That's a cool idea@Dank Sustainable and regenerative at the same time. If you've got the patience it saves you quite a few Ronts as well, by not having to buy other materials. Neccesity is the mother of invention.....had to make a quick plan with our koi's during a move and decided the cheapest option was to sacrifice a 4500lt Jojo to accommodate them.(equivalent fibreglass koipond R20k) Chopped the top 80cm off, bottom part countersunk became the new 3800lt koipond and top part was repurposed into a compost container, into which goes 90% of all our garden and kitchen waste. Two of our Chocolope clones going golden with the colours of autumn. Was hoping for a bit more purple but doubt our min temps will do the job. Trichs are still a bit clear, have to wait another week or so. 3-4. Mango/Swazi mama that was revegged and is now flowering out. Rock hard pungent buds on this lady. 5-6. A petite Fruitpunch lady doing her thing, still a while to go for her. With all this lockdown shenanigans I managed at long last to get my hands on some organic food for the ladies. (All Sold out - awaiting stock) Suppliers recieved stock for the soil making. Got a decent sized(about 200lt)batch mixed up with added kraal manure, dosed generously with AACT and covered it up. Another 120lt of compost from our pile and we should be good. Our whole garden runs on this soil, from the sweet potatoes to the onions, chilli's and herbs. Starting an experiment with grenadillas in the greenhouse(where the vervets can't steal them) Brewed a kick ass alcoholic beverage from them before, going to replicate it with my own fruit. Sounds interesting, keen to read the opinions on this. Have used caramel/brown sugar, with decent results. Have blitzed cooked rice into a slurry and used that as carb source or just the water from cooking rice or pasta. Don't see why sugar cane/juice wouldn't work, its a source of carbohydrates for the microbes. The preparation could be labour intense. Afternoon 420SA, Hope all are keeping well in this lockdown. Was quite busy these last few weeks. Got a couple of late finishers doing their thing. 1-3. a Bubblegum sativa lady from 2019 that revegged by herself, her timing was way off. With her 2nd chance she produced some really flavourful buds reeking of ''vicks'' chappies. 4-5. A petite chocolope clone that I cut when cleaning up my comp girl. Just doing her thing, waiting for her trichs to colour. 6. One of my Rudiralis dominant Mango Swazi lady's that also revegged -flowering her out. She produced a number of good clones. Pushing her to go more amber hence the funky leaves. 7. Another Ruderalis dom. 3 leaf Mango Swazi lady doing her thing. Sweet and fruity. 8-11. Our Swazi gold Queens. First ladies I planted in mother earth, they came into theit own. Many clones were cut, some we shared with friends. These ladies also assisted with @420sake 's project to preserve their genetics. Aweh. Pleased to have this lady trimmed and dried and jarred. Was quite an undertaking. Did pay a dash of tax in the way of budrot caused by rain and worms, but that is how the ''Giant cookie'' crumbles. Pretty sure in ideal circumstances she could yield more, but we are quite chuffed with the results. All in all she yielded 487gr dry. Thanks for sharing your beans@Dank. Believe it definitely has benefits. Personally have treated our animals with canna oil for allergies and pain with visible improvements. Know of a number of elderly persons that use cannabis for various ailments from pain/inflammation to parkinsons. At last managed to complete the harvest of this outdoor GKB lady. Spread it out over a couple of days based on trich colours as we tried to aim for the best flavour and potency. Wouldnt have been able to trim all her buds in one day anyway. Mother nature wasn't on our side either, rainy days, butterflies, worms and budrot. Fought them as best we could, but we paid a bit of tax. The buds were sticky with good resin produnction with a refreshing, spicy, herby scent. Will do a dry weight when they go to the jars. Cheers

Howzit We are still harvesting on the big outdoor lady, cut stage 3 today. Stage 1 and 2 are drying nicely. Unfortunately had to pay a bit of tax in the form of budrot due to seasonal changes ect. The greenhouse lady spent 6 days drying and weighed in this morning at 223gr before being jarred. She had a bit of a sneaky advantage I discovered, her roots went straight through the bottom of the fabric bag into mother earth hahaha.[emoji3] . I'll take that bait hahaha.... If theres water, there's fish and I'll give it a go. Used to live in George, near the Garden Route dam. Many peacefull days spent plying the waters and many carp. But enjoy rock and surf and deepsea as well. Tiger fish at Josini on sard was an awesome experience, was a first for me and my eldest son. Keen shore angler as well and don't mind shark and skate just for fun. Nothing beats a good joint on a quiet beach as the sun rises over the ocean.

I start my clones in seedling trays with coco. The water method didnt work for me for some reason. My clones start rooting about 2 to 3 weeks in, but I think if yours look healthy and have roots they should grow. What medium they going into? Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Aweh@Bennie Thanks for the kind words, would love to get my hands on some BB beans one day. I use my own soil, have nothing against commercial or specialist craft soils - they have their place. I have a compost pile so prefer to build my own- self sustainability. As a base I use 2 or 3 different commercial ''potting soils'' but add my own sifted organic compost, perlite, coco and coarse river sand. Amendment wise, bonemeal, wood ash and composted kraal manure if I can get it. Coastal forest leaf mulch and multiple AACT innoculations. Then it cooks for 2 to 3 months, turning every 2 weeks or so - quite a lekker workout. Obviously this lockdown has made things a bit difficult so I have to make due with substitutes- a bit of experimentation and lots of learning going on. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

FF soils are produced in ''batches'' so there could be a number of slight variations. Some plants can take a bit of punishment, while others struggle. It could also be that your plant is just a bit more sensitive. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
