  1. Hi folks. So a buddy of mine told me that they are running a very cool special at Clicks for Mini Desk fans which work very well for circulation in a tent. These bad boys normally go for R229 but with this sale I was able to pick them up for R159 which is a steal. I bought 5 you can never have enough.. I confirmed with the manager that this special is running till the 20th nationwide while stocks last... so get to your nearest Clicks if a small fan was on your to do list. Happy Growing!!
  2. Hi folks. End of week 3 and I am already seeing some top heavy buds. All the plants are coming along really well and the stretch added roughly between 20cm to 35cm. I have pulled back on the seagro feeding and I am focusing now on Biobloom and Molasses. Hoping the bloom has enough N to carry them through the last 6 to 7 weeks. I am also starting to see sprinkles of tricome on the buds especially so on the Purple Queen. The next couple of weeks will be exceptionally fun Glookies Upper Cut Chocolate Haze Purple Queen Special Clone Side view tent Top view tent
  3. I had the same on my indoor plants, failed extraction fan required an open door during the day so they sneaked in.. I did a removal/squash and from the smell it became quite evident that it was part of the stink bug family.
  4. Excited to see this grow. And totally in agreement. Epic gesture by @PsyCLown to show the true roots of community. We live to share
  5. Ooooh you just got to love flowering cannabis. It's just so cool to see the progression from growth tips to mini budlets. I finished the second week of flower and I am quite happy with the progress. Really excited to see the end yield. Hopefully 300g dry trim weight on the low end. Happy new year to all fellow growers. May the year yield good results Glookies Uppercut Chocolate Haze Purple Queen "Special" clone Full tent
  6. @Golden-Goose hey bro. I love learning more about special genetics and who the OG breeders out there are. And from what I've read it seems like Oldman Green is next level. His preservation of some insane old genetics is super respectable and an art in my opinion. From what I've read he also has some other mad shit in the vault like UK Exodus Cheese '87, Buddha's sister (Soma), Peach Slush 90's and Super Silver Haze '98... all those epic pre 2000 strains some of which were lost to time.... His colab with Karma opens up the crazy spectrum and allows him to work with strains like Road Dawg. It sounds like he is also has some working arrangement with US breeders which gives him access to some fire US genetics, match made is heaven. Will definitely do an Old School Genetics run in the future. Cheers
  7. First week into flower and the stretch is real Most of the bud sites are starting to form and I am happy with the light penetration on the canopy. I am very excited as this is the most packed tent I have had to date. I am also running some clones in the middle to utilise space and to add something something to the end yield. Might be a good indication of a possible SOG with clones for a future run. There's not a lot of training or defoliation left for me to do. Most branches have started to set so now it's all about keeping the environmental controls in line and to ensure sufficient nutrient balance.
  8. @Wulf that's a good question man. I had a chat about it with a friend just a couple of days ago on the range. Firstly I am not legally qualified to give advice but our take on it was that if you were to use a sec 15 or 16 licenced weapon to defend yourself and the actual action of using the firearm falls within the ambit of the law. I.e all the legal requirements for self defence. One can argue that the action was warranted irrespective of the licencing status of the weapon used to protect yourself. So your competency status to use that weapon within the confines of common law and the firearms control act should be able to provide legal basis for the use of that weapon to protect yourself. Again this was just our opinion. Cheers
  9. @Prom hi bud. Sure there are legal ways to carry a sidearm in South Africa. You can have a look at a Section 13 licence which is for self defence and valid for 5 years. (Only shotgun and handgun allowed under Sec 13) Otherwise you can get a sec 15 which is an occasional sport shooting/hunting licence or a sec 16 which is a dedicated sport shooting/hunting licence. These licences are valid for 10 years and also includes semi automatic rifles over and above handguns and shotguns. In order to obtain any of these licences you first have to complete a competency process and examination in order to obtain a competency certification. After you receice this certificatiom from an accredited institution you still have to apply for a SAPS competency card. This will allow you to apply for the actual licence to possess a firearm. You will also need to first purchase the firearm before being able to process a firearm licence as the serial number and description of the weapon is needed to finalise the licence application. There are lots of people out there that will be able to assist with such a process. Institutions like GOSA and PHASA. I have to advise that the process is quite cumbersome and for a competency and firearm licence from SAPS can take up to a year.. I hope the information helps. 10. Hi folks. So the last couple of weeks the plants enjoyed a nice little last vegetative growth spurt and showed some nice leaf colour. Hopefully the nutrient balance is now on par... I topped up the pots with a layer of fresh soil and cleaned the bottom 3rd of most of the stems to try and focus all the energy on the top bud sites. I flipped to the 12/12 light cycle yesterday so hopefully between 65 to 75 odd days I will have a healthy heavy harvest Full tent
  11. Just a quick update on the progress the ladies are making. I did a second round flush to try and get the soil as free from excess nutrient build up as possible. I thought this might make the feeding schedule going into flower a little bit easier to ensure no lockout and less build up in the soil. I also cleaned up the ladies to try and focus growth on the primary bud sites I want to develop. Will probably flip in 3 to 4 weeks Chocolate Haze Purple Queen Old school Upper Cut Glookies Supercropped clone 20201207_192346.jpg
  12. True that brother. I must admit that the trailer on YouTube looks insane and in depth with nice game play visuals. If it can deliver in any way like Half Life 2 did with all the hype that backed it back then I would be super happy. It's been a while since a game hooked me.. hoping this one might do it.
  13. So I struggled a bit with hot soil over the last couple of weeks It's so shit... going through your first grow and learning through mistakes. Then enter into the second and its a whole new list of issues that you face. But that is the joy of growing cannabis. Had a friend guide me on the best solution... flush the shit outta those pots. So the 2 ladies that struggled the most were the Old school and Chocolate Haze. They were flushed 7 days ago and the results were amazing. So I decided to flush 3 more pots yesterday as the ladies were also moaning about the soil... So it will only be 3 ladies with the 8 cola mainline. 2 ladies with an improvised flux mainline. And 1 lady with some heavy supercropping.. really excited about the supercrop bush!! I will still probably veg for about 3 to 4 weeks to get the nutrient levels nice and balanced before flower. Two Improvised flux mainline ladies: Old school before flush: 14/11 Old school after flush: 1/12 Chocolate Haze before flush: 14/11 Chocolate Haze after flush: 1/12 Three 8 cola mainline ladies: Glookies: 1/12 Purple Queen: 1/12 (Needs some N after the flush yesterday) Upper cut: 1/12 Supercrop clone:
  14. @BluntKnife @Ill_Evan morning gents. Nice thread going here. Have you guys checked the new Cyberpunk 2077??freaking insane open-world first person shooter game.. Looks unreal
  15. Haven't done the 3rd topping as yet but just had to share this good news from bad news. So firstly I lost the Wedding Gelato mother.. but she gave back with 3 little baby cuttings that all took root. Secondly, as I was doing the 1st top mainline training on the Chocolate Haze I took one of the mains too far and it got a small little split in the stem. Taking for the knowledge of fellow forum members and se YouTube videos I wrapped the damaged stem with insolation tape to try and limit stunting. As I was watering the clones today I saw a huge bulge forming under the tape. I took of the tape and to my surprise had a huge knuckle that formed. So from my mistake, remedied with a quick fix, I was able to do my first supercrop while still aiming to mainline that stem. Should be super interesting to compare the supercrop side growth against the normal stem. Clones also moved in to the big lady tent. Full tent Supercropped Chocolate Haze
  16. Thanx brother man. Some issues this grow though Good old plastic shop around the corner. Super cheap and very functional as it allows for light streams of water thereby not displacing too much soil and limit overwatering.
  17. Sooo. Some ladies like the mainline and some don't. Atleast 3 ladies are jamming the high stress topping and stripping of the stalks. 3rd and final top on the 3 will be done in a week or so. So for the other lovelies I will just LST to get as much exposure to the nodes as possible . Great thing is all the clone cuttings rooted and were transplanted to 15cm pots. 18. Mitch McConnell style. Sad day for the industry and this is happening in progressive countries?
  19. First clone run turned out to work quite well with some nice roots showing. Upper cut is a champ with all 3 cuttings already showing extensive root structure. Glookies not far behind. The blessing in disguise is that I have a Wedding Gelato clone that rooted. So even though I lost the mother the lineage survives very lucky indeed. Upper cut Wedding Gelato Ready for the big life
  20. 100% man. Less is more in this case, will still veg out decently after the next and final top but the clean up will be thorough. Had a mate that lost half of his 1×1m tent due to PM. So preventative measures are key.
  21. 2nd topping done on most of the ladies. Again... the tent looks empty but all for the greater good. Overflowing with cuttings at the moment so had to make due with some DIY humidity domes Still haven't started with veg nutes as it would seem most of the bags of soil I bought was damn hot..... as you can see on the tips of the Upper Cut lady.. so only jiving with PH balanced water and some calmag. Glookies Upper cut Overflow clone stack Empty tent
  22. Hi brother. What an exceptional list of strains you are running. You are probably close to flower. How's about an update on all those ladies please?
