Big tent is looking better in terms of health. Think I am past the worst of the recent issues. I'll start adding the next net layer after I start seeing a little preflower push. Only a couple of days into flower. I will probably do one more final small defoliation soon.

In other news, there is finally some activity happening in the other tents. I have another four ZxP close to being transplanted into some more autopots on standby in the former veg tent. In the Organic Tent™ I have four OMG and two Wedding Cake just getting themselves established still. If my clones/seeds hadn't wrecked during the beginning of Winter I might have been actually pretty close to harvest right now 🥲 but it is what it is. Four months from now it will be a pretty jamming time anyways harvest wise, I am looking forward to what the OMG can do. Wedding Cake is a personal favourite so I also look forward to having some of that again.

1657053302061.thumb.jpg.19cb1906a6c7eb3977a013d5174d04f6.jpg 1657053302044.thumb.jpg.a75e4ae61714fd54505f9fc6af9d9bd2.jpg

I've actually been considering trying to time my next grows so that I do not have anything in deep flower this coming December/January. Not only to avoid what I have found to be the harshest conditions for my setup and strains during the year, but also on costs... and stress. Added bonus is the ability to take a trip for a week without stress if plants are only in veg.

The big tent should have it's current harvest around the end of August, which leaves three months before the beginning of December to push another harvest through. Can do, I must just get the clones running up to harvest timed right. I think as soon as the mothers have enough off-shoots I will start to get them going already.

I don't think I'll get either of the other tents going for another harvest in time once their respective harvests are completed, so I'll expend as much time as I can in developing some sturdy ladies during veg.

One week today into flower for the big tent. Preflower pistols starting to show and the plants are looking healthy. More shades of darker green are showing on the top growth. Normal feeding through the autopots is back on track.

1657520122072.thumb.jpg.7614c2445b67f0e15aef2893fea60268.jpg

I have already topped the plants in the smaller tent but I haven't transplanted them into the autopots yet. Usually I would transfer first before training but the plants were already ready for the first top but I felt the roots were not yet established enough to transfer, so I elected to top first, let the plants recover and then transplant. I have already flushed this medium well with pH'd water and flashkleen solution to prevent any previous issues with an alkaline medium causing a nutrient lockout. I think another week and the plants will be in the autopots.

Lastly in the Organic Tent™ the plants continue to develop. I have the pots and soil ready on standby to do the transfer once I feel like the roots are established enough as well.

Quick update. Big tent doing it's thing. I grow happier the more flower I see.

Smaller tent I have transplanted the ladies into the autopots. Going to top feed for about two weeks and then startup the reservoir.

Organic Tent™ I have transplanted into the 20L fabric pots. I am going to feed just pH'd water for about a week and then begin the BioBizz schedule, although I am going to try less per dose and see what happens. I'd like to point out one of the OMG plants that is looking hellah keen. Don't you just love it when a new strain starts showing great health and potential so soon?

Exactly 4 weeks and halfway through flower for the big tent ZxP. I've cleaned the bottom of the canopy a little bit every now and then and I think it's looking nice for the last half of flower. Good airflow and light penetration. Strong fade already but this has been an unfortunate result of the bad medium in the beginning. We will salvage as best as we can from this one.

1659127309553.thumb.jpg.9bb12d84a939340290839ff50b59e396.jpg 1659127309540.thumb.jpg.8efa77ebeca9b5a6e4b7e702d86ffe64.jpg

Smaller tent is coming along very well, probably one of the best veg periods I've had in a while😆 just goes to show you can't overlook anything when playing with the big boys. I am waiting for a bit more stretch and then I will throw in a net to start the spread and initial canopy.

1659127309511.thumb.jpg.e2f6281abe90ee7f2d6b3ab41cb80520.jpg 1659127309524.thumb.jpg.fdd9490f24f1339daa5196453e6493fa.jpg

Organic Tent™ has begun the first top and is recovering. The 4 OMG plants have some fat leaves and look good and green. There is a persistent issue with the Wedding Cake, even the mother continuously suffers from what looks like a calcium deficiency but no matter what the adjustment, the mother and clones will grow but they stay faded and almost look to have what seems to be like a mutation to the growth of the leaves. There is a very texture like feel to the leaves, like puffed up sorta. I spoke to a few growers at a get together and we think the cloning line has come to an end. She's tired, boss. So I am going to grow out these last two Wedding Cakes and then look for a replacement to the stable. The comparative growth to the fresh seeds growing alongside is enough justification to me.

Here's a thorough update. My small veg tent has some well established and trained dedicated mother plants and clones being taken every two weeks. I am doing this mostly for cloning practice and to guarantee I don't lose a potential harvest again because of delayed clones.

1660332997007.thumb.jpg.c2de54e768bfd32da3c22ac835f3bbaa.jpg

Other veg tent I am deciding on when to flip. I was thinking of considering it when the current feed in the reservoir finishes up, probably another week.

1660332997001.thumb.jpg.d480e683d6887e8a89852f40a68c2762.jpg

Some fun in the Organic Tent™. I have completed training on some of the plants that allowed it. Two of the OMG phenos are working really nicely with training, the other two have such tight internodal spacing that I am probably just going to top them once only. The two Wedding Cake clones in the center are doing well.

1660332996977.thumb.jpg.4aefd20c74102c0c408480356c73d9c4.jpg 1660332996988.thumb.jpg.9806c82994d7e70c15c76ad86d01e904.jpg

While training one of the OMG plants, I accidentally snapped off the one branch. I attempted to remedy it by sticking it back in place and supporting it, but it eventually just atrophied, so I shopped it off. This particular plant will then just have a single cola, lol.

Finally, we are at week 6 in the big flower tent. I've removed most of the big fan leaves. Trichomes are busting and the terpenes are great. Very Autumny colours this time around with the ZxP. I am really looking forward to this one. I have also invested in a trim bin to collect some dry hash that I would like to then press for dab. The remaining trim I would then like to make some infused sunflower oil with for some edibles.

sweet baby jesus 😍

how does one flag a photo, cause that sure looks like porn!

I can only wish to get mine to look like that! I'll get there one day though 😃

this can only be done with the right kinda passion. you have to think and plan ahead to make this shit happen. something a lot of people overlook. it doesn't get like this from winging it or doing the bare minimum and expecting the most. It's clear to see, this is pure understanding through love and passion for the craft.

a man high culture and even higher standards, they say!

gotta love to see it!

I've given the Organic Tent™ some attention today. I've repositioned the two Wedding Cake plants in the middle so that they do not overwhelm the OMG plants surrounding them and also removed more big fan leaves in general.

1660385378733.thumb.jpg.330395df7c45e50682dddcc14a695718.jpg

I'd also like to give an initial observation to the four OMG plants I've got going.

OMG #1: Super thicc edition. The internodal spacing on this plant is so tight that in the time I have grown an 8-way manifold on the other plants, this one is still stuck on just an initial top, so two main stems. I'm thinking of just keeping this one at two main colas so that it doesn't compete with itself too much and to also keep up in terms of height.

This pheno would be really good as a sea-of-green with many small pots and single colas. If this pheno rocks me dead then I'll keep it, otherwise I will be selecting for yield and training ability.

1660385378750.thumb.jpg.1d4bbb3829e0d0a7a2915f9264a6f1c4.jpg

OMG #2: Getting warmer. An 8-way manifold was achieved but it's still quite tight. This is as tight as I would want before I feel like the stems would begin heavily competing with each other. I've put a comparison photo next to the one below showing the difference between the OMG #2 and Wedding Cake behind it.

1660385378767.thumb.jpg.5a377c845fe2ff319577bdad5508ceac.jpg 1660385378758.thumb.jpg.81e05e1745c7441306fb3b655f87a1c4.jpg

OMG #3: The cripple. I broke this one while training and the attempted rescue of the stem failed. I might consider topping this one once again to get two colas, or I might just grow one cola. The internodal spacing on this one is also pretty tight so that's why I might lean towards just the one cola. I would say this one is between #1 and #2.

1660332996972.thumb.jpg.e392d1a3367b3fcd1a127244908c90eb.jpg

OMG #4: Probably the best one going so far in terms of veg growth and training. This one has the largest internodal spacing of the four OMG, but still tighter when in comparison to the Wedding Cake. If it were judged in terms of it's ability to achieve the 8-way manifold then this would be the one. If it yields quality flower it will be the keeper.

Entering week 9 of the ZxP, I have just chopped the plants and hung them in the tent.

I have also flipped the other two tents into flower. The one ZxP tent is suffering what appears to be the same issue as the big tent ZxP did with regards to a nute lockout. The runoff was also again very high pH. I've already flushed and refed fresh nutes and the new growth looks greener than the established growth, so I said yolo and flipped to flower.

After three days of trim jail, I weighed the latest harvest of the ZxP.

8 plants, 1.2x2.4 tent, 880W total LED power.

567g juicy nugs, 229g popcorn, 796g total.

Which makes it about 99.5g per plant. So close to triple digits 😜 Not a bad increase from 37g per plant from earlier this year.

I also decided to split the juicy nugs from the popcorn nugs because the popcorn nugs were big enough not to throw straight into the trim, but I wouldn't consider them... juicy. I think I might end up pressing all the popcorn.

I'm also going to attempt to collect some kief from the trim and press that as well. I have some collected kief already sitting in the trim bin I used for the latest harvest, I'll post an example of it below. I have my trim sitting in the fridge and I am going to run it through the trim bin again by just rubbing a handful at a time on the top sift. I should be able to get at least one press worth, I think.

Similar numbers, I just had 18 plants, otherwise as close.

You have similar numbers from 18 plants? or a similar number from 8 of those 18 plants?

Asking because I remember you said you just inoculate with enviroc microbes, what do you average per plant?

18 plants, in the same size tent. Got out about the same grams total, 30 to 40g a plant.

Sent juvenile plants to flower, and no cleaning or training of the plants.

I only use Explogrow now,

I'd say not bad, but watch my next grow💨

Ok I see, yeah that’s the usual number with plants without additional nutrients being added.

I’ve also been using Explogrow, but not regularly, I’ll do it like ever 3/4 weeks, before flower and transplants etc. Don’t know if it does anything, but I do want to start brewing my own microbe teas again, well more like a compost extracts, seen the best results from those.

yeah your plants definitely look bigger going into flower, at the end of the day, you cant expect big yields from small plants I guess.

all the best man 👍🏻

Your veg time must be way shorter than mine. I'm actually thinking of adding another 4 plants to the tent, similar style, but less veg. So from 8 plants to 12 plants total.

Was in a hurry to get them flowering,  so pushed early. More to get something to smoke, while other plants got bigger and ready. Now they almost at size I like ( December goals and targets).

But yeah, the smaller, more of, gets your bauds out quickly, and a wider selection, if your running many.

12 was perfect my one grow, size and time👌

Got another update lined up.

Big tent is reset and already housing the potential clones for the next run. Transplant into the autopots is not too far along from here. The max number of plants I am going to go for is 12 plants on this run, so only need to chuck out two clones. I can already see which ones won't make the cut 👹

1662965605098.thumb.jpg.b2d76ef17a003276733a26086c769a90.jpg

Smaller tent is on week 3 of flower and doing pretty well. The pH issue looks resolved. One plant in the corner is still a bit more faded than the rest but it's not terrible. When I look at this tent I wonder whether having more plants is necessary; four plants per 1.2m² has worked really well especially with the 99g per plant average I got last time. It does sound nice having a potential extra 180g+ to the harvest but looking at the below picture I can't see fitting in another two plants comfortably without risking a sharp rise in humidity and increased risk of PM, not without changing the grow style and decreasing the amount of toping to allow for horizontal space. Decreasing the toping will increase the bud size per plant, but also decrease the amount of veg time and overall plant size which if done correctly will output similar sized buds as now, but then the yield will also be similar. The only advantage would be less veg time, maybe. It'd really depend on how successfully timed the cloning is. Having a fast system or grow process doesn't really mean anything if the tent sits empty waiting for clones.

1662965605112.thumb.jpg.b718c3f655a04f2b2af55868cef76146.jpg

Organic Tent™ is pumping, but also not pumping. It is on week 3 of flower and the Wedding Cake clones in the middle are doing very well. Most comparable to the Wedding Cake clone growth is OMG #4 in the back right corner.

1662965605203.thumb.jpg.24256c4b38c770f9f12fcde6b45d026f.jpg 1662965605124.thumb.jpg.38fb5967ba28f021539681a069780dba.jpg

OMG #1 and #3 are both quite behind on any pistol development. They both fell behind in veg growth and I could not complete the intended shape of them and had to improvise. OMG #1 ended up with 6 main branches and OMG #3 has just a cluster of whatever the hell it's doing. I must try get in there and maybe chop the bottom branches off, but I want to see some more development first.

1662965605171.thumb.jpg.6dc5261120f1d831dec7c6f2bedc7246.jpg

1662965605145.thumb.jpg.adaf7e07a09403a32f38b6b9cd91ed0f.jpg 1662965605159.thumb.jpg.c987baafcd33d370586c813e11bf66c3.jpg

Lastly OMG #2 is somewhere in-between. I managed to get the shape I wanted but it grew slow and overall is smaller than desired. I need to do a little more work on the shape just to spread it more slightly, then it should be finalised.

Just raise the smaller plants to reach the canape.. they will fall more and more back if you don't lift em up. Will be happy to have 600 micromole PAR on right now.. not enough light.

Top tier suggestion 🕵️‍♂️ I've since raised the smaller plants up to canopy level.
