  1. @Ill_Evan wow man, those buds look amazing. That wedding cake is looking Keep it up dude
  2. I am really new to this whole growing scene, so take my input with a pinch of salt. My opinion on local breeders would be on the same or similar perspective as for most things I like purchasing in SA. I am always willing to give my business to a local business over an international business in basically everything else, so why wouldn't I want to support a local breeder over an international breeder. I do also feel, when dealing with smaller businesses, you build a better relationship as well as getting to know the person behind the name. This is of course, if the local breeders had or would provide more information or history of their grows etc. (Don't want to be buying an expensive seed with no info and expect a fire bud at the end grow) - Obviously if I was growing fire buds in general that is Also, seeing as they are the ones doing all the hard work. The passion and love for everything about growing is still there, which should come through on their product. Where possibly, with some of those Huge companies overseas, how many of them are actually still growing their own seeds or growing in general? Do they have their work force doing everything for them now and are they just tasting the end product and keeping their name on there and feeling satisfied? Just my 2cents, local is always lekker
  3. EPIC!!! Good Job @Ill_Evan Looks awesome
  4. For sure @PsyCLown I had never thought about it until recently. To think of it from another perspective. You have spent a lot of money on everything from the medium, to seeds, to nutrients and so on. Why not go the extra mile and bud wash before drying and curing to insure all your cash and efforts have not been a waste, also seeing as a lot of the people have said that it would have no impact to the potency. On the opposite side of things though, I doubt I have ever smoked a bud washed bud ever in my life and I haven't died yet But I guess this is the beauty of doing it for yourself now, you get to test all these different techniques until you find the way which fits your needs @Slartibarfast let us know how it goes
  5. This is all so interesting to read as well as the different perspectives. I have been watching a lot of videos and reading up in the recent week/weeks as I am coming near harvest. I have also been in 2 minds with a bud wash, as I have run into a slight bit of PM on a few leaves. Doesn't look to be on the bud sites yet, however, I am still new at this, so could not be looking carefully enough So with the PM in mind, with the googling, I came across washing your buds. I was first blown away as I thought this must be a joke and thought, this would affect the potency, taste etc. But as far as I have read, it doesn't seem to have any negative impact and read so many people saying for outdoor, you should definitely bud wash as anything could have blown into a bud or a sneaky worm created his home in there XD I do believe, if you do run into any pest or PM issues, it should be treated prior to harvest time, but there could be a time when this stuff comes in at the worst time e.g. a week before harvest (then possibly doing a bud wash would be the solution here with the hydrogen peroxide) Obviously, I have never tried this and cannot say yay or nay. But thought I would add here as it was something I have been looking into due to the recent PM issue I have run into.
  6. Its currently region blocked, so you can only play on ZA Servers. The ZA guys are pretty decent. Some of them are crazy good. One or 2 of them stream on Twitch as far as I am aware.
  7. Fully agree bro. If you into hardcore online survival games, check out Escape From Tarkov.
  8. Yeah, that game does check awesome. But I have learned not to get all hyped over a game before it is actually released. As many games have failed horribly once released XD
  9. @Ill_Evan Awesome Yeah, Escape from Tarkov is one epic hardcore game. Really enjoy it and the gun fights are so intense, if you dont die in 1 shot XD
  10. Yeah, I am mainly a PC gamer. I jam games like, csgo, Rouge Company, Escape From Tarkov, Rust... I sent a friend request @Ill_Evan My code for anyone to add, 33424440 Send invite @TheUltimateNoob if keen
  11. Ok cool, Thanks @Stinger96, @Bakstein420 and @Psylecta for that info. Will give that a try on the test subject
  12. Ok cool, thanks @Stinger96. This is outdoor, so should be getting about that now? Or should I be taking the plant inside and sticking it in a complete darkness area?
  13. Thanks for the reply @Prom It is a slow process, but the time I have had, has been so awesome Any idea if the test subject plant is ready to be chopped yet? Also, is it actually re-vegging at the moment with the new type of sprout on the end of the forming bud or is this a normal thing to happen?
  14. Hey Cannafam Sorry about the lack of updates on this grow, life has been super busy and I havent been able to give the ladies the attention they needed. But trying to get things back on track the last few weeks. Been setting up a sort of Greenhouse/garden home for the ladies as well as some additional plants I will post some pics of the garden home in the next update or 2 and you guys can give me some feedback on it As for the ladies, I think its about 11 weeks in since the sprouted. Sunset Sherbet She has impressed me the most with the growth overall. Banana Kush This lady has some strange growth. A few of the new growth a few weeks ago, almost came out like it was under developed in a way. So those few little bottom branches, I ended up breaking off to allow her to focus on the rest of the plant. Bruce Banner This lady is short and bushy. I decided to do a very Slight LST on the bottom branches, just to allow as much airflow and sunlight onto the rest of the plant. But overall, I have been really enjoying the grow. All three ladies have started shooting their pistils out and starting to get a new aroma Now that they have been in the garden enclosure, the smell is hanging around in there nicely As for my test subject. Do you think she is ready to harvest? I tried to get the best pics of the trichomes but my photo skills are shocking haha Please let me know your guys thoughts on whether to chop her or leave her. It almost looks like she is trying to start growing again? At the end of a few bottom branches, she has sprouted more shoots in a way. Googled it, it is possible that its fox tailing? But I have no idea
  15. Awesome stuff @Gnarls. Looking forward to seeing this grow and all the best
