Quick update on the KmintZ and ZxP, they are 8 weeks into flower tomorrow.

ZxP looks pretty good to go to be honest. I will try take some trichome pics later tonight and determine how ripe they are.

The KmintZ is getting a bit more colour in the pistols but I am feeling another week or two. I would also like to get a better idea from the trichomes.

I have for the most part completed the hardest part of the training for the ZxP in the Organic Tent™. So far things look nice and flat, 8 main stems designated on each plant. When I get some length on each stem I will throw in the scrog net and then flip to flower.

Disaster strikes!

I have had some problems with electricity the last few days. Our DB board has been tripping on odd occasions and at really early hours so my flower tent had been sitting for a few hours at maximum humidity, like 80%+.

Unfortunately this has caused two of the KmintZ colas to develop bud rot and they have been lost as a result.

I have had already tapered off the nutrients to near zero so I think I will cut the reservoir feed tomorrow and try let the pots dry out then make the harvest happen.

I have pruned a little bit of the ZxP plants in the Organic Tent™. I like the shape I have managed to get thus far with some simple LST. I have decided to flip them to flower today and will add a net in a day or two to help manage the upcoming stretch period.

Latest harvest is dried and jarred, and the numbers are in! I will update the first post with the totals.

ZxP x2 - 65g

KmintZ x4 - 159g

I'm busy giving the KmintZ a cheeky tester now. It has a diesel, gassy odor. Even just after a week cure it already smokes well, but it still has a bit of a grassy taste. The high is slow to come, but it hits relatively well. This strain also seems to give me a hectic apatite. However, it doesn't quite hit the mark for me, so it will likely be dumped from the stable.

That means the only strains remaining in my stable are the ZxP and Wedding Cake. Speaking of the Wedding Cake, check the frost development on the leaves below. I have to wear a long sleeved hoodie when working with the Wedding Cake or else I get absolutely covered sticky with resin. The terpenes coming off of it are also fantastic.

Lastly I'd like to give an update on the Organic Tent™. It is currently 12 days into flower and is looking great. I've got a good spread going with each branch of the respective manifolds and they are beginning to push flower pistols. I seem to have a consistent 4-5 tight stems per branch which should be more than enough for some solid buds to develop from. There are no stems growing from below the net whatsoever.

ZxP is 8 weeks tomorrow and the Wedding Cake is 7 weeks. The ZxP is looking ripe for the picking, so I will probably turn the taps off tonight. The Wedding Cake still looks a bit green and glassy so it will keep going, maybe through to 9 weeks.

My Organic Tent™ is at 3 weeks into flower and is pushing some good flower already. I am going to bump up the Biobizz ratios a bit. I have been alternating between feeds and fresh water so far. I am impressed with the results of the Biobizz nutes.

fok me, this a fan leaf bottom right covered in frost? 🤤

Indeed sir, I am very happy with the performance of the Wedding Cake. The last run I did of it I was still selecting phenos and this was the top pick out of the bunch that I could finally do a proper run of. The frost and terpenes are top class, although it does lack somewhat in bud size. I'd like to do a manifold/top of it to see if I can improve the yield.

your organic grow is looking 💪 this is not your first go at organic hey?

First time ever using organic nutes/Biobizz. I call it Organic Tent™ ironically because personally I would consider a grow true organic if it's just soil, amendments and teas/water. The Biobizz feels like a bit of a cheat 😛

Wow man. Those plants are looking amazing!!. Very very nice.

The scrog is unreal. Welldone on the cleanup. You are not going to be dissapointment with the yield. It looks really good dude. One thing I need to try is to move over to BioBizz nutes. Im still on the T.A. Tripart train and have alot of liters to get through. Will switch over sometime when all my other stuff is done. Thanks for the inspiration.

hahahah this is true, cz it's already formulated nutrient line with a schedule, although one does not follow the schedule to a T otherwise it would make big kak.

imagine following the biobizz schedule, plants will catch fire or some shit, but their schedule calls for like 10× the amount of nutrients you really need + half the stuff you don't even need 😅

full organic I feel is building your own soil. a few inert mediums as a base, compost from a self maintained compost heap, mostly clean water with a microbe tea / dry organic ammendment on occasion.

hahah yeah I haven't even found any phenos worth keeping, still searching! 😁

grew a Sour Lemon OG by Emerald Triangle Genetics that has a damn nice citrus / cat piss taste that kinda burns my nose in a good way when smoking it. like a tingle sensation that I can't get enough of, I guess it's a terpene my body reacts to quite well.

grew a big batch then dropped the cut, my search will probably be never ending! 🤣 I feel like after I had a big batch of one strain I get ovet it real quick. I prefer smoking something diffetent each time rather than smoking the same thing the whole time, even if it's really good I become so used to the taste, smell and feel it becomes like water to me.

I got my hands on some new phenos, way too many different strains to get to, will be running some Forbidos, Grape Diamonds, Canna Health #21 and Zweet Inzanity cuts after my batch that's in veg now. then got a run lined up aftet that too. and the batch in veg at the moment is all new to me aswell , so I don't even know if I am going to want to keep them, all I know is I am already planned to drop them 🤣

A few things to take into consideration. I am using Biobizz with just the Organic Tent™ (4 plants) and I am also using the full range; Root Juice, Fish Mix, Bio Grow, Bio Bloom, Top Max, Acti Vera and Bio Heaven. It can get pretty pricey if buying retail. I happened to have quite a bit of the above Biobizz products because I had bought it wholesale some time ago with the intention of reselling but didn't quite manage to sell all of it, so I decided to just give it a shot in a personal grow to see what all the hubbub is about.

I would still probably go for TA because it just works. It's consistent, fewer products and cheaper.

Fully agreed, and when I'm done with the Biobizz I'd like to look into this. I've been reading up on KIS organics and have been listening a bit to their podcast with Tad Hussay called Cannabis Cultivation and Science. They provide some really great insight in how to grow organically and cheaply without compromising on quality, but it's a science and I feel you really gotta know what you're doing to prevent any headaches. Which I guess is why Biobizz has it's place in the organic world because it is indeed technically organic and basically plug and play, whereas mixing your own soil might take some trial and error. I am willing to give it a shot seeing as I have multiple tents so I wouldn't be left out completely in the cold if something were to falter.

Awesome. Thanks for the info dude. Here I am thinking it is only 3 bottles just like TA Tripart. Thats alot of juice to remember to put in. I also used to just use living soils and had the tripart just sitting there. Until one day I decided to switch over and have never looked back. I prefer the TA Tripart now. Easy to use and just like you said....It works. I should maybe get a couple small bottles of the Biobizz range as I go and maybe one day I will have the same thought process. Maybe I will switch to BioBizz and never look back. But until that day, I will TriPart it all the way.🙏

AWWEEEHH bru! I would be very keen to see this one, Tad Hussey is definitely one of those guys who really know what they are doing. Ya Biobizz is not exactly organic but its certified organic, so that what really matters lol.

When growing organic living soil, you just want to ensure there is as much nutrient cycling as possible, there are lots of ways to get the system moving some what, but is nothing like instantly available nutrients in ionic form. Then also, having enough nutrients for what ever purpose or style of growing you intent on doing? pots sizes and veg times?

Have you thought about any recipes that you would like to maybe try?

I don't think I'll outright do my own part by part mix of soil so I think to start out I will go for Living Organic Mix by Organics Matters with a 1/4 mix of worm castings, then a handful of Talborne Vita Grow for veg, then add some Vita Flower along with a top dress of the above at flip to flower. Myco to also be used at every transplant.

Then for the most part I will just feed with plain water.

This is a great idea bud, I think that will honestly work out quite well, I hear the talborne amendments give great results! I’ll keep an eye out for it 👍🏻🙏🏼

Next batch of ZxP has been chopped this morning. 5 colourful plants in all, and some nice full buds hanging off the branches. I am going to slightly modify my usual harvest routine. Usually I would remove all the big fan leaves and then lay the branches on a dry net in a closed empty grow tent. This time around I am going to hang the whole plants upside-down in an empty grow tent. My intention is to slow down the drying process and to put a little more emphasis into a proper cure, seeing as I have some good stock for once and am not in such a rush to get my fix 8-)

This is looking to be some of the best ZxP I have grown yet. Now to get a full tent of it!

Today I harvested the Wedding Cake 🎂 just past 8 weeks into flower.

The fade was looking substantial and I wasn't going to get anymore with the bud development. The PM was also starting to get a little overbearing. The frost on the sugar leaves and bud is looking real nice and the terpenes are fantastic! Very sweet vanilla scents coming through. I am very excited to give this a smoke.

Things to improve on; I think there is a lot I can still do with this strain. First off I want to train this strain like I have been doing the others. I think in this way I will get some more consistent and larger bud size. You can also see how the bottom branches did the flop again, so better use of the net will also be necessary.

Otherwise, I think it's a better run than the last Wedding Cake I did. I've taken down a lot of notes and I think I will be able to nail it on the next one.

Organic Tent™ has just hit week 5. There is already a little bit of fade developing, I'm pretty sure it's because of the cold. Night time temps in the tent are occasionally hitting 17C.

The terpenes smell very crisp, sharp and sweet. The buds are also looking plump and healthy. Here's to the tail end of flowering! Will I see you again, PM Bro and Mr. Bud Rot? Hope not!

I have also recently finished trimming the latest ZxP harvest. The buds look very nxa. I want to cure this batch for a full 2 months before even doing a tester 😛 Next I must trim the Wedding Cake harvest, it is still busy hanging and drying.

I have just weighed the recent harvest of the 5x ZxP plants. The total for this was 188g. Better yield than the KmintZ even though it was a whole one plant less, which is cool. The bud is looking pretty quality too so I am satisfied. I do want to start bumping these per plant harvests up though.

Your trimming is soooo good man. You really present these flowers the best way they can possibly be presented. This was a really good grow and harvest man well done :investigating

Hours and hours in trim jail 🥲

I also find that using a pair of pruning scissors that do not have any springs seriously helps when you are doing multiple hours in a row.

My personal favourite pair of pruners are the Chikamasa B-500. If kept clean, the Japanese steel will last you a lifetime.
