Let me check if I have a spare, if so you're welcome to it!
They do not root soo nicely, the leaves go crispy quickly in the dome and they take their time to root - I think I have at least one spare, if so it's yours! πŸ˜„Β

Otherwise will take as soon as they're big enough.

@PsyCLownhow is the Twisted Helix coming along? That is one of the tastiest strains I've grown indoors and outdoors the taste is consistent! But also one of the strains that makes me anxious lol.Β

@Dr. Greenhas a lovely cut that I grew and will be growing again outdoors this season.Β

Β

I must double check but I think I only put it into flower 1 August - so still in the pre-flowering phase and due to a defoliation as all the plants which went in on 1 August are super bushy with leaves for days. lol

Β

I am keen to see some pics when @John StonedwellΒ has dried and trimmed his. Even more excited to get some bud from the Twisted Helix now as well! πŸ˜„ Β

@CoolJΒ So this is the Twisted Helix, it went into flower around a month ago. Sorry, the light right above it made it a bit tricky to take nice pictures.

Β

I then got distracted by the sugarcane behind it, went into flower the same time as the Twisted Helix.

I am glad to see the frost is being packed on, expecting to see more frost from all strains over the next 2 weeks as well as buds to develop more and get bigger.

I do still have an issue with fucking root aphids, as well as fungus gnats. More worried about these darn root aphids, just hoping these plants pull throughout without taking a knock and I can harvest them before major issues appear. Honestly not sure how bad these root aphids may affect the plants - the plants in veg do not look good but I am sorting those out. The ones in veg are yellow and pale and the stems are super purple - like a mag deficiency. This is consistent with what I have read about symptoms the plants show when one has root aphids - I have seen some mention bud size is reduced and density is also not there when flowering plants with root aphids.Β Β πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

  • 2 weeks later...

So I took down some plants this weekend, didn't take pictures before unfortunately.

Was quite unhappy with the Black Cherry Pie and then time was not on my side so focused on getting the job done as opposed to taking pictures (sticky fingers and a phone is also not pleasant).

Β

I took down the following:

  • Black Cherry Pie
  • Remo Chemo
  • Slurrijug
  • Jelly Breath
  • Bananium

Β

A lot of strains look quite shitty when compared to the Slurricane & Bananium.

I will take pics of the bud once its dried and trimmed. Yield on the Black Cherry Pie appears to be quite poor. Keeping in mind, I got the Black Cherry Pie and Remo Chemo from a friend in small plastic pots and kept them as such - I can without a doubt see that something was up compared to my other plants in their 20L fabric pots. The root system on the plants from my friend seemed under developed in comparison

Β

Last night I managed to take some pics of some plants which should be ready to be cut in the next few weeks. They're looking good, at least I think so! After the BCP and Remo Chemo, I was a bit demotivated and seeing this brought a smile to my face πŸ™‚Β

Platinum Punch - dare I say, looking pretty good when compared to the Sugarcane? I have 2 more phenos of this strain to grow out and compare as well. Certainly a keeper - just need to see which phenos is the chicken dinner. The way it packs on the frost reminds me of the Bananium though.

@Naughty.PsychonautΒ I do not have a rosin press, yet at least. So never pressed them.

Β

Popped seeds as @greenkushΒ said, busy narrowing down the phenos though.

In House Genetics put out some seriousΒ πŸ”₯Β Not the cheapest seeds, but really worth it provided you get a good strain from them (not all of their stuff is the same). Their morphology is quite low in comparison and unlike a lot of other breeders, you typically do not need to go through multiple packs to get a great pheno... Or perhaps we're just extremely lucky. I don't think we can be this lucky though considering how many packs we bought and seeds we've popped.

well shit, funny how that works hey! when you cough up theΒ πŸ’°Β your chances of luck go up!! it's like the game is rigged πŸ˜…Β

yeah Inhouse is a name we have all heard a bunch! nice stable genetics and I gotta say you guys selected some good ones πŸ†Β

Unfortunately with capitalism, pay to play is often part of the game.

Β

In House Genetics are not ridiculously expensive when compared to some other breeders out there. I suppose I have gotten use to it, the fact we split packs helps in terms of price. A lot easier to split a pack and cough up a portion of the price than to pay the full pay as a single grower.

Β

I have also said this before, just because you are paying a lot for a pack of seeds does not mean you're going to get someΒ πŸ”₯ strain or pheno. Not all of the In House Genetics stuff is amazeballs. The nice thing is that their packs are easily available locally, unlike some other breeders who I want to try where the local stock is super limited and often the lesser known strains are what is available or not available locally at all.

So a bit of an update, took these photos on Saturday but didn't get a chance to post them until now - been busy trimming some plants which came down.

So not going to lie, the plants I took down really did not come out very nice.

The bud was lacking frost, yield was really low and popcorn for days and the most bizarre part is the pistils went a dark colour and did not compliment the bud and made it looks even worse. Sigh

Β

Here are some pics, not the best pics but not the best bud either. I feel the root aphids may be partly to blame here.

Will likely be taking down more plants this weekend though, hoping these plants turn out better - they look good at least. Will check trichomes towards the end of the week. Might give some another week if needed.
