Step in the right direction but not too happy. You'll survive don't worry, when you start pulling more than 1.2 kg per harvest then you can be unhappy. 2

Ya be happy about the Government controlling a plant that they didn't give 2 hoots about a few years ago but now they want to tell you how and when about it. Let's arrest and ostracize people for years for using the plant and then just switch it up control it when profitability becomes viable
oros da boss
@CoolJ the arb numbers are pointless, I agree with that, but this is a Minister's ego at stake. They feel the need to still show power and retain their authority, in some manner. How is it ever going to be enforced, if it gets passed through and approved? Be nice to your neighbours, don't make enemies and nobody is going to make kak, for you. Drug driving laws also introduced. "Driving or occupying driver's seat while under the influence of intoxicating liquor[ or], a drug having narcotic effect or THC, or with excessive amount of alcohol or THC or a drugs having a narcotic effect in blood or breath"; And some form of blood testing? I read about 100 nano gram THC and didn't bother to read the rest.
Onion
What a bad time for this to happen. It is a terrible Bill that criminalizes some things heavily. This is going to be a long and costly legal battle that will likely happen in front of a judge. They really snuck this through now! Very unhappy about this.

It is most certainly one of the most progressive personal cannabis laws right now if passed as is, I'd even say better than Spain's. 35 minutes ago, Onion said: This is going to be a long and costly legal battle that will likely happen in front of a judge. No that's not how this works. It was passed by cabinet, now it gets debated in parliament, then posted in the gazette, then public opinion, further debate, then the Pres. assents the Bill [very rudimentary explanation]. Unless you mean after it's passed and you break the law and go to court, then sure you'll be in front of a judge and it may be lengthy and costly depending on the case.. just like if you break any other law. 35 minutes ago, Onion said: They really snuck this through now! We've known about this for the last two years and the possession and household amounts were leaked in the beginning of the year. If you feel like you understand the draft Bill enough, understand a little bit about legal interpretation, then you're welcome to comment to parliament once they open that opportunity. I'm sure we will be staying up-to-date on that.

You can't have it both ways the government will try to make money from it, exactly how every American state/Canada has done.

I know how long the plant has been illegal and why they made it illegal. This bill is almost exactly as the Canadian bill, but we not them! We need Fields of Greens for All! This is the start of how they control the market and all the small guys who have been fighting forever and struggling are going to be forgotten about. I think what you are on about, as well as described in the manifesto, is more to do with the small scale "Kasinomics" farmers and the traditional industry. The current Bill deals specifically within the context of private cultivation and consumption where the sale of cannabis is illegal. If anything I think this current Bill fits exactly the narrative that Fields of Green for All are pushing as their desired outcome with regards to personal cultivation. You need to save your energy for when the commercial legalisation is passed in cabinet. That's where your fight will be.

This bill is the building blocks for commercial legalisation. But I will keep up the fight and use my voice for all, even the fence sitters
TheUltimateNoob
I'm going to reserve comment.Taking it as the bill affects something you were doing. Sorry man. The implication for a bigger grow I guess would be you having to cull some plants. But if it isn't that, the only thing I could see you getting involved for was suspicion of intent to do some stuff... Apologies if I'm wrong... But if that's the case you need a good story, not a defensive one. It was a risk either way if whatever you were doing still managed to get you into a fix even though cultivation and use was legalised. ORGANinc.
@Ill_Evan Howzit bro! You seem to be quite clued up on the topic. I was wondering if you may know what would be the legalities around the Clubs supply system. Or have a good idea on the direction. Would there need to be GMP, and ISO regulations that need be abided by? Or these contracted clients who are paying for services rendered would not have to be so stringent? There has to be some sort of quality controls. And licensing, tax registering? Maybe it will be something that becomes more clear when commercial laws are revealed. But If you say it’s may be better than the Laws in Spain, Then there must be good provision for small scale farmers/club suppliers. Which is amazing!

You can donate up to 100g at a time to another adult according to this Bill. Also remember, that a "Private Dagga Club" is meant to be a non-profit organisation, so any funds accrued by the club needs to go straight back into the club for maybe like events, electricity or paying the gardener to look after the plants for the club. You don't need to worry about GMP or ISO because this is a private club and the product isn't available for public consumption. The consumer isn't paying for the product. The consumer is paying the club for access to the premises where the cannabis is then donated. I would also suggest to said club to do as much outreach as possible and also educate your members on all things cannabis. It's a good look, especially as we try to establish our legal cannabis community.
