  1. These girls are really not happy with all the load shedding going on, spraying IPM about every other day now and added another extraction fan.

The colour is coming back though, looking back, I think the soil would have been better suited to be re-amended before the round instead of thinking it could just be used again no problems, however the plants did get a better start in it being less nutrient rich, I co0uld have been a bit cognizant of doing regular top-dresses , so again, things I can improve on.

But other than that, the buds and the frost are coming out to play.

Slurrixwilson pushing the most triches, she is a stubby short and stacked lady that smells much like caramel.

Crepes by lit farms is starting to get there, she stacked beautifully, sites everywhere, excited to see how she progressesIMG_8213.thumb.jpg.4f95371bfa45226b96bd20220f4dfa71.jpg

GG#4 Still in the game, just like all the others, she got a solid topdress and feed, so hoping to see some solid nuggetsIMG_8208.thumb.jpg.20c1df2bc7a0abecacc1c639b137f519.jpg

Then the Wilsonxlotushead, very strong plant not my favourite smoke, must be super high Thc levels. gives me palpitations. IMG_8211.thumb.jpg.9d7f441a96c3847829b97a0de9a8c100.jpg

    Then the group PICIMG_8207.thumb.jpg.6f23f361883a005c2761b11402a38962.jpg

Have a lekke start to the weekend YO!

Seeing stuff like that always makes me want to google the genetics and see what these buds look like. and 9 times out of 10, I say to myself, it looks like weed, maybe more frosty, maybe cool ass colours, and for that price tag it will also get you high.

Weed is always looking cooler and cooler as the days go by, but its always strikes you when you see it on a screen and not upfront and personal. Everything is looking better than it is, and therefore selling for higher than it should.

Its a modern day trick photography marketing scheme, I remember people trying to justify this shit lol. Ya, ya ya... People will only get taken advantage of for soooo long. In the meanwhile, there's money to be made 🤪 @Totemic We gotta relook at the pricing.

Had him on Telegram, busy in real life and wasn't online a lot as he said, they changed the security of the internet at work and he can't reach the weed sites anymore.

    Why the boss's these days don't like weed I don't know.  🙄

Lol. Ok maybe your need more. They say minimum 480w per m/2, which I found to be quite a lot(but who am I., dont hit heavy numbers). However, i'm not actively feeding my plants.

    Food for thought.

Thanks man will do that then. I'm worried I'm low on light for the full length of the space but I guess we will see!

let’s hope nothing bad happens, pm falling from the skies. Need to get something to run the fan during this time.

They also got the second top dress, except gg#4 she got the first one, much happy since then, also did microbes, trace minerals, aminos and enzymes .

    lekke Sunday ahead!

  7. Next on the cards, Chem dog - green house seed Co, and Dark Phoenix - green house seed Co.
Been using the seedling mix from ff, and I highly recommend it.

Will start feeding these girls on the second watering, just a trace element feed.

Will probably keep only 2 of the chemDs as I’ll be running 4 plants in a 1,2 space.

see you back in 6 weeks for veg

will keep adding info as I go, these girls will go in 40l final pots, thinking about going back to the automated watering system on a pump and drip timer story.

so if I decide to slap all my soil together, there’s much variation, but I just go according the plant size before and thumb suck what should go back. Had many small plants rounds before, and I’ve written down all my re-amends, so I know what has gone in. So looking at not reamending that half, other half with plants in them for the second round now are running very thin, plant colour giving this away, so they defos getting much. 4 plants in the 1,2x,6 in soil from that soil recipe I make in organic threads, second run now, only 1 top dress so far, but plants are about to cry

@ORGANinc. thanks chief. I've got some Biobizz Acti Vera for the enzymes, some Root Juice for the humic and fulvic acids, and I believe Biobizz Grow is from beet extract which is essentially molasses.

Nice man! Yeah I would hold back on the grow for now. But other stuff should help a lot, not sure if the grow is a bit too dense for the situation. All the best champ!

  9. Dude this is unfortunate. I’m sure first prize would be to save the plants or salvage what can be salvaged.

The medium is most probably become more and more alkaline, and the organic matter is not there to stabilise the ph. I noticed something after I did that experiment, the soil that was fed salts had the worst rotten eggs type of smell I’ve ever encountered, and I realised that is was basically a product of the salts breeding pathogens within the soil.

I think the best thing you can do was to flush the hell out of the media, and then going forward, with a low om content, I would suggest inoculating with microbes on following waterings also add molasses and humic + fulvic, will assist with the lockout.

maybe topdress some castings, about 2 cups each plant, run the auto pots with plain water ph’d to lowest levels.

I would not risk feeding any other salts, maybe add some bio bizz blooms from middle towards the end.

You want to build the organic matter back into the soil, and somehow counter the pathogens, alcohols and other undesirables in the soil, so not too much water either as that would also encourage an unfavourable environment.

also don’t be too stressed about feeding, there’s probably much nutrients still in that soil

    good luck bru 👍🏻

that's the first cool thing about the elemental blend, we know what's in it. 😁

would be cool if you could use just the talborne by itself, but there's a reason why we can't. working in the commercial nurseries between 2012 and 2016 we pushed a whole lot of talborne onto anyone, looooong before the big cannabis wave came over. basically, talborne is generic and not formulated for cannabis specifically, though it works well, it's made for commercial use. for Talborne as a company who wants their products to be used by commercial growers they cannot focus on cannabis specifically, they need to cover a broad spectrum of crops so they focus mainly on the macronutrients, with the addition of micronutrients and trace elements that naturally comes with some of the organic compounds they use. as they say they're not a compost, but rather concentrated organic compounds.

elemental blend is formulated for cannabis specifically and using one product is way less of a headache than having to guess between 5 different things.

    ✌

This is also why I'm not too sure I would use it, but apparently many people are having great success with it so that's good to know. I'm just a bit picky with what I want in or on my soil at any given time, so I'm always doing my own thing in terms of top dressing and re-amending.

Now with many batches of my soil that have not been tested i'm basically just winging it in terms of what I add. Its still going pretty darn well thankfully.

But if someone were to just be like hmmm kelpmeal, bonemeal, dolomite lime topdress, disaster can be seconds away, so I always just give people friendly warnings.

Hey there fellow growmies. Thought I'd share what ill be doing for my top dress before going into flower. I have been growing in a super soil mix which I amended and cooked before planting. This will be the ladies first and only top dressing.

I am sure there are lots of growers out there who are feeling the pinch of electricity hikes and overall high cost of living. I try to save where i can and diy, making the most of what i have. KNF has been a revelation and im really seeing a big difference this grow using just a little of its practices.

My initial planting mix, along with other amendments, was tailored for veg so i used the Talborne organics vita veg. I wss surprised at how much power it had...still no deficiencies showing up.

I inculated some biochar with a mixture of EM-1 (Lab) ,mollases and water at a ratio of 1:1:200. Its been sitting for about one and a half weeks. Hopefully my attempt at a bokashi kinda aid will assist with the breakdown of nutrients. I want those feeder roots to come to the top, dance and have fun with my bennies haha.

The biochar, once innoculated will be mixed with compost(quarter mushroom compost, half vermicompost and one quarter  compost from my compost pile, some left over supersoil. I will then add the following:

    - Bone meal

    -kelp meal

    -home made crab meal

    -insect frass

-Talborne oragmics Vita Fruit and flower (red bag)

Im not sure whether or not to add soft rock phosphate as its what i have on hand for a different phosphorus source. Id like your guys input. I would like for these amendments to break down and my ladies to finish with a fade. Open to top dress recommendations that wont cost an arm an a leg.

I have a lovely mulch layer covering my pots of leaf mould from difference areas (my attempt at getting some diverse microbes going).

Im currently not using any bottled nutes. I feed with bio dyne microbes, labs and aloe juice periodically. Id like my top dress to carry me to the end but allow a good flush and fade on my ladies.

I like your style man! 💯

With top dressing, only want to add nutrients to supplement plants that have outgrown the pot so that they are not wanting during any stage of growth. then also being careful with compost or worm casting, I've had my fair share of compost that has not cured well enough and has adverse effect when applied, this can hinder growth significantly or even halt it completely, so imagine how kuck it would be if applied before flower. You get quality compost of castings you can mound on as top-dress and reap the benefits, but that you got pay top dollar for or make yourself.

You are adding a few elements and some have a full spectrum of flower nutrients like the talborn flower, so just add small amounts of the other stuff and you should be fine.

Anyway, I'm keen to see this one through, maybe start a grow diary and update up as you go along.

aha that's an important piece of info I over looked!

these where all in 30L, soo all together 150L of root space for that grow.

could have vegged them a lot longer, cause they where quite far from being root bound, I have thought of using my 20L's again and reducing the amount of soil, but since mixing my own soil I would rather go with the extra root space even if I don't need it 😁

hey wait...... could this be a reason for the looooooooong ass stretch before the pistils came in??? 🤔 I doubt it, but still scratching my head on that one.

Uhmm I dont know hey, these plants always do weird things.

Ya reusing soil is the best, now im always going for bigger if I'm not sifting through genetics.

I saw you said somewhere (I think it was you) to be careful of temperatures when growing autos. I'm putting some Fastbuds cheese and RQS Mimosa in there to start while I get some photo's going. It's not very well insulated so it'll lose heat fast. do you think load shedding will have much of an effect on the roots in winter? I've only grown autos outdoors in summer.

Should mention I got great service from biltongnbuds again. Credit where credit's due.

Ya you want to be careful with autos, I don't grow many autos but I think best practice is to try maintain consistent environments.

Then heat is a factor that is very situational, so what light do you plan on using? and does it give off heat, if so, you could possibly use it to heat up the environment.

Also you could run the lights at night to keep the temps in a good range.

  14. about 2 weeks, I'm writing off the Lotus head x wilson this is an unknown pheno, which is already too stretchy for me. Will probably just clone the crepes and the GG#4. The Wilson X slurri is dominating with her compact structure, may also clone her, but still got seeds.
