Back at it like a Crack Addict

Hello mense,

first I would like to mention, I am not really a crack addict, for those who aren't familiar with the saying.

Got things running about a month ago, popped a few seeds mid Jan. 100% germ rate.

Got a pack of Zkittly ZiZi - Bulk Seed Bank. Not expecting the best buds here, but I am expecting to learn quite a bit as I set my goals now to increase my yields and improve overall plant health from begin to end. Best to do that with one strain so I can clearly see changes if there are any.

Besides the main focus, I also popped a single Super Lemon OG by Emerald Triangle Seeds, just because I know I will get tired of only having one strain to pick from!

Got them vegging under the 360W(256TW) Blurple for now.

Glad to be back!

Yeah man it sure can take a whole two to three weeks longer, but no hurry here, taking things slow and steady paying good attention to the girls needs.

I had a perpetual thing going, that helped a lot with the time thing, you can just pop seeds and make clones when you want and  other space always flowering. Now I only have space for the one tent.

Did a 1.2g/w grow under a 250TW blurple in a 1mx1m space and I need to push those numbers!!! Built myself a 310W LED with samsung diodes HLG driver all that. No more games. Never really had problems with conditions and my IPM has always been in check, hopefully will be able to maintain that. Had a fuckup with AACT, gotta study a bit more and practice on other grows before implimenting that again. Just gona use ol' trusty biobizz and ff premium classic. Dechlorenated water. Rest will be spot checking, defoliating, LST and more spot checking.

end of week 4, day 27

during the week gave a top layer of worm casting and some DE. did a neem treatment as every week. did a phyta treatment. on the 1.1.2 of the biobizz Grow.Fish.Bloom now, following chart. coming week wil do inoculation, just by throwing some mycoroot on the top layer and work it in a bit with my hands, then water with Biodyne Environoc 401 that's been bubbling for 24hrs.

switched off the blurp for the photos

Bro choose fish or grow.... Not both. You are heading for N toxicity and lockout if you continue with both.

Bloom only gets used from week 3 of flower... Are you using it already?

The biobizz chart assumes a flip to 12/12 with first 2 weeks on chart equal first 2 weeks of preflower, and from week 3 on chart is day 14 of flower

If these are photoperiod plants, then you stick to the week 2 part of the schedule throughout veg, but choose one of the veg nutes not both.

Then from the start of your 3rd week of flower.. Day 14, then you start with bloom..

The chart also doesn't stop with the veg nutes, while I personally drop them from the start of the 6th or 7th week

Like Totemic said, use one or the other, Fish Mix OR Grow. I only use Grow when flower starts, see no reason for the additional molasses during Veg.

That table is for Autos or a bit hara-kiri Photo growing.. they swap 12/12 to early to my liking ^^ You start with Bloom when your plants go flower, not before. To early Bloom isn't actually good for them, you feed to much they don't need and still will try to store. Stick to Fish Mix during Veg and swap Fish and Grow during flower.. I stick for the last 3 weeks to Grow only as I prefer the added molasses.

I do not use feeding tables for Photos, I decide to add more depending on size and stage of the plant. Autos are a bit easier in that direction.. you can just follow a matching feeding table.

man, I thought I was sticking to the basics. good thing I mentioned my schedule, well basically just that I am sticking to "the schedule"

Thanks a ton my dudes!

if I can save nutes, money and time I am already intrigued!!!

might just do a comparison grow, since I got 3 of the same plants.

I just wana quickly throw in my 2c aswell, if I may. To clear it up, I am growing alongside a dude with a masters in horticulture. Looking at his plants I follow his advice religiously.

Both you guys had bad results with bloom nute during veg? this would actually suprise me, but I am intetested.

that's 1 of 3 of the same genetics, different seeds so slight pheno changes, but just goes to show how the same stuff have different effects depending on interaction with other compounds. otherwise if I gave them all the same they would look the same, right? I actually don't know, because here I am proving myself wrong.

growing plants is the last thing on earth we should "do by the book", cause of this fact

Yeah, when growing from seed it is always a lucky packet.

Could be one perhaps did not develop as quickly as others and cannot handle the extra nutes.

These are things you pick up on overtime and adjust accordingly, use the charts to start with and once you have a better grasp, can start to adjust the ml/L quantity according to the size of the plants and so forth.

I am using biobizz Grow.Fish.Bloom. at 1.1.2 / L so nothing is at 4ml/l yet. but might be too much N as I been giving both grow and fish nutes instead of just one like totemic said.

Fishmix or Grow... not at the same time both! Swap each feeding. Once Fish, next Grow..

yeah this might also be the case, as we can see that not all of the plants have claws. just the one.

gona give them one round of clean water, then jump over to Grow one week and Fish the other and alternate between the two.

hahah thanks again man, I have already switched up, the 1.1.2/L I was talking about was what caused the claws, this is what Psy wanted to know. I am not giving 1.1.2/L anymore.

update -

First I would like to give a big thanks to @Totemic @Prom @PsyCLown

I would have done some damage if you guys didn't tell me to cut back on the nutes so soon!

It seems that I have ran into either toxicity or deficiency, here is a photo of the very lady that started clawing, because I gave too much I am leaning towards it being excess of something, what do you guys think?20210312_062822.thumb.jpg.bf8ec7e0752eafd848005d77b186b280.jpg20210312_062831.thumb.jpg.b7a41a77f78d3f20aa2952c06c5d72e9.jpg

It looks like only new growth comoing out light green, so this means it's an immobile nutrient? overall growth is also stunted. was thinking either Phosphorus or Potassium, but those are both mobile nutes.

what is the chance of this being a deficiency?

I would say they had toxicity, nitrogen, and then it got lockout, from that, and now your plant seems to be recovering well, but would need nitrogen soon again, small amounts though.

Let me read the thread fully and come back to you again if there are changes.

The BioBizz I use at half that chart recommended values

Also the claw looking more like over watering on last pictures, but you can see there is definitely burn on the tips of the leaves on the first issue pictures.

Added: are you in flower or not, doesn't look like it, but see you giving bloom.

phew

Ok, for now I will just be letting the pots dry, once dry I'll drop 0.5ml/L Grow only.

think I'm just gona check runoff ppm and ph juuuust in case. will check values of solution going in aswell so I can see what the soil has to say

Just to check in with the big boys, Biobizz recommends not to adjust ph when growing in living soil and using their product range for living soils, but as we all now know they recommend all sorts of crazy shit like their nute chart, so can't say I am too comfortable taking their recommendations anymore. what do you guys do?

not much to update, but thought I'd show the girls

very happy to see the 2 that started stressing is getting their colour back and looking better every day. few burnt tips here and there. definitly too much N for all of the girls.

I'll give them numbers as in order of apeal, they all got all the same nutes and only two reacted so strong, so might just be weaker genetics.

just a quick update.

topped with some mycoroot and and DE (just in case), gave clean rain water at 1.5 of the amount of feed I will mix, so had a little run off, took it out the drip trays. waited till it was very dry..

gave 0.5ml/L Grow, 1L each plant and sprayed with neem, same night, two days later did a defoliation

took the photo last night

will repot soon into 30L

what's up good people,

since they got flushed and looked much better, I went ahead and gave 0.25/L of Biobizz grow, like @StickyD420 and @Totemic suggested.

opened up the tent this morning to see this...20210323_072416.thumb.jpg.86b187b07b08b108e34d92ee19a5c65d.jpg20210323_072503.thumb.jpg.7850fbbb097d11eea5092656bd6f3d26.jpg20210323_072523.thumb.jpg.4e79d2f779749cd5cf27e6b3dcff47e1.jpg20210323_072531.thumb.jpg.a1f968a2aaa744a82b4243579a4a2d52.jpg20210323_072537.thumb.jpg.8ba4e3cff041ebe581fc56021481d9ac.jpg20210323_072616.thumb.jpg.cb4ac50c088674fd8c93073fbaa356e3.jpg

I was thinking of flushing with 6.0 ph and 0.0 ppm, get some runoff and test the ph and ppm of that.

I am aiming for 5.9ph and 0.1 to 0.2 ppm, is this correct?

Joh, I don't know man...

I don't pH my feeds... Could that not be an issue? I've never had that reaction from biobizz...

That's 15 different strains in the image below. All of them are on the same feeding schedule and only get 1ml/l grow with every watering(every 3rd day). They'll start getting bloom from next week only once they are on day 15 of 12/12.

Neem can be a real bitch from what i've experienced. That doesn't look like nute burn to me. More of a nitrogen deficiency or neem burn. Spray the plants with water to remove possible neem residue. Flush with water. Don't add anything but Biobizz Fishmix at 2ml/l and you should be golden! Sterkte

Hey brother,

Your new growth is beautiful, and shows me the medium is right and the plant is happy now.

Your leaves on that plant on the end had already been damaged from the lockout, and now that little bit of nitrogen that was there, is moving to where it's more needed. That part of the leaves was never going to be happy again anyway.

Only if you sprayed Neem, at lights on and or middle of the day when hot, would that effect the leaves, and from the other plants, they seem okay so that is ruled out, or they would all have that damage now.

Possibly Zinc, but not just one plant out them all again.

Here is a picture to guide you a little, if it's not clear, you can google it, but will help with deficiency symptoms and or overdose symptoms.

Please feel free to ask for a advice and a second opinion before making a call, that is what we are here for.
