I agree it is a heavy feeder. And the nutrients needs to be available at the right time. She may do better in freedom farms with the biobizz range of nutrients.

Ya any bottled nutrients and a fresh bag of soil. Not my type of genetics

The Chems are a super fussy plants and in my limited experience with them take long to finish. Mine has been going for 11 weeks now and I cannot see a Amber trichome.

The only way I can see this type of plant performing well in my grow style is if I ran it a couple of times to get used to the soil.

The plant needs a lot of available nutrients at the moment, which my system just cant supply.

  3. Update time, dark Phoenix are doing good, Chems are also doing much better, the bugs have seemed to slowed their attack.

not interested in the Chems going forward though. Maybe they will be a nice smoke, and some outside pics.

    High all

Here's the details to enter your flower.
I'd had a few request for a hash/concentrated category, but won't be considering it... yet.

High Cape Town Cannabis Cup applicant

Thank you for your interest in entering South Africa’s dankest Cannabis Cup. Here you will find top
shelf growers contesting their best flowers against each other by trial of faya. Voting is entirely
democratic with over a hundred local and international guests judging your flower.

The event is taking place on the Saturday the 25th of March 2023 from 2PM until 10PM. Please look
at this blog to get an idea of the 2022 cup and how we roll. It has some dope videos too.
    https://thehighco.co.za/cape-town-continental-cannabis-cup-winners/
    Please send me:

    • The name of the cultivar/s
    • Three good quality pictures
    • Brand or Tag that you are entering as
    • Website or social that you would like us to link
    • Any information that you would like to share about how the cultivar was grown
    • You may keep your entry totally anonymous, but I will still need the above info.

We are limiting this year’s entrants to a reasonable amount that can be judged in one day. Should
your cultivar be selected, we will need a minimum of 50g by 15 March 2023. With at least one epic
bud, that will be used for the judging pictures and full professional analysis. The 50g will then be
freshly nugged up and anonymously pre-packed for the judges to sample on the day. Each judge gets
    one vote.

    • There won’t be any categories. The best flowers win.
    • You will receive one Judges Pass and a limited-edition Cape Town Cannabis Cup cap.
    • Trophies are for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. With a 4th trophy for most potent.
    • First prize is a custom Mothership Glass herb piece.
    • There will be additional prizes announced as we get closer to the date.

We are looking forward to another dope event for all our entrants, judges and sponsors.
Please let me know if you have any queries.

    Kind regards
    William Wallace

    What's up man!

OK, I just got one question. I don't have any pictures of the buds I'm possibly keen on choosing for the comp just yet as I've just got 8 clones vegging and I'm looking at planting another 10 seeds or so. This is so that I may have enough strains to choose from and then decide which I want to enter.

This is all going to happen quite close to the entry close off dates, Can I give you a possible list of strains I might enter? And then choose 1 closer to the time? Also with no pictures?

I now have 3 new seedlings!. 2@3days old and 1@2days. I made sure the Coco was nice and moist when I planted them and haven't watered since!. The cups are light ish but the coir is still moist.

I am now entering my twilight zone!. This is when I seem to fk up😫!. Scared shirtless of when to water next?. I've used clean 7 ph water up to this point. When you say 'super dry' would that be also for my new girls,....... ?.

When do think I should water them and with what? ie; just plain 7 ph for now or + diluted nutes @ 6.3ph?.

I'm sorry for the questions but do need some guidance regarding feeding frequency of seedlings. I've drowned so many now already...... it's sad!.

    Have a lekker weekend.IMG_20221021_164650.thumb.jpg.5d17426e440cd450f908649a7d271fcc.jpg

The cups still look ok the moist side, I would leave them for another 2/3 days, try remove some soil from that overflowing cup, that will make problems, they should be At the level of the first cup in the pic 👍🏻

  7. Onto week 4/6 respectively,

Dp’s are shinning here, keeping both phenos and running em again.

Chems are going in the trash, my first thought and I’m sticking to, is that they don’t like soil, which is not the end of the world, but is a great recipe for attracting pest, namely thrips which I’m sure about now.

let’s see if we can get them to the end some how

  8. Yes you can start feeding them, I wouldnt add any calmag just yet, but some veg nutes. and only when the cup is super dry. do a 1/4 dose, really they don't need more.

and once youve made 1/4 strength nutes water 5% of the cups volume with it.

  9. So here we are on week 3 and 5. The plants are doing a lot better since the Defol last week, they will probably get trimmed again this weekend.

The Chem definitely has a pungent gas, piney type smell. And it stick to you, stem rub will stick around for the next couple of hours even after a hand wash.

The Dark Phoenix is much on the sweeter side, with faint Floral and citus notes, but the leaf structure is quite indica ish, not the branching. So it looks pretty cool. Got her to stack decently which I’m also happy about. Also she has a couple of orange pistols, so let’s see how she progresses

Smaller tent is approaching harvest time. I'll push it to the last week of this month at least. I am really liking the stacking on this round of the ZxP. I feel I've got a good idea of how many branches to keep for optimal growth.

Oh yea, that space is filling up nicely! I hear ya about keeping up on the defol! Hopefully it will stay around 30c max!?
..Perhaps the powerful fans will help. 🙂

Thanks for noticing 😆😂… a little time and a little love, things happen.

I kinda had to figure out the best way to approach it having very different types of plants in the same space but I’m happy so far.

yep all fans on full speed ahead, if you can hear something resembling jet turbines in the area, no need to be alarmed, I’m just growing some weed 😆
