  1. LOL... I really don't want to
  2. I don't know hey.... I like to think of myself as a pretty good solder, but those solder points are just so fine, you would need a pretty fancy iron and a very pointy tip. And the way the boards are designed makes it hard for single diodes to go... Diodes are pretty specific and if they work once, chances are that they will work the remainder of their lifespan without issue...even longer if you don't run them at max the whole time. I am actually trying to think of someone who has had a few diodes go... And I really cant think of anyone.
  3. You just need to miss one mite and the problem remains.... Increasing your C02 will ward them away, but you need quite a lot of Co2 for it to become effective. A skottle braai with an open flame will work. Seal your garage, put all your plants in there... And burn that bottle for a few hours with the garage closed... Temps will spike, humidity will spike up... And hopefully you can keep the most co2 you can in the garage... Alternatively you can move premises, preferably intercontinentally
  4. I must say that in veg, the plants, even big ones, really don't chow that much and you can get away with practically nothing... But in bloom, especially the first few weeks... My word do they eat!! Root mass explodes, stem elongation, hormone changes... The plant goes through puberty and eats like a teenager who has never seen food before. But then after a few weeks feeding stabilizes and slows down a bit. So I like to add MPK boosters in early bloom and then again closer to the end of flower just incase.
  5. Yup, pretty much... Although, it will still be quite some time before they go to flower... Might have enough time to take cuttings and flip the cuttings and see.
  6. Okay so small update... I have stripped most of the big leaves off and I have topped all of them. I am trying to encourage the 4 main colas this way and so far so good I am okay with them potentially growing slower due to this as I actually have no space for them... So here they are!
  7. I was also battling to keep my res Temps down and came to this same conclusion, stop growing in summer Luckily now my Temps are more stable. Sounds like what happens in early bloom. How big are your res buckets?
  8. Awesome news!! Those res Temps are still a bit high even with the bennies, but there will be positive improvements. Even if you can just knock off 2 degrees you will be in a safe range again
  9. Okay update time! The ladies have pushed through the stretch and have started forming budsites. Will be doing the last pyrol neem spray and then it's onward to harvest! I flipped them on the 28th of December, so this day 16 in bloom and I think they are doing alright
  10. Yea... Bucks is a hurdle in this 3 months of January... The bloom tent is in the middle of the room so it isn't so affected by outside heat. We have had a few belters at over 35 degrees and the inside Temps remained below 30. I need to push through this grow, and then I can get a few extra toys
  11. Sjoe!! What a nice catchup since I last posted!! @GGG i'm glad the milk spray worked for you... Yogurt has the right stuff in it I'm, so I'm sure it would work in place of milk... Just don't go using fruits of the Forrest flavour or any flavour lol. Milk is just a butt load cheaper. I really feel for you guys, here in Jozi I have been able to keep bloom Temps between 25 and 29, and humidity never goes above 60%, and that's lights off humidity lol, lights on and it drops to room RH which is around 40-50.. Without aircon and without dehumidifier
  12. Good move bro beans! I have a small UPS that runs a few air pumps, just so that I don't get caught with my pants down
  13. The only thing you need to worry about is it getting dry... Keeping the compost moist would be the only concern really... That and minor air exchange, so I wouldn't put it in a sealed storage container unless you open it at least once a week. Other than that, you're good to go!
  14. Pure black sounds amazing! Lol I can almost smell it from here!! Luckily, you aren't aiming for any quantity of nutes in the Teas, if it was for a soil mix, then sure, but for teas, you don't need to make sure that the compost has nutes... As long as it smells right, it will work
  15. Looking great!! Nice And frothy, generally a sign of a more fungal dominant brew, otherwise, Earth worm compost makes a good foam. Note though that foam isn't an indication of a good tea. Just some additives foam and some don't... You will see a buildup on the sides of the bucket... That is the stuff you are looking for. Let us know how your ladies react!., you should see positive visual improvement after a few hours.
  16. What's up Greenbeans!!! Plants are looking super healthy and happy. So I take it that you're an outdoor man
  17. I guess that's fine. You have already grown a ton of it so a brew process isn't needed... But in saying that, you don't need to be shy. Not sure how much you made... But 50ml a pop should be good maybe an hour or 2 before you use the tea should be great
  18. @DankFiend the SOTM is brutal... You have to throw your best otherwise, you're only 2nd bestevery edge counts
  19. I wouldn't say I sent the wrong link... But this is a 222 page topic and will probably take a few hours to read, and then a few days to absorb. Heisenberg is part of this thread and it's a banger. This is the post that allowed me to carry on growing and not give up. I had.... Lol... Have... Zero bucks to spend generally, so starting over with new equipment and seeds was not really an option I could viably consider. I *HAD* to make a plan and figure it out. I realized that there is no way I am the first person in the world to experience this shit. International forums are a great source of info. https://www.rollitup.org/t/dwc-root-slime-cure-aka-how-to-breed-beneficial-microbes.361430/
  20. You can just add a MPK or bloom booster if you need to. But I would rather mix the MPK /BB in with your normal feed as once the tea is diluted the EC will drop to a point where the extra phosphorus and potassium would be almost negligible. For you to use the tea as a bloom booster, the levels of PK will need to be so high that I rate it would affect the microbes negatively
  21. @SmokeyZero @Mambawana once the root issues are resolved I would like to talk about the other benifits of the ingredients... Maybe we tackle them one at a time. When you know what you are putting into the tea does, then it becomes easier to come up with other recipes or simpler recipes for a specific application or improvement
  22. I have never used that before, not sure what microbes are in there... The lactobacillus type bacteria are the important ones for the tea and root rot/slime issues. So if it has that, then you might not even need the EMProSoil...
  23. Bro... I have been crippled by both... Rot... And slime... They both come around the same time. But after the research I did... I made a tea, took me 48 hours, and then fed the plants.... Within 3 days I had new fresh glistening white new growth. The damaged roots are never going to come back, so removing the dead matter is a good idea once you are back on the road to recovery. Since then I have never had a moments issue with my roots... Okay I lie... I had one issue.... If I had more than 1 plant in a res, the damn roots would grow into each other, and separating them for transplant is such a bitch lol. I was lifting my res lid daily to keep the roots from growing into each other
  24. @Mambawana Root rot is cyanobactria... Pythium is another problem, but tea helps that too. https://forum.grasscity.com/threads/heisenberg-tea-summary-cheap-easy-beneficial-bacteria-to-cure-root-issues.958893/ This is one of the sources of my success in beating root rot and the dreaded slime!!! Note, the ingredients are American, but I have investigated every ingredient and researched every ingredient in depth. My favorite being humic acids and mycorrhizal fungi. At one point I was not making any teas and just throwing a bit of each ingredient into the res, and it worked great!! But I started using up my ingredients way to fast, and needed to buy more, so I went back to making my ingredients stretch in teas. If you want healthy roots. Mycorrhizal fungi is your best friend... But if you have issues, the EMProSoil has the right bacteria to fight the problems.
