  1. Time for some bud shots! 50 days from flip. Some look a bit more ripe than others for sure. The Jock Horror and Royal Gorilla in my opinion are the least ripe and the Aurora Indica and Grand Daddy Purple are both the most ripe. Zkittlez x Purple Punch and Criminal + are sitting in the middle. I can barely find an amber trichome so I think I still have maybe between a week and two weeks to harvest. My harvest ETA has been around the 17th of Jan so they are about right on for where they are now. 2. I lived in Warsaw for 5 years between the ages of 4 and 9 Polish is still somewhere in the back of my mind but it has been a very long time since I've spoken it.
  3. Probably the tube running from the air pump to the air dome at the bottom of the pot.
  4. While I was visiting Cape Town about 5 years ago, I stopped at a robot and noticed on my left there were two dudes sitting at the same robot in a beat up VW Citi Golf ripping a fat foot long bong before pulling off at the green Definitely more casual here for sure! Yessir, one of my parents was born in Germany and I applied and received the ancestral passport. My sentiments. I have lived here in SA most of my life and I will do everything I can to make this a better place. Our political and social situation is highly unfortunate and almost feels like our politicians are deliberately trying to destroy this place. I will always want to travel back and forth to Germany but I haven't really decided whether I would full on live there permanently. Although when (or rather if) I ever had children I'd probably have them grow up in Germany for the purposes of education and professional opportunity, so I am also with you on that one. Very likely that I will take you up on this! Thank you for the offer.
  5. Wow! If our cops haven't discovered those strips in the last 15 years I hope they never do! I just renewed my German passport and had plans to go over more often but the times have been tough and plans have been set back a bit
  6. Damn son, how were they testing for cannabis on the road side 15 years ago? That sounds nuts. Do you know how strict they are these days?
  7. Every city in Germany I have been to, Northern and Southern, I have always caught a whiff of the good green somewhere or another. It appears pretty popular there and I came across a handful of hydro stores. I am familiar with the artificial THC, ie "Spice" which for some time (not sure now) was quite popular in the US before they legalised. Although they would just use rosemary or any herb really and just sprinkle a bit of spice over that and boom, profit. Crazy to think they now just spray this shit onto jutt. Wharrafuq. Even more of a reason to keep growing your own
  8. "Made in SA", more like assembled in SA. We don't make any of those chips locally so at the end of the day the most complex components are still imported. In any case, I'd rather go for the Samsung LM301 chips than the Bridgelux chips that Liontree uses.
  9. You'll never need to swap out your electrode. My PH80 is going two years now and still accurate as ever. I bought a spare thinking I'd need to replace the other one soon but it's still going strong. I use the spare just to double check every few months to make sure the original is still good.
  10. They have two versions of coco, the High Porosity and the normal Coco Substrate. I do believe the High Porosity has significantly less additional amendments than the Coco Substrate. I would say the High Porosity is closer to FF Classic than anything else.
  11. I am at a point where I don't use an EC meter often. If you are strictly using the GHE TriPart nutrients and follow the guide on the bottle strictly it will always be within the EC range as indicated in the guide. Although I will say that this confidence only came because I personally tested nutes for a long time with an EC meter and have used the same nutes for a while. Eish unfortunately not my hood Consider as @Leeroy420 says and get some bulk beans from @Biltong and Budz. When using bag seed you really do risk getting everything right and the bud still turning out jutt because pap genetics. At least with bought seeds you know what you should expect.
  12. Flushing before harvest is definitely a myth. Flushing should only be used as a tool to fix a major pH imbalance or bad nute regime. Here is the Science.
  13. @BigBud where you based? If you happen to be in the area I can hook you up with some clones to fast track you on the next one.
  14. I rate you're about right for those sized plants. In future when you start getting some decent sized plants you could go more without having any runoff. I use 50L total to water 12 x 20L pots with plants at least 80cm tall which is about 4L per pot in full flower. I water about every 3 days.
  15. Personally, I have seriously enjoyed coco and GHE for my indoor plants, and I like using organic soil with BioBizz for my mother plants and outdoor plants.
  16. Just Cannabis can be super sketchy, it's a hit/miss I find. It tends to be "too hot" for most plants, hence the claims that all you do is add water. Also, I feel that with soil/coco, adding only pH 6.5 water might not be the move. I like to add water that is more on the acidic side, as in about pH 5.8. Soil/coco can raise the pH much easier than it can drop it on it's own, I believe it is the calcium within the substrate which allows for this. Your plants may just be unable to have absorbed as much nitrogen as it needed due to the pH imbalance. I'd be willing to bet that if you changed your medium to say either Organics Matters Living Soil, Freedom Farms Classic or any good packaged coco like Atami High Porosity or Gold Label Coco and used the appropriate nutrients (BioBizz for organic soil / GHE for coco) you'll be surprised how much easier it is. Grows like this can throw people off and honestly I'd blame whoever sold you the soil that didn't give you the right advise.
  17. Four plants in 17L pots each would be shap. Or one massive plant in a 40L pot ..or two? In like.. 20L pots?
  18. Because it's this far into flower, I wonder whether increasing nutes and light strength would cause more stress than not. If the plant thinks it's near the end I'm not sure how much it would recover. I'd still go with @Prom's recommendation though.

  20. They have, currently are, and will continue to be in existence regardless of whatever the "law" has to say. Most clubs are underground, facilitate a small number of members and are often affiliated with a hydro store. THC and C3 are "public" club versions in the way that they openly invite members of the public to participate in the club, albeit in the guise of "privacy". THC knew they would get raided or have their operation halted at some point, but they got all the legal backing that it almost seems like a honey pot situation where they poked the SAPS bear to make a move so they could force a legal precedent from the courts and officially make cannabis clubs legal for everyone. I am sure there are some really passionate growers just waiting for the opportunity, and I think these public clubs need some more competition other than the well established black market, in terms of quality and affordability. I don't doubt THC will be successful in their pursuit, as I understand the SAPS raided with no warrant and destroyed private property, thinking that it was just another "dagga lab" for them to show off on Twitter as another "roaring success story". Unfortunately they fucked up this time. GG well played.
  21. Welcome @Dookie69, start up a young diary of what you got going
  22. They are an additional accessory to AutoPots that you use at the bottom of the AutoPot to inject oxygen directly at the roots using an air pump. It's a bit like DWC but with a solid medium (soil, coco). Best of both worlds I rate and results are pretty good, although the benefits are most notable once the roots are more mature.
  23. Hi @matthys, unfortunately entries are now closed. Nice picture though hopefully we will catch you on the next one.
  24. Further development! Took some general pics and some bud shots of some notable looking delights. I want to write more but I've really not been doing much special right now. Since cleaning up the lower canopy, work on the grow has been pretty min apart from watering every few days. I decided to do less trimming in general and keep more larger fan leaves (within reason) on the top half of the canopy as I have usually in the past been quite aggressive with it. I do feel shorter strains can benefit from more trimming during the grow, especially ones with very short internodal spacing. It worked out really well for me in the past especially when doing topping and mainlining. Although since trying the al natural 'no hard training' (minus the one supercrop of course) method and keeping the bottom half canopy clean I haven't felt I've needed to trim as much leaves as before.
