  1. Okay I see, yeah just curious. The plants are reacting well to it. And the nutritional imprint would reflect on the seeds, so was thinking they would work nicely in high potassium environments (which is hard to avoid in cannabis growing). I’ve heard many times that the chicken make some powerful kuckas… Which is why I ask, thanks man. 🙏🏼

  2. So you are only using the chicken manure in the pots and getting really good results. That's very interesting. Your water usage must be efficient.

I would like to ask, do you also use the manure only in your breeding project's?

  3. Don’t know what time it is, but it’s Sunday.

did some topping, might consider all the lateral branching for the dark phoenix

This Chem dog better start moving soon, although I’m really getting the full indica style growth from them, which wasn’t expected but anyway. We continue on. Both under 3000k, and one has IR AND UV, Which im being very careful of, @Ill_Evan 😂

and then some outdoor fun from

I find the Chem crosses are a bit slower growing. Will have to wait and see if the are worth the wait. Not all of them though. My Florida Gaspack is flying.

Ya they are on a go slow, but it is freezing, I should have the heater on. Which will be done today actually.

  5. 11 days later, and they both have new homes, transplanted the smaller Chem dogs 3 days ago, and the Dark Phoenix yesterday, trying to get the chems to catch up abit, but not enough to risk the DP, so I was in a bit of a debacle.

anyway, I’ll hack the DP back until I’m happy with the size of the CDs.

    Veg starts now

    Hi there,

I need advise please. I've just bought some netbows which arrived today. I'm using 20 ltr pots (indoor grow) and another 4x 20ltr pots (outdoor grow).

First question is are they too big for my pots?.

These were the only size sold by grow folk.

Maybe I could start the little ones (seedlings) off with an arrow dripper untill the root system is large enough to use the netbows ?????.

OR, should I try and get smaller netbows????.

Also, could someone kindly explain what amount and frequency should I aim to set my timer.... .

I've only used watering can in the past so not sure about dripper systems. ie, do I have to let it drip until runoff?.

Sorry to seem a bit daft but I'm trying new ways of growing weed. I'm using hydrorox indoors and cannamix premium (in fabric pots) outside.IMG_20220808_161638.thumb.jpg.822cf5daf8369697a984ed22198abfe1.jpg

    Appreciate any feedback....

    Cheers...

Howzit bud, I have not used the netbow myself, but they seem to be quite a interesting and effective design,

With your choices you have made, you need to figure out the context and if things will work with your ideas, so I’m sure you going salts and plan on running them through the net bow, which I’m not sure if you can or cannot do, but for sake of getting through the explanation, let’s say it works in the beginning or the foreseeable future.

I think they are the right size for the pot, just the medium might be an issue , also not too sure though, all drippers are effective because they are deigned to moisten the surface area of a medium that is similar to that of soil/peat/coco , hydroton has big holes inbetween each pieces causing the water to fall to the bottom faster, and not getting the full surface of the pot moistened nicely if you get my drift. One issue I see there.

You’ve probably got a decent amount of hydroton there, which I recommend you still use, but only for the bottom 1/3 of the pots, then the rest you can fill with a coco/perlite or full coco buffered ready to go mix, whatever works best for the hydro guys at the moment, I even tried a peat soil and that did very well with salts.

This recommendation is inline with the fact that I’m sure you want to use the netbows

The the netbows need to be connected to a manifold, hydroponic have the best manifolds, I think it’s called a manifold bubbler for some reason, you can get a bucket or 5gal container, put a small water pump at the bottom, you want to have some holes in the pipe leading to the manifold to release pressure as I find there is always too much

The simply connect the water pump to a time, chuck a few net bows in a bucket and let it run to see how much water is coming out after a given time. You will need a digital timer, and set it accordingly, 5/7/10 minutes twice a day when plants are grown. In the begining don’t bother with it, small plants need love and care 👍🏻 Goodluck

  7. So here is the sad story, I’m actively treating these plants for powdery mildew, and I’m in 2 minds how I’m going to acheive saving the plants.

1 is chop sooner rather than later while there are plants to save, but very prematurely.

2 is to hit them hard this evening and maybe start removing some infected leaves.

either way, they getting drenched in potassium bicarb and jadam this eveningish

That being said, still wowed by these plants, deifnitley of the top tier genetics, nice bit of winter colours, and the infection obviously  🥲

ya'll know what this means! 🤭

    Deeep cleaning tiiiime 🪣🧽

1st take everything out the tent, dust down the passive vents on the outside where the dust collects. Remove the bug barrier from the inline fan, give it a good was with warm soap water. Remove the tent floor tray, give it a good wash with warm soapy water. Dust the inside of the tent out thoroughly. Once the tent floor tray is dry, put it back in the tent. Time to grab a few tools and take the fans apart. All plastic parts go in a nice soapy hotwater bath and gets a nice deep scrub. Fan motors, if you got a small dust blower / computor box cleaner / keyboard cleaner you can blow the dust out the fan motors. either way they will need a few drops of oil/lube. will help with longevity of your fans and save you money, time and headache. Once fans are good as new, put them back in the tent. Hopefully your bug barrier is dry by now, put it back over the inline fan intake. At this point everythings back in the tent, except for the light. This is when I switch on all the fans and I spray 3%H202 solution. I avoid spraying anywhere I can't wipe it down as the Peroxide will bleach or damage certain materials if left on there for too long. I make sure the tent walls are covered, before I close the tent I spray from the bottom upwards in the middle of the tent and aim at nothing so the fans can kinda blow it around and hopefully some of it gets sucked into the ducting. Wait about 10minutes, then wipe down the inside of the tent to avoid Peroxide damages. The light needs a good deep dusting on all corners and hard to reach places, as this is where unwanted pests will make their nests. Take a few earbuds, get in those areas, make sure theres no more dust.

Hang the light back up and ready for the next run! 🤓

wish the plants looked better, growth basically came to a complete stand still, they stopped feeding, soil stayed wet for a week 🤔 did not like what I saw, did a runoff test, all the cheese plants had super low EC. waiting for soil to dry out so I can give them a nice elemental blend top dress with some mycos. they'll be good in no time 🤙  thought they would be ready soon, but this is what you get for counting you chickens before they hatch, getting held back at least a week cause I wasn't paying close enough attention. this is how we learn 🤷‍♂️

previous batch hanging in the small storage wendy. we keep the wendy closed at all times so it's dark in there 24/7, only gets light when I open the door.

For those using bioneem or neem oil, what is your take on the controversy of Neem Oil being linked to Cannabis Hyperemesis Syndrome (CHS) ?

I'm a bit undecided on it, I think I constitute being a "heavy" cannabis user (I go through about 5 duk joints a day and way more on weekends), I've never encountered CHS.

Sounds like the greenies, however neem oil should never be spayed on buds, not because it’s harmful to you, which I don’t know for sure, but harmful to the growth of the bud lol

  10. happy Sunday greens growing hommie growmies!

We have a new home for the Dark phoenix and Chem D. These plants will be potted in 40l pots.

The flowering plants are outside now. Have not been keeping track of flowering time, but looking back it’s actually already week 9, plants should be finishing up soon than they appear. However they look to atleast have another 2 weeks

    Lekke chilled Sunday ahead 🙏🏼🔥

  11. Happy Sunday evening mense, not the most happy chappy time, but wishing all a brilliant week ahead 🙏🏼👍🏻

late feedback here but been dealing with much mildew and it cost me a plant, the crepes got chopped, she was and still is playing vector, will be discarding that cut.

now we have 3 smaller plants left, it was a combination of many causes, so ya, is what it is. They will enjoy the extra space

  12. Decided to trim the girls down to smithereens!

I won’t lie, it’s been a rough ride thus far, but it’s looking up once again after this Defol and recent sprays, maybe the plants will start putting on some weight now

So on the Alibaba thing, I happened to get all my grow lights from aliexpress there:

Samsung LM281B+ LED's - https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002970983869.html - I looked at the 150w lights for my Greenhouse for supplemental lighting, their design allows a lot of sunlight through for during the day.

    Samsung LM282B, Epistar 660nm IR UV LED's - https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003274332963.html - dimable 240w, meanwell driver per light at ~R2900 scalable to 1000w.

    Samsung LM301H, Epistar 660nm IR UV LED's - https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002547349143.html - same of the unit above, except with the LM301H LED's ~R3550.

Then my lovely babies in my 1.2m tents - https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003491913131.html - The 8 bar, 800w (640w actual usage) with separate Spectrum and  IR/UV dimmers.

I have not had one single issue with any of the above items I've ordered and all have arrived in about a week with Fedex or DHL delivery.

The import duties on these are absolutely minimal, I think the most I paid on the 8bar light was about ~R300

    -Dave

P.S> apologies if this might seem a bit spammy for my first post, but I been lurking anonymous on these forums for about 6 months now and felt it time to share some info.

Nice one man, thanks for the share, those grow lights must have surely seen some grows bro! Share a grow with us, Start a grow diary, lets see them girls! 🤩

  14. Fighting the good fight here, these genetics are proving to be worth it, the crepes is doing things I haven't seen very often. However its actually been on the backfoot in terms of having all the nutrition, normal light hours, and proper ventilation during load shedding, will be sorting them out tomorrow with a solution thankfully.

And obviously the uphill PM battle as a result, but honestly. I have the best luck with pyrol, at 20ml p/l, every other day or so, dim the lights at lights on and leave them to dry for about 30mins - 1hr. Then lights back on, being very careful not to spray buds. Just zapping the spots I can see. However it is expected, the tent is crowded a bit.

Goodluck with this waVy electrics growers
