  1. Ag meh. Context at the time was local breeders. Sorry to say I misunderstood.
  2. Nah, I don't need to stir on that front. They're not using it now and I didn't really give it much attention at the time either. I don't use conventional social media so my voice would've been pretty puny to begin with.
  3. We must also account for BnB and any other seed bank that provides us our beans here locally. Maybe they also get the shit end of the stick sometimes too from the breeders. Nothing stops a big pants USA breeder from shorting our boys with old beans.
  4. I've only grown two strains from GSR and they were Grand Daddy Purple and Pink Mango Gelato. All the GDP seeds were definitely GDP, and the same for the PMG. What I mean by the inconsistency is that between ten seeds of the GDP, maybe two plants were worth the time. I don't mean to say that I didn't get the strains I paid for. But to answer your question, you don't know, because they don't use tamper proof packaging. They use those plastic vials in a small plywood box with some wood shavings. BnB have always given me original breeder packaging so I've never felt like I've needed to suspect anything. I think what your mates might be referring to are dud seeds? But that's just the nature of the game in my opinion.
  5. @Biltong and Budzhas also recommended Archive Seed Bank as a good local breeder.
  6. Ironically I believe GSR breed their seeds in California But I understand your meaning. Genetics make a real difference and there is definitely a tier to seed breeders and the strains that they produce. USA genetics do have more power at the moment because they went wild on breeding high THC strains for a long time now. I do like Nirvana seeds though and recommend them to first time growers. Also Ripper Seeds.
  7. I'll tell you what bru I even caught GSR using one of my pictures for the GDP I grew of there's. They got a better one eventually so they only used mine for a few months but I was perplexed. I had one good grow from a GSR strain but I found the genetics to be inconsistent, but they are at least the strains you pay for. Whether it's ethical to use someone else's pictures without their permission, well obviously not, but they are not scamming people with fake orders or fake seeds. Does flipping a picture and adding a filter with some branding make it fair use? Some would say yes. Oh joy ethical dilemmas!
  8. Please remind me if I have signed up or not?
  9. Yip that's how I got my Nirvana seeds as well from Marijuana SA. I was admittedly kinda worried initially because it's usually a red flag if a seed bank removes seeds from original packaging and then repackages. The worry is that the original seeds are either swapped out for some random jutt or the off chance that a packer accidentally repacks the wrong seed and sends you something else. However after having grown the seeds, they were obviously the strains I purchased so I was chilled. My assumption is that this is Marijuana SA's solution to the problem of selling packs of 1, 3, 5 etc and stock management. What happens when you have two packs of 3 seeds but you have 3 customers that would take 2 seeds each, what do you do? There are plenty of seed banks sitting with single seed packs all over the place. For me I could work with a single seed especially if it's a strain I've really been looking for, but how many of me are there? Most often that seed is probably just going to sit there for a long time. For a newbie it shouldn't really matter getting original packaging, it's nice, but for me it really gives me confidence that what I've got is genuine and that I am not going to be wasting my time. TLDR; You can trust Marijuana SA that the seeds you are ordering are the real deal regardless of the packaging. Edit: Ironically was smoking some Aurora Indica while typing this, grown from a seed purchased from Marijuana SA so there you have it, full circle
  10. Observe I, the Devil. Clearly my fault for not knowing, sorry. I have literally just what you say on this thread to go on, which is the point I am trying to make. I don't know how you are going to finish things up when these people are probably not going to respond here, unless I am missing something and they are here and I've missed one monster of a thread. I hope you get the responses you're looking for, whether here or in person.
  11. Here is a little smoke report on the strains I had harvested in this grow. I will go through them in order of personal preference; Criminal + Most certainly the best all-rounder. Dense buds, not too much outer trichomes but the potency was great. Day or night, it could be smoked and enjoyed, but not too much as it would render any tasks for the day as non-existent. Smoke was peppery and the taste was spicy. Not a lot of terpenes in particular, quite a sneaky bud actually. Aurora Indica The weakest of the strains, but this is not to say that it is not potent very fruity aroma and very smooth smoke. This strain is a delight to smoke, light smoke and easy to crush in the grinder. This strain is also the most popular amongst the friend group. Zkittlez x Purple Punch This strain is bag appeal! Most frosty and most fruity of all the strains. The smoke is a tad harsh but after a cure it really balanced out, so make sure to focus on the dry/cure for this one. Grand Daddy Purple Super gassy bud, when the jar opens you know what time it is. Diesel mixed with raspberries are what to be smelt after grinding some of this bud. Average smoke and high potency, this bud is smoked on occasion and has been made into medicinal tincture. Royal Gorilla Airy buds, very odd smell to it too. Used all of this bud for practicing making tinctures/oils. Jock Horror This strain turned out to hermie so most of the buds had seeds in them a turn of events indeed for this one as the buds were looking pretty super. I had zero idea that they were growing seeds. Have mostly just given away this bud for people to do their own experiments on for butters and tinctures.
  12. I think you do. The purpose of this thread was to discuss pot politics in the SA cannabis industry but is now rather just a public display of your own personal politics within the SA cannabis scene. None of the people you mention are even here so what is this really? I've never heard of "Bad Rasta" who ironically kinda looks like your caricature quite coincidentally. I actually had to make sure Bob wasn't posting your picture because obviously you got the R1k for helping with his request for information. Why do I need to know the mental stability and personal living conditions of GRG? I don't know man, for someone claiming to stand up to bullying it looks kinda looks like you're bullying.
  13. Do you know the definition of insanity?
  14. I have been to The Green Side before. Very interesting concept. The main guy Myron is quite the character, also affiliated with Fresh and Healthy. I don't know if their model is the same now but when I went there about a year ago it was basically a grow club where members could be donated cannabis after a long introduction process into the club. Members can openly smoke in the yard, but I hope they have now fixed that up cause it was still pretty raw back then
  15. I've never done synthetic nutes and soil, or even considered it, but I suppose it should be similar to synthetics and coco although the coco should drain and dry faster than the soil. Thinking about it now, if you are using pots, you could maybe mix in some perlite with the soil then use the synthetic nutes. But if your tree were stuck in the ground, would you ever consider synthetic nutes?
  16. Even me bru. I'm gonna pop my whole packet of Tortoni's once I'm done with my current project in the grow tents Gold
  17. Update my side. Just took the plant outside. She's looking power so I've deemed her strong enough to brave the outdoors.
  18. I feel once I've isolated some mothers I'm totally going to mix up some strains. Levels
  19. Well probably not hey. I only do soil outdoors and when I do it's usually with Organics Matters Living Soil or the Freedom Farms Classic (Green Bag) with BioBizz nutrients.
