  1. was just gona say, a timer with a battery that keeps "real time" and doesn't stop with loadshedding will solve your problem. they're available at most hardware shops and electronic shops. quite easy to come by. however, when it comes to loadshedding you don't really have to worry about light schedule. you should be worried more about PM and keeping your fans on. when all your fans go off the RH in the grow space will spike to 80 - 100% with no wind. perfect environment for PM spores to take host. especially if you got a full tent and when you're in flower it's much more risky as buds are dense and have a lot of moisture in them already. during flower you want around 30 - 40% RH, a plant can handle a little more humidity during veg, but still shouldn't be sitting in a closed tent without ventilation for anything more than 5min at a time. otherwise you testing your luck as with PM you can never be too safe. If I had to choose one thing I need to keep running through loadshedding I would rather choose my inline fan over the light. your light schedule doesn't have to be consecutive. I thought it would be much more of a problem during flower, after 5 years or so of indoor growing I haven't had a single light schedule related issue with the whole loadshedding bullshit and I have only the cheapest analogue timers that also shuts off with loadshedding.
  2. Welkom! Ja, solank mens hie kom vir raad kan mens lekker hard en vinnig leer op die groep
  3. cz it's the wrong time of the year brother
  4. I am not looking to mix what I spray, the way I do things has been working for me. glad you found some info on biogrow stuff. you gona be using only Biogrow products? they say you can mix their products, that doesn't mean you can mix all spray stuff all willy nilly. infact, if they say you can mix their neem with their copper soap, that doesn't mean you can mix any branded neem with any branded copper soap. they probably make their line of products so that they're compatible and synchronizable. same like with feeding, if you use BioBizz products you try to stick with BioBizz as there's a schedule. if you wana bring in a different brand of anything you have to go to the charts/schedules and check what's what so you can compensate for the new product and either give less or more of either thing.
  5. for a real accurate answer you would literally have to research each product individually, get to know the active ingredients and see what and how they interact with others and see if any of the names link up to avoid all that work I would say be safe and rather do one at a time, that's how I do it and even then sometimes you can get some burn or stunting. If you're new to the whole thing I would say get used to doing regular IPM with one product, get the testy test see how it works in terms of how the plants react to it, you can add things to your IPM regime and later try to combine half doses of 2 different things and play around a little. with IPM stuff start with smaller doses and work your way up to full dose
  6. This was a quick last minute call, had to be done, the sprayer that hooks up to the tracktor just stopped working bla bla bla ...long story short, a moerse drone was used to spray about 4ha of wheat. this was more of a selective herbicide to kill the canola in between. the chemical consultant worked out a recipe, we got all the products from PW Lanboudienste, the drone guy owns the thing himself and does up to 30ha on a day if things run smoothe so this was small job for him. the runs on batteries, it lifts up to 65kg, the tank for whatever you're spraying takes 30L. Here you can just about make out the mist it makes. the spot below it that looks like it's being pressed down is the spot being treated. takes longer for the computer to map the spray area than for it to actually spray the area. what a treat it was to watch this thing fly around! hope you all having a lekker week so far!
  7. oh yeah chances that it's the same Big Buddha cut could be quite high. I appreciate the offer, but still don't have any space and seeing as I have grown her before I would rather go for something new when I do have space. you gona be making any of the seed batches available at seed banks or is it all more a personal? seems like you got seeds for days..... and days..... and days!
  8. nice and cheesy! that big buddha cheese is real nice, hopefully it's the same pheno still doing rounds in cpt since a couple years back. I am taking my super cheese down soon, have you grown it before? mine smell like taking off your shoes after a long hot day in the sun wearing no socks, with a hint of cheese
  9. Skipped a week so this is 2 weeks later, things are finishing up Frenchy got the chop, filled her spot with a small flowering Zweet Inzanity I had in flower outdoors. will finish her inside, she's only around week 3.5. will raise her with a bucket later today. Frosted Apricot - last of her Blueberry Hashplant - last of her Chernobyl - kept clones Super Cheese - kept clones French Macaron - during the chop, kept clones This Frenchy plant is a reeeeaal stinker. and this is an understatement! I feel like a fat kid waiting for cake, the excitement is too much!! It's one of those smells you want in your house as a weed smoker, but anyone who comes over that doesn't smoke weed will be offended by the smell. can't stretch enough how badly this plant smells like bad body odor. you would have to explain the reason for the smell to some. Bud shots comming soon! silly me, ended the reply without showing you guys the Zweet Inzanity! here she is
  10. So I spotted 2 or 3 nanners on the Forbidos, she showed all signs of finishing up even though the buds weren't fully formed. anyway, gave her the chop, last photos before the chop the flowers turned out amazing!!! outdoor grown weed that taste better than indoor grown weed. it's a no brainer, I kept a clone for future indoor monocrop photos of the buds
  11. almost 2 weeks later, they got real bushy so I did a deep defoliation, I didn't like the way the net was working for now, so I raised it back up and put some clipties around the rim of the pot. they should be ready to flip in about 3 weeks.
  12. I would love to call it all mine, but the reality of that is quite slim. For now owning the title is the big win. In future I would remain the biggest share holder, but to expand to the point of having a couple mil in flow is gona take me alone reeeeeaally long, but luckily there are quite a few different ways to approach this thing. If you talk to the right people and create the right kinda background for yourself and you bring the most important slice of the pie to the table (the knowledge and the numbers) then you already got your foot in the door. This "green rush" is the next big thing and I couldn't count how many big time Agriculture names wana jump on this train. by the time we hear about another BIG legal grow setup it's been months and months, perhaps even a year or more of research and paperwork was done in complete silence. these guys with the deep pockets don't like to make noise. I've had a few in depth discussions with the guy I started the Protea farm for in Hermanus, he started the farm as a retirement gift to himself. Literally bought a part of a mountain right at the top, got bulldozers and rippers dropped off up there, we ripped about 9hectares of his 100+ hectares he bought. Filled it all up with King Proteas for export to Holland. He got some rreeeeeaall deep pockets and it's about to get even deeper. He's all positive when talking cannabis lisences and what not. I keep the fire alive by talking to him about it every now and then, cause that's not what he's interested in. But let me tell you what he is interested in, money him and all the others just like him... and there are sooooo many in this beautiful farm country we live in. Afriplex themselves are very interested in cannabis medicine, they already doing some CBD stuff. Got a few conversations going at the same time, one very valuable life lesson I learned through growing - plant more than one seed
  13. ah hahah sorry man so we still good I just know how this discussion goes from having it a million times before so I sometimes jump to conclusions, which is wrong of me, but trust me I don't mean to come across as offensive or anything but yeah stick around and show us how your grow shapes out, I am always excited about all weed things so even if I am not completely in support of what's happening I like to see and learn more from others
  14. His point is the same thing you said, the plant can't tell the difference if it's synthetic or organic. so if Dr. Bruce claims there is no difference, then why lean away from organics if it's JUST AS GOOD AS SYNTHETICS? that's your argument, I am just using it against you. Like I said, there are sooooooo many benefits to growing with organics besides your end results (the weed you harvest) like it or not, if you endorse a product you support it. so, why support a product that is adds to the list of bad things we do? PLUS, there are BIG differences Dr. Bruce doesn't even get close to touching on. if you think I have to watch that video to get clued up on how natures works you in for a big surprise my guy. https://www.researchgate.net/publication/331132826_The_Impact_of_Chemical_Fertilizers_on_our_Environment_and_Ecosystem https://www.420sa.co.za/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=27969 besides, if you can make the argument that the best weed you smoked was from synthetic grow, and I take your word for it cause your word is as good as mine, right? but my word is that the best weed I ever smoked was from organic grow. so what? that's not gona do anything to your judgement?
  15. I put the 4 leaf clover there as a little token of luck, and I meant it.
  16. don't attach too much emotion here brother, that shits not gona get you anywhere
  17. the ONLY BENEFIT that comes with using synthetics is mass production. (emphesis on the word BENEFIT) food farms upscaling to feed the masses however the world is over populated, so feeding the masses creates an even bigger problem.... so you're creating a problem by trying to solve a problem and it leaves the whole world with an even bigger problem? if, like Dr. Bruce stated, there is no difference in organics vs synthetics, perhaps it's cause he is too focussed on the fine detail to see the bigger picture. AND IF there is no difference, why support and promote the one with the more negative environmental impact and that encourages an even bigger global problem? do I need to go on???
  18. you can see things from the plants perspective!? damn boooiii, then why you asking advice on the forum? we should all be learning from you! lol no I know what you mean, I guess it is what it is hey, like I said, let's see how long it takes you to realise the difference
  19. silk screens, like the ones Mr. Canuk use. available local
  20. you guys know about these? they got all the variations. https://peasysqueegee.com/?product_cat=screens&post_type=product&s=screen
  21. hell yeah not enough gourmet mushrooms on the local shelves, thought I'd do something about that!!! had a quick meeting with Afriplex to discuss some R&D projects and ....... some other stuff ...... till I figure my path to setting up commercial cannabis facility this will be my little play area!
