the ph enough . FF can buffer up from 5ph easily but can not buffer down well over 6,5ph. It's a great product to try out.

how those trichomes looking @MrE that seems like you growing just a bud and no leaf amymore hahah looks good man I have never grown autos, but they look like they finishing up?

Hehe, ye from one extreme to the other huh! 🙂 Almost, trichomes mostly milky, so to avoid any more budrot/mould, I pre-trimmed the naked looking one last night, just to make sure there are no wet pockets. To be chopped after a bit of darkness.

Ok I rolled the dice on a gumtree tent, came up snake eyes, bad stitching - holes, and mould, but that's prob on the guy storing it locally. Going to try treat with vinegar. I'll have to figure something out for the obvious gap-hole.

At least I can flower this random photoperiod, fits quite nicely, and can use to cure bud in the future, when not in use.

Hi @MrE hope you got a real good deal on that tent 😬

I see you gona be flowering in there, just wana make sure you don't get light leaks from those open duct ports with the fans in them. Does the room the tent is in black out completely or are you doing something else to prevent light coming in there?

as for the hole, tape would probably work, you know the aluminium tape all the grow shops sell? use that to cover the hole from the inside. once done with this grow I would highly suggest getting it stitched to prevent further tearing on the seam. It's literally easy as pie, you could stitch it by hand if you know how to cross stitch. A kid could do it. If you know anyone with a sewing machine, even better. Will be a 2min job and save you a whole tent.

then the mold.... damn brother..... you don't think it would've served you better to clean the tent before bringing a plant over? I would take that tent outside in the warm sun and wash it down with every disinfectant I own a couple times over and I would let it stand for a few days to see if nothing grows again before bringing a plant in. especially a plant that's so close to flower and I can't really do many IPM treatments on her anymore.

I fully admit it wasn't worth the R200 saving. The guy says he KNOWS I tore it during setup...but it's not torn, it's the stitching. Anyway he's not happy I'm mentioning it, he threatened to come and say something about me. He did offer to upgrade me to the 80cm tent for a R300 charge, but I simply don't have the space...and the obvious.

I must black out the window more, it's close to light proof though.

Thanks mate, I'll have a go at stitching, but will get the silver/aluminium duct tape as well.

You're right, I didn't see the full extent of the mould until I was done. I'll clean it today, haven't flipped yet. A mate is concerned it has deficiencies.

What make / brand of tent is it?
Was it advertised as new or used?

No-name, most materials decent, bad stitching. New.

But I'm going to drop it now because I don't want some stupid beef and then get stabbed in the head or shot in the scrote or something, all kinds of people out there. You never know. I don't want to get True Crimed.

Beautiful training, how often do you find you end up adjusting the twist ties?

Oh too often, ye way more often than is necessary. But when I'm doing it right, just small adjustments every 2-3 days to correct for the desired projected growth.

I think I can let it veg a bit more and then flip once the coldest temps are past.

Photoperiods (well my sample size of x1) are so much fun. I can see why many say they are easier than autos. Endless veg feels like Christmas.

I tried to curb the Christmas tree shape by defoliating the main stem way more, but it didn't really work, I don't think. Returning to just training it down. Going to try doubling nutes from 2ml/3ml - micro/bloom (per 4l) to 4ml/6ml. Photo def looks like it needs...something. Trying more like 6.0pH rather than the 5.5 that it's been for a while.PXL_20210921_004829206.thumb.jpg.7ff58eeec0ea6ac39110381a0afc0b21.jpg1626166438_PXL_20210921_0056296022.thumb.jpg.697b35d073105c2775df265c6380ebe4.jpgPXL_20210921_010105701.thumb.jpg.7e89d66fd2cc197150bd9594356a342f.jpgPXL_20210921_011151364.thumb.jpg.e98aed4be8837f8a5453719c4c0ae793.jpg
