It's the lacto bacillus in milk. If you'd like to concentrate that goodness, read up on making a lacto bacillus serum. Once you have a pure form of it, mix half half with molasses and it will keep for a year in the fridge. It has so many more uses than just being a super anti bad bacterial, its probiotic for you and your pets too.4 points

Yeah. It may seem daunting and difficult to grow cannabis. But it's not. Cannabis practically grows itself. Over the years as I have seen new growers come and go, the main problems are lack of patience as @SkunkPharm said, and misconceptions about fertilizer, where people treat it as a plant steroid, hoping to speed things up. We are a generation where everything must happen yesterday. Plants are own their own rythem. To me there is no better therapy than slowing yourself down to natures pace. Again, not putting THC down, but the value proposition is skewed, and the client is losing.3 points

I'd say get yourself one or two QBs. My veg tent is 1.2*1.2*2.0 and I use 2 of the QBs pulling 60w each. Covers the tent fully Sent from my G3312 using Tapatalk3 points

I would use the serum. The point of the serum is to concentrate the bacteria. The organisms with the most individuals on the battlefield win the war. It's a matter of shear force with numbers in the micro world.2 points

If you speak to people buying indoor, I feel most would agree that R100/g is not a bad price. I personally know of friends and other people who pay more than R100/g when purchasing their weed and they are very happy to do so, I don't agree with it and have never paid R180/g for indoor. For me it's hard to justify, hence why I am growing. These friends on the other hand are happy to do so, I even know a girl who pays around R250 for "hydro". She only smokes hydro and sativa's. At the same time I know of people who buy cheap weed, like R15/g upto R30/g. It's not the best stuff obviously but it gets them stoned and they're happy as they cannot afford the better stuff. Some of the stuff around the R25 - R30/g has been pretty decent too on occasion. Some people are happy to spend high amounts of money on certain things, which mean something or have high importance to them while others wouldn't. A few good examples are: Computers Cellphones Cars Clothing Common items which are used every day. For some spending under R10k on a laptop / computer is a lot, for others that's considered cheap. For others who are "enthusiasts" or gamers, dropping R40k is easy and you can even spend more. Cellphones, I don't even feel I need to explain here but a new iPhone and the latest Samsung flagship are around the R20k mark I believe, thats a lot of money for a phone. I personally spent waaay less and am perfectly happy with my phone and I know of people who spend even less on their phones. My sister's phone cost jsut over R2k, a tenth of the latest flagship and she's super happy with it and it works great for her and her needs. Cars, they all kinda do the same things and get you places but just look on the roads and you quickly notice the contrast in priceing on cars. The luxury cars are common on the road (Audi, BMW, Merc) and they have an average price of R550k+ and then you look at the more expensive cars such as your Land Rovers, Jaguars, Jeeps, Porches and more expensive luxury cars (S3, RS3, AMG, M3, M4, Evoque) and these are all cars I see on a regular basis. Dare I say at least once a week. At the same time the road is filled with cheaper cars too, like your Kia's and Hyundai's from the low end i10 and Picanto to some of the pricier models. Clothing. You get people spending R500 on a Levi T-shirt, you get people spending R200 on a woolworths T-shrit and people spending R100 or less on a Mr Price / Jet T-shirt. Some people insist on branded clothing while others would rather buy what they like and feel is good quality and some people don't care and just need something so they are not naked in public. We can even bring food into the mix, buying your kellogs cereal vs the cheap Pick n Pay brand. The Checkers branded biscuits vs the bakers biscuits. Heck 1 ply vs 2 ply toilet paper. People consider certain things more important and therefore will rather spend more money on somethings than others. People also earn differently.2 points

So... I kinda see value as this was an idea I played with. It ended up in me setting up someone and I teach him to grow and I take 20% of his harvest. There are many people out there who wants to have the Legal Home grow, but they are too scared, lazy, dumb to do it themselves . (Oh wait too busy making bucks) I know a few people with mega bucks that just want to try and stay on the legal side. Easy sale to them. Hey bro. You need this shit for your medical issue. Growing is legal buying is not. What you say I help you grow at home and then I take 20% of your harvest for the first 12months. My success on this grow of yours depends on how successful I am at teaching you. I can guarantee with proof that I will outgrow your first year's attempt at growing by much more than 20%. So basically I'm giving it to you for free. SHARE THE LOVE (always add that in the end of course otherwise you look like your trying to make a buck out of the person or scamming)2 points

R100 a gram indoor price is ridiculous. Growing my own puts my outdoor at less than R1 a gram. Indoor costs me R10 a gram with current eskom rates.2 points

You probably be better off then just buying 50g of 100/g bulk from someone. Cannabis isn't difficult to grow like Totemic said, people are just being lazy konte that doesn't want to do anything for themselves. Honestly Psy no offence bro but no granny is gonna be taking part in this shit, she can barely fork out money for monthly food, bills and the odd going to the shop with the car she's had for 15 years. This service, this service is for the rich naiers who's got too much money, not enough cells to drive that washing sponsie he calls a brain and somebody that's lazy as fuck. Honestly if you wanted weed to smoke and you buy, what's wrong with good outdoor buds that's actually good genetics and not invested with some dude's man juice at a lovely 30/g bulk price. Anybody using this, jy's n dom poes. Sent from my G3312 using Tapatalk2 points

Once again it goes back to convenience. It's not a service for those who grow or want to grow. It's for the people who don't have space or time to grow or don't want the hassle of growing, they want the convenience of paying money and getting weed. All the worry of pests, pH, watering, load shedding etc. Etc. Is taken away from them and it seems a bit more safe than buying from some dealer - perhaps the person doesn't even have a dealer. Some granny who read cannabis can help her back pain and then heard about THC, it's a no brainer for her as she won't consider growing herself. Perhaps she's even in a wheel chair. I feel the idea is great, the execution and lack of transparency / info could be improved. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk2 points

People don't have patience. Others cannot grow anything. But I am totally with you. This is what you can do with R4000. This is his 2nd and 3rd plant. Perpetual harvest. We went with 2 x 50w Cree cxb 3590 cobs. Auto seeds. Freedom farm soil, 20l pots, biobizz Bloom, 2 fans. He is harvesting 40-50grams. R300 electricity. Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk2 points

I get why they want to flip to flower ASAP as a client isn't going to want to wait 4 or 5 months for some weed when they're paying each month. Who here would trust someone with 5 months of pay without receiving any weed, wait half a year for some weed. It's a bit much. Also if Yiu give members a chance to pick how long they want their plants to grow for, it becomes a nightmare to manage. Perhaps within time they might consider it if all goes well. Not to mention the longer you wait to harvest, the more that can go wrong. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk2 points

So I trimmed the 3 plants in front, defoliated and cleaned them up quite a bit. Another Bruce Banner plant started showing it sex (the one to the left in the picture), it was a female and a bit larger so I did some LST again as I had left it to do it's own thing for a bit and then swapped it out in my tent. The smaller (to the right in the picture) Bruce Banner will be going to another forum member as he has the space to grow it out, unlike me. I also noticed that the smaller Bruce Banner wasn't too happy with the previous feed, nutes were a bit too strong so I will ease up on the nutes for the next feed and then after that I will probably do a flush before flipping to flower. I much prefer the Plant Matter fabric pots (lighter colour) over the Grow Guru fabric pots (black). Their sizing is a bit more convenient, not as wide but a bit taller.2 points

Just letting guys know about my experience with milk to assist with powdery mildew. I have been apprehensive about using milk on my plants... Because geez, milk stinks when it goes funky and who likes that!? But I needed to do something about my PM issues. So I tried the whole milk thing. Bought a litre of PnP full cream milk... Diluted it about 40/60 in water... It would have been 50/50 but I drank alil milk I have a 2l garden sprayer that I bought at builders for 99 bucks... This thing is a life changer haha. And so I commenced my spraying... Everything got a good spray... Under and on top of the leaves and surrounding area.. And I still had about a litre left so I went around the garden and sprayed any areas iv had issues with before... It stank my grow up... Was pretty disgusting... But I let it go... White leaves, dripping with milk... I just left it... I was like... Guys say this works... So let me give it a chance... Today I go in and check what's up.. To find no powdery mildew (I need to keep an eye open for any new spots) and not only was my grow free of PM, they were praying at an angle I haven't seen in a while .. And no smelly milk! I must note.. That I'm running hydro systems... And some of the milk did leak into the res... Only one of them.. And those plants are praying the hardest... I will be monitoring my res for the next few days to see how things turn out... Who knows... Maybe I add a ml or 2 at each res.. Lol but more research needs to happen. So if you have been putting off a milk spray... Here's my testimony to something that worked1 point

The concentrated serum can be diluted 10ml-20ml / litre water. Use as a soil drench. Very effective at killing bad anearobic bacteria in poorly aerated soil. It can be sprayed on leaves as a pesticide, your surface areas as disinfectant. The use list is long.1 point

@Pat999 yea man I would go for it I have a strong feeling that this is because of my micro herd... If you have a poor soil biology, then I would say going in very diluted, like 10% And I would do this in place of your regular water only watering. Note the results, and adjust the ratio accordingly... I don't think a full or even 5050 milk drench is wise without more experiments in soil1 point

I completely get what you're saying, although once again not everybody wants to put in the time and effort or has the space. Take a business man who is constantly traveling and only home 3 nights a week as an example, or a single mom with 2 kids. In terms of value for money, it was worked out to around R100/g and that is not a bad price for indoor when others are selling indoor for R150+ and then selling their "hydro" for R250+ per gram. If / when dispensaries come to be in SA, it's a similar concept but more choice and no waiting and prices will most likely be higher than R100/g for good quality indoor. Obviously we cannot comment on the quality of THC's bud yet, I'd hope for it to be decent though. Growing weed vs buying high quality weed, generally it will always be cheaper to grow it than to buy it otherwise why are people selling it so cheap in the first place? Painting a room yourself vs hiring someone to paint it for you. This concept often applies to a lot of DIY things and it's often quite a bit cheaper to do it yourself than to have someone else do it for you - it may be convenient for them to do it for you but it comes at a premium. Growing weed is no different. If I were to do what THC are doing, yes I would do it differently but right now with them starting out I totally understand where they are coming from with regards to their options and how they are doing things. I may not fully agree with them, but I do understand them.1 point
-
Legality. I am no public defendant of THC, I've just looked at every aspect when it comes to growing and the sheer amount of time & effort justifies the price per gram over and over again no matter how you look at it.. Car guards: nobody really needs em, most complain about em but the few who do use them appreciate the service.1 point
-
The thing is, once you are setup, running a 400w HID, perhaps 2 fans, in a sq meter tent...the electricity a month is less than THC's monthly membership. Reducing veg time with clones you can veg for 3 weeks, fit 12 plants/clones, and harvest 300 to 400g. 75% to 100% more cannabis at less cost. What am I missing?1 point

They started to look happier after their transplant and watering. Yesterday I noticed one of the Charlottes Angel plants (I think) had some pistils already - they were feminized seeds so it was expected but did not expect to see that on such a small plant. I then decided it may be a good idea to start training the plants so I bent them over and used some metal hooks to keep them down. Today I noticed that two of the 4 plants responded very well, the 3rd was making do and the 4th did not look good or happy... I hope it does not die. It's one of my Charlottes Angel plants and those seeds were not cheap. I proceeded to mix the STS solution and then picked two plants to spray, I decided to go with both of the #2 plants. This included the sad looking Charlottes Angel, I figured I just need to keep it alive long enough to give me pollen and that I'd rather use the stronger plant to take the pollen and make me some seeds!! I took the picture after spraying them with some STS, so now we wait to see what happens. I will continue to spray the plants with the STS solution every 5 days until there are some big balls. These are also my first autoflowers I am attempting to grow, so hopefully I get the timing right. The next STS spray will be on Monday evening, I will time it better on Monday - do it around 30 minutes before the lights go off in the grow area.1 point

Botanist hey? So what's the research then that THC is conducting? A horticulturalist is more appropriate with the current setting. THC is a growing/agricultural service provider, no mention of breeding or any specialized research into Cannabis, so I'm just curious why a botanist would betray his degree to do simple gardening... Its definately time to get actual Reps from THC here...so many questions and less answers.....1 point

Transplants done, using new plantmatters 22L's I much prefer these dimensions than those of FF, they are not as wide but are taller which means more can be squeezed into a small space Also using newly obtained OM soil. Will be topping in a day or two after transplant shock wares off. Root zone of one plant:1 point
