Well... Guys and girls, this is what it looks like when you neglect your plants for a while 🤦‍♂️ and believe me, I tried to make them look as pretty as I possibly can before the photo was taken.

    20220919_063827.thumb.jpg.94ec0907d88e5626bb217aa160607b73.jpg

obviously one plant in the corner, Pineapple Chunk, still stressing hard. Flushed her, somehow her soil EC was sitting at 7.0, but she never showed stress with transplant, but now that she's "bigger" she's stressing about too much nutes.... What you guys think? Lockout? Root damage?

3 Super Cheese plants all got stripped of old dying leaves of which there where plenty, main branches selected, nodes stripped. Scrog net pulled down to open them up for shorter branches to come through.

first time for me using mulch. sometimes it helps to see your situation from further away, cause had it not been for my negligence I would probably not have noticed how dead my "living soil" was...

made some AACT with rainwater, wormcastings as a base, molasses, alfalfa for loads of enzymes and trace minerals, SST juice for more enzymes and trace minerals, the pulp was mixed into top layer of soil for even more enzymes and trace minerals and encouraging bacterial and fungal growth and since I added a buffet of food for fungi, just as a cherry on top of the cake, some more fungi, a heap of biocult.

diluted it down 50/50 with more rain water. gave each plant like 500ml and then topdressed with hay.

getting into watering less at a time, but more frequently, as my topsoil was dying while the bottom of the pot was still wet. can't have that.

Also looking into the whole KNF thing? Who's into this stuff? I tried making LABs once, stunk up the whole house.... 😅

    anway, back to normal

    :-rasta

Whats up man, Yea that's my problem with flushing a living soil, when you put more than 10% of water in a living soil, the soil is now waterlogged and everything takes much longer to happen. So if you flushing in terms of a strategical move to lower the EC, that's fine. But unless the leaves are crisping up and the plant is visibly super unhappy, I would then only water 10% per time and then you should be getting some run off and also lowering the EC. But also waiting forever for the next watering, which is essential, you could find yourself digging a bottomless pit going this route. Try be very careful not to over water the specific plant. My biggest mistake is treating all the plants the same.

That's lots of love you have given you plants, everything they will need for a long while I'm sure. If that plant is now super heavy after the flush and you wanting it to dry out a bit faster. My advise is to possibly remove the mulch from her for now.

But With all that Ecosystem boosting you've do0ne, you can certainly expect some super happy plants in the coming, cool man all the best!

  2. 3 days in flower now for the Dark Phoenix, the other Chems are doing well, before and after Defol. Should be ready by the end of next week I recon AFDADF4A-D35A-4695-A857-B09703A6CF7E.thumb.jpeg.54451c7d319d876341a4cdf701983244.jpeg432044A9-A26C-4C4C-843A-2F8B38D58DDD.thumb.jpeg.97b9f2b9622fc3874522a5ebc1f1a186.jpegBD2CAB1F-55D4-4344-BA07-5449DC5D4FE9.thumb.jpeg.e0a9473929d8d63b6d2452cf22169510.jpegand the loadshedding light is up and running

  3. I suggest while you wait to plant some cover crops, to get some roots in the soil. The only way to get the best diversity of microorganisms in the soil that will best support your main plants is to grow cover crops, all different types to encourage a nice diversity, and also to keep the soil covered.

the sun hitting the soil pushes the microorganisms down about 3-4 inches, making your soil ageing less productive.

Then you can work that nitrogen back into the soil and you’ll have a great source of easily digestible nitrogen, without interfering with the roots that have developed, chop and drop, will create real good aggregation too.

  4. Howzit bud! Welcome back. I think that’s a great idea, I always wanted to experiment with HID during winter, makes a lot of sense to me.

that environment in my mind will be very happy, if you got lights on at night type of vibe, then I don’t know how a 600w hid will manage in a 60 x 60, maybe 80 or best 1m2

keen to see the grow, 🙏🏼👍🏻

It's never off the cards bud but will have to make a call around January next year if we look at getting the indoor growoff going in the autumn. Unfortunately our good friend Totemic will not be able to front seeds for it as he closed shop but there are 1 or two other options we could look at in terms of a genetics sponsor. Unless of course @Totemic dusts off the pollen and gets a batch of beans ready for us come the time.

Please do bring this up in January again though and we'll see how things stand then. Sorry I couldn't put forward anything more promising right now 😬

No problems man! Appreciate all the hard work 👊🏻🔥 will remember to ring this thread up come Jan

18 plants, in the same size tent. Got out about the same grams total, 30 to 40g a plant.

Sent juvenile plants to flower, and no cleaning or training of the plants.

    I only use Explogrow now,

I'd say not bad, but watch my next grow💨

Ok I see, yeah that’s the usual number with plants without additional nutrients being added.

I’ve also been using Explogrow, but not regularly, I’ll do it like ever 3/4 weeks, before flower and transplants etc. Don’t know if it does anything, but I do want to start brewing my own microbe teas again, well more like a compost extracts, seen the best results from those.

yeah your plants definitely look bigger going into flower, at the end of the day, you cant expect big yields from small plants I guess.

    all the best man 👍🏻

  8. Awe garden community and @420SA

What's the chances of doing another competition? Sure it was much painstaking work and tediously annoying organization. Not to mention getting all the willing sponsors involved etc.etc.

So understandable if not, but you gotta ask and see... 😄 The forum was jumping with the last one. :-puffin

    My man👌

Similar numbers, I just had 18 plants, otherwise as close.

You have similar numbers from 18 plants? or a similar number from 8 of those 18 plants?

Asking because I remember you said you just inoculate with enviroc microbes, what do you average per plant?

No argument, there’s probably a ton on all the food we eat anyway, but obviously cause for concern. I think is good to follow directions to a T there.

I used pyrol full dose for aphids, being careful in flower not to spray buds however never had aphids problem during flower. Maybe it was some type of mite

Maybe not full, but close to 😂

I've disassembled every one I've owned at least once during their individual lifetime in attempts to extend their use. I also find that the motor builds up a lot of fine particles along the drive shaft between the motor and the blades, which increases friction on the motor and eventually wearing it out. I had the wire issue once with a fan, and sorted that out with some new wire and some soldering.

I then ended up buying into RAM fans and I have found they work as long as you don't use the oscillation function at all...or so I thought! One of them died after maybe 3 months of just stationary work. Luckily all the RAM products come with I think 6 month warranties so I'll just keep getting them replaced until one lasts longer than the warranty 😝

I've gone through so many of those clip fans 🙈

So they always break, and that's just how they made, don't think you can get them to last, but the people selling them at futurama say you suppose to have them running half the time, because it will wear them out faster if you keep them running the whole time, So I'm waiting for the last 2 I have to give in and them im going back to hanging desk fans.

@SkunkPharm says the wire wears itself out because of A the zip tie keeping the cable in place is basically strangulating the cable while oscellating and the cable is almost threaded through the neck of the grip thing and down, if you can unthread it and have it come out of the housing, it will take a lot of stress of the wiring. Maybe give that a go.
