Hi folks.
So starting week 8 tomorrow and counting the days for the first chop. The terpene profile of the ladies are really starting to pull through and some very unique smells coming from the tent.
Buds are starting to fatten up and some wicked nitrogen deficiency pulling through on most plants. I might switch up my nutes next grow and go with BioGrow instead of Seagro.

@Golden-Goose hey man.
Very excited for the drop. Will the seeds be feminised or regulars?
And how many seeds per pack?
Thanx

Looking great @John Stonedwell. As you scrolling through the pictures are just getting better. Nice growing bud.
Thank you very much man. I still have so much more to learn and this forum has provided a lot of answers to the questions I have.

@Chris Jay hey bro. Thanx again for sharing the information. I was able to support and get myself a copy. Looks like one hell of a read with its basis in science and fact and the courtesy of a local flavour to tie it all together.
Again thank you

@PsyCLown oh hellz yes!! Thanx for the share man. Feeling the midweek vibes with this fire mix.
His voice reminds me of Pete Tong... used to listen to a lot of his BBC Radio 1 sessions. Always dropped wicked tracks on his show.
Yeah and that Mogwai track is class... and yes, the world would be a better place. Paul Stamets would agree

Absolutely love this music video. Fun in the sun even though it smells so loud

@HappyGrower my friend that is the "we don't speak it's name" issue that most growers get when facing excessive humidity and lack of airflow.
Almost all growers have had a run in with White Powdery Mold. Its exceptionally difficult to control once it's on the plant (especially if the plant is in flower) preventative measures is the best medicine.
Some of the folks on the forum would recommend a bud wash after the harvest. So you don't necessarily have to loose your harvest.
It looks like your plants are still quite a long way away from harvest time and that infestation looks rather on the bad side... I would cut my losses and start fresh.
Good luck man, I am sure some forum members might be able to guide you better.
Happy growing

@Cannabist very good idea to keep the budget in check. Those bags will do the job for air pruning and drainage.
If I am not mistaken I think @Onion is doing a grow with those fabric bags at the moment so he might be able to give a good indication of its efficacy.

@Gloriosa superba best thing ever man. We went for the full week in 2018.. really nothing else compares.
Like minded people totally stripped of the societal expectations and pressures we deal with on a daily basis.
No commodities except for Ice and the gift of giving. Will most definitely go again once the Rona allows.

Morning folks.
So at the start of week 6 of flower I can already start seeing the buds fattening up real nicely. Tricome development is also on the increase. The smell is also quite distinct and leaves me with a smile..
It is clear for the flowering progress that I will most probably do a staggered harvest. Purple Queen has a recommended flowering time of 56 days/8 weeks but I will keep an eye and probably take her to 9 weeks. And my special clone might go up to 11 weeks.
Upper Cut seems to be setting the pace with Tricome, smell and bud development. Oni hit it out of the park with this strain.
I am quite excited to wrap up this grow and savour all the different flavours (and truth be told I am itching for my next grow)

I totally agree with @Prom reputation is key.
I am a sucker for great cannabis genetics and price rarely features as long as I have a good understanding of the breeder and their breeding practice.
It's quite easy to explain. I initially only focused on international breeders due to the "trust factor". Tried and tested in the States and Europe so must be good enough for my tent. Then I joined this forum and realised that we have our own breeders with exceptional knowledge and skill to produce some fire genetics.
I received my @Totemic order today and was very happy and surprised to see some extra seeds from one of his projects. I will run his gear alongside some InHouse and Ripper seeds in my next run. I dropped Royal Queen Seeds from that run to make space for his fire.
So in a nutshell. If the breeder knows his shit, has great stable genetics for a solid lineage and has a passion for the plant I would rather support the local scene.

@Chris Jay great post man. Will definitely want to read a local, traditional interpretation and presentation of the historical and cultural significance of the plant!!!

They are also crossed with the In House Genetics Slurricane and Blunicorn so should be some nice sparkle from the trichomes too.
I think dropping some of the Royal Queen seeds is not a bad idea, grow them next time around.
Yeah I saw that and the man behind the breeding knows his stuff. So it's sorted then, next run will be Totemic and the rest.
Thanx for the feedback bro! Much appreciated!

I think you will be very happy with Ripper Seeds. Keen to see that run
Yes sir. Totally in agreement!! Very excited for the 2 Rippers.. they have some good strong genetics
I ran the Washing Machine by Ripper in the previous grow. She did everything basically twice as much than the other 5 plants. Loved HST, grew like crazy, amazing bud structure, bud to leaf ratio, pungent smell etc.
So a keen eyed buddy of mine took a cutting and made her a mother and this is what he came up with... I helped him with the trim a week ago.

@Totemic thank you very much man. I hold your opinion in high regard. I was thinking of perhaps dropping a Royal Queen Seed or 2 and include some of your feminised seeds. And I see you have them on special so I will maybe switch up the lineup a bit. I was thinking of the Palomino and Tortoni as they have that epic Chocolope NL of yours in the lineage.

Hi folks.
So the flowering is coming along rather nicely and I started week 5 of flower a couple of days ago.
I am very impressed and excited by the tricome build up on the Purple Queen and the Upper Cut. Happy that we kept a cut of the Upper Cut. I am already excited by the next run even though I haven't even finished up with this one.. already have the line up more or less sorted, looking at squeezing in a Twisted Helix from InHouse genetics... and after that run will try some Totemic magic.

@PsyCLown yes yes bro. Absolute class those 2 Austrians. New album was off the hook. They also have a new single out "No Tomorrow".... epic....
Your Hospital podcast was the perfect Friday vibe, thanx good sir.
Some other respectable folks whose beats I dig are:
Nero, Pendulum, Flume, Sub Focus, Worakls, Nto, Joachim Pastor, Stephan Bodzin, DJ Shadow, Miike Snow, RJD2, Stimming to name a few.. I could go on forever
Then I also like metal, alternative, dubstep, progressive house, electro, classical and basically anything that sounds nice.
Camo & Crooked actually did an amazing set with the reb bull symphony last year. Magic how they melted the sounds together.
And then also a last shoutout to Goldie.... D&B Godfather

Sooo I know I posted an update just a couple of days ago but DAMN... I just love flowering cannabis so I thought I would share some more pics.
I take out the pots every time I water to feel the weight of the pots to determine the amount of water needed. So this gave me a great opportunity to take some 1 on 1 shots. The clones I am running in the middle of the tent have also started to show some nice Tricome build up. Super excited to see what the next couple of weeks will produce...

Hi folks.
So it's almost time for my last update on this diary. I am currently 8 and a half weeks into flower and will most probably start harvesting this weekend.
I am using the breeder guideline for flowering time as well as my overall perception of bud development, calyx structure and pistils. Wanna try and do it old school without the microscope and tricome assessment. With the naked eye you can still see a progressive change of colour.
On another note I found out that my special clone is an Ethos Crescendo RBXV2 what an amazing score from a great buddy.
