Hi fellow growers, just read through this thread and came up with an idea to ensure that all participants grow a similar or same phenotype... Maybe it has already been brought up but what about every participant gets a clone from one motherplant? Would that be possible from a logistical point of view?

@SkunkPharm, man these are beautiful. The itch to grow indoors grows when I see these. The smell must be amazing!

Unfortunately you get corruption everywhere there’s money to be made. Dinafem is my absolute favourite as everything I grew from them turned out to be how it was described on their website. Surely I would rather support a small farmer than a faceless big company, but then again I need to be sure to get the same quality.

@afternoon blazerblazerI personally would go for the White paint, but only as I used it in the beginning with success. Never used sun visors, so wait till one of the others chime in.

I only discovered that there’s something like washing your buds after I found some PM on my plants while harvesting. I searched the web to find out what can be done about it other than chucking it into the bin. I found the following video and did everything this guy suggested to do and it worked great. I also kept a bud that wasn't effected by PM and dried it along with my washed buds. I compared the washed bud vs the unwashed bud and couldn't tell a difference.

@Ill_Evan haha I can so relate to your concerns regarding a fire hazard. When I still grew indoors I was always so relived to come home from work to a home that wasn't burned down. @afternoon blazer all the best to you man! Hope you'll get a nice harvest. There's nothing better than some bud grown by yourself.

Your soil looks like it contains lot's of bark etc which cannabis doesn't like so much in my experience. What soil are you using?

@ajcapetown I've been to Jamie's garden shop last week and he had wormcastings and alfalfa/lucerne mulch available. Maybe give them a call before you go there to make sure it's still in stock. Also saw that futurama has lot's of ingredients now. Saw they have alfalfa meal which seems to be similar to lucerne. I am busy with a similar project.

Hi fellow growers, my dog broke off one of my San Pedro babies... Now I am not sure if it's better to let the "wound" dry out before planting it again or should I rather cut of the bottom part with a clean knife and let it dry out then? Any San Pedro growers here to help me out?

@afternoon blazer hope it's fine that I respond. Check out the living soil from "just cannabis". This soil should provide your plants with everything they need.

@Stinger96 yes, I agree. One only needs to add one wrong ingredient and the whole grow might fail or yield and quality suffer. I've used freedom farms and biobizz for 3 - 4 years now so I feel it's time to take my growing skills to the next level. Also freedom farms can get a bit costly if you like to grow many variaties. For me there are so many upsides to using super soil. It's not just growing in a way as sustainable as possible, I also like the idea not having to pay for fertilizer (accept for the additives for the soil of course). In the end the only thing I need to pay for are the genetics. Lastly I imagine it to be a very rewarding experience, creating the soil, growing the plants and give the harvest a good cure. And yes I'll ask a lot of questions ... Jamies garden shop is also just around the corner and looking at what he has to offer I am sure he'll also be able to provide me with some valuable information. I haven't had the chance to visit his shop. Ok I got to stop rambling on otherwise I'll write a book lol

@Stinger96 Thanks for pointing me to the right direction. I think I already saw that threat, but only briefly. There are so many questions I have as I try to create as many ingredients as possible by myself. I am thinking of creating a new threat in the organic section soon.

Thanks man, I have grown six of them recently. 5 of them grew quite uniform and one looked totally different. It's an awesome daytime smoke as promised by dutch passion. However if you smoke enough she will make you sleep like a baby :).

Thanks guys, good to know I am in good company. At the moment I am preparing for next outdoor season and enjoy my cured harvest ...and with all the Covid stuff going on I have more than enough time on my hands to do some online research. My aim is to get the best quality out of the genetics I got. Quantity is not important for me. Last season I started with some photoperiod plants and some Autos in the end of September. That way i could harvest twice. The Autos came down around christmas and the photoperiod seeds where harvested in the end of March/ beginning of April. Below you'll find some pictures of my last grow. Dinafem - Purple Afghan Kush Ethos - Inzane in the membrane Dutch Passion - Auto Brooklyn Sunrise Dutch Passion - Auto White Widdow I can really recommend all plants above. The Inzane is one of my new favorite Sativas with a trichome production out of this world. In the one picture you can see that I mainlined the plant. I do that to all my photoperiod plants as all budsites get a similar amount of light and also it's not so vulnerable to the wind we get here in the Western cape. I look forward to start my grow diary here as soon as spring is here.

Hi, I wish you good luck with germinating your seed. I only use the jiffy pellets and it always worked out for me (and I don't even PH the water). I'm sure you'll see it sprouting soon.
