  1. Well, many big name hydroponic stores in SA started by selling weed as well so.. I am aware, and to @Naughty.Psychonaut's point and to mine as well, it isn't under any official regulation so any one of them can be technically shutdown. I in fact went to my local Cannapax (before they got shut down) to check out the place and try out their weed just to compare to what I was growing at the time. It was also just fascinating to me that they operated so openly. What I meant by clubs being a thing was rather the ability for clubs to operate openly and not get randomly searched or harassed by the popo or anybody else. The guys who run clubs more privately are obviously going to be ahead of the game for sure, so I'd say they fall under the label of courageous, while guys like Cannapax fall under stupidity. Yes exactly like this minus any worries from authority. If THC were in fact not operating in the way that they should have, then I guess they fall under a bit of both courageous and stupid but this alone is very interesting to me because I wonder if Schindlers would be supporting them so thoroughly if this were the case or whether the SAPS are claiming that they weren't in order for THC to prove them wrong and to see how much data/evidence THC were actually able to obtain/keep.
  2. If we must sacrifice THC for cannabis clubs to be a thing, I'd be ok with that
  3. Finally I'll be able to mingle with the big boys again
  4. Just wanted to make sure you'd understand I know you get confused sometimes
  5. Was reminded of The Haze Club recently and I went to go see what's going on with their case as the outcome will essentially determine and set precedent for the grow club model which would open up all sorts of doors for any reasonable grower. Here's the updates from their side that I've collected: From the above it's clear to me the state has fucked up and are using delay tactics, probably to allow whatever big businesses to setup before they finally release whatever bullshit bill they have under their sleeves to make this all play in their favour. I predict the cannabis club grow model to work in conjunction in a limited capacity alongside big businesses. They will try their best to limit the amounts as not to contest with big business but until big business can sell locally, it's essentially meaningless and grow clubs will have the headstart. Whatever limits they try impose will be impossible to enforce. Also seems like The Haze Club have not been in operation since the initial bust, that's a very very long time not to be in business, and I hope they sue the state for loss of potential business. That's why I think the state is fucked. They have many bills to pay for this. So we will see in September whether they have their day in court or not.
  6. Well.. it isn't legal but also not illegal The legal landscape is still pretty much a mess, so officially I wouldn't say it is completely off the board to do, just gotta be cautious with it. I wonder how it's going with The Haze Club and whether they ended up restarting operations again

Also watched all of them last night. It feels so different to the old TUF these guys are so much nicer to each other. Couldn't believe Team Ortega got 4-0 to start with, I'm also surprised how little they talk about the couches. I think I heard Craig Jones say maybe 2 lines worth or words I'd also like to hear what the other couches are about, but alas. So far I'm enjoying it.
  8. Got some nice preflower going on, buds starting to develop something nice Bit all over the show she is, but regardless, I like her style.
  9. Haven't come across them yet, maybe because I am not looking... I think it's a good idea for guys just getting started, skip the whole seeding stage and all. If you have seen a flowering version of the clone it also helps I guess. I don't really see guys giving out their best phenos just sommer because profit, so I'd initially question whether it's been specially selected or just simply a seed chuck and a random couple mothers that are then cloned. Nothing beats buying a dozen or two regulars and picking out a pheno yourself, in my humble opinion. But what do I know, I am a measly 'Proficient' cannabis grower

  13. Thanks guys, been looking forward to this moment before harvest for quite a while! I just harvested T#6 now, after handling the bud and getting a nice personal look at the nuggets, @Totemic the buds are mega resinous my dude, jirrrrrrrrre! I don't think I've ever had gloves this soaked in goodness before and I consider this one to be harvested a bit early. I am so looking forward to harvesting the rest of the Tortonis later on in the month after what I just saw
  14. Alrighty then we are coming up on that time I am going to post the update pics in order of how I took them this time just out of convenience as I have three different angles for each plant. I am also going to post the other plants I am growing just for comparisons sake. There's a bunch of pics to follow so I will do my quick summary here rather than after. One of the Tortoni's, T#6 has been developing some nanners so I am going to chop her tomorrow morning after setting up my drying net. The nanners are very isolated and look very new so I do not think they would have had time to do too much damage. Time will tell if any seeds developed in her or in any other of the ladies. When I give her the chop I am going to give the back plants a closer look as I will have a bit more space to do so. T#10 has the thickest and most complete queen cola out of all the Tortonis and she has the most green and lack of purple out of all the Tortonis. T#5 may be short, but her buds are all nice and consistent in size, she's like a mini version of T#10 but with a little more purple hues. T#8 has the most developed bottom nuggets I have ever seen on any plant I have ever grown in my life, I just forgot to take a pic of them but I will next time. They look like nuggets you would find in the middle of the plant but they are the most bottom which I usually get undeveloped meh buds, but not this lady. T#9 has the deepest colour of purple out of all the Tortonis and is a bit like T#8 in shape and size but the bottom nugs don't seem as developed or as large. Otherwise still a good few clear trichomes on the Wedding Cake and one or two of the Tortonis. Trickles of amber are appearing throughout all the plants so end of month is still looking like perfect harvest timing. The Choc Gelato is the tiniest plant of the lot, super small but I am hoping she packs some tasty flavour. The Zkittles x Purple Punch has some really stellar compact trichomes, it wows me every time. Wedding Cake T#5 Choc Gelato T#10 T#6 T#9 T#8 Zkittles x Purple Punch

  16. Great news for farmers in Zimbabwe!
  17. No problem in removing them, I sometimes do when planting seedlings so I can get more of the stem buried for stability purposes. As long as the seedling looks healthy and you feel like it can handle the additional stress, go for it. I see removing foliage from a plant as removing pieces of armour. If the plant is battling, I usually don't remove foliage until healthy growth resumes.
  18. Same dude, same. It also really helps to water when transplanting to prevent air pockets in the soil at the root level. Them air pockets can be a doozy. @Adansonia digitata, I like your blue takkies bru
  19. She's a stretchy lass! Between not burning her and managing the stretch, I must admit her height has gotten away from me a bit. The canopy is no longer as even as I had hoped, although it may still look pretty cool in the end. She may even be quite a yielder! I have fed The One with a round of full Preflower dose, 2ml/L Gro, 2ml/L Micro and 1.5ml/L Bloom. She must feel so overwhelmed amongst my lovely ripening flowering plants, like a teenager checking out a varsity campus for the first time (most PC analogy I could think of.. and their were many )
  20. They wouldn't be able to rescind the Constitutional Court ruling so we got that, what they would try to do is limit max amounts and what is allowed to be transported/consumed in public. I'd rather have regulation paired with decrimalisation. Legalisation means licenses, and those licenses will be expensive. This will prevent those with the knowledge but without the funds to lift themselves up with what they already have. Regulation means standards and expectations, like say you can only call something 'AAA' if it meets a certain level of quality, or an expectation that poisonous pesticides may not be used if you intend on selling forth your home grown cannabis. Y'know, general safety and awareness type stuff that you can hold to the grower to respect and facilitate. Legalisation has failed in Canada and the majority of cannabis bought and consumes is still via the black market. It'd be the same here if we followed their model. USA already have state laws that allow cannabis to be sold legally to the public, with standards and expectations. Federal legality just means that the grow shops/head shops can finally use credit facilities and not be forced to be completely cash based anymore, which will make the experience much safer for everyone there, and they will be able to sell and transport their cannabis across state borders, so you wouldn't be forced to only sell within your state lines. I think the reputation of big pharma has taken a bit of a knock in the states especially with all their emergency authorisation to use experimental vaccines and their news media always flipflopping on the efficacy of them. Cannabis products are known to assist greatly with chronic illness and not everyone can or wants to inhale smoke/vape, and consistency with edibles anywhere has always been touch and go. Big pharma could win back some of that reputation with consistent, potent edible cannabis products and I think that's where they will fall into the cannabis market. Raw cannabis will for the most part always be with The People™.
