420sa put it on hold due to delayed results one of the months. It went over into entries for another month, as well as the Cannabist sponsor issue, which led to some unforseen issues. If I'm not mistaken, I think it stopped for just 1 month, and should be continuing this month... Just waiting on @420SA to get back to everyone with what's up. No problem man... Yeah I get you... A lot of people ordered and had effortless experiences in getting their seeds and stuff, but once Cannabist started falling behind and not responding to customers, it was game over. I, myself, had a delayed order with Cannabist when I recieved my prize for SOTM on 420sa, it took a couple weeks to get to me when people have been saying that Cannabist used to deliver in a few days - after I got my stuff, the complaints started rolling in about customers not receiving orders at all, or really late... Hey man... Well, to sum it up; There was a backlog of orders when Lockdown started, and a severe lack of customer service didn't help the situation any bit. Cannabist ultimately stopped replying everyone that's ordered before or placed a new order, with some of the older orders taking 2 months to reach their destination - if they did at all. I just received my seeds from cannabist 8 weeks after I placed my order. Have send 4 emails to find out what is happening.. NO A SINGLE REPLY. I DO NOt RECOMMEND ANYONE TO BUY FROM THEM. I have ordered many times from other seed banks like trophy seeds, sacred seeds, biltong and buds also greensmokeroomseeds. Had good service and fast delivery every time from all the above mentioned. But the best for me BILTONG AND BUDS.

Hi guys I started my first grow today in an 80cm x 80cm grow tent. I just did one seed for now but I'm hoping to do 2-3, I'm thinking 3 might be a bit much for my tent? My question is how many times do I need to transplant, and what pot sizes should I have? Howzit everyone, I'm starting my first grow this week and just have a few simple questions. I have a 36cm pot and some soil but I've been reading that it's better to start in something smaller? Would a cut plastic bottle with some holes at the bottom be fine for the beginning? I'm doing them in a spare cupboard, about 50cm x 50cm x 300cm. I have an MH bulb and a timer too, but my original plan was to grow outside before being convinced not to :P I'm going to start germinating tonight, so far what looks like the best method to me is putting it in water for 24 hours then putting in moist paper towels in a zip lock bag for a few days. If anyone thinks there's a better method for me to use please let me know. Here's a list of what I have to work with (a lot of this stuff was given to me by a buddy of mine so not entirely sure what it's all for just yet haha) Strawberry Banana Cheese Feminised seeds Nitrosol Organic fertiliser 85W 6400k Fluorescent CFL Liquid PH Up & Down PH testing kit Analogue timer 46cm pot Potting soil (pics attached) Soil and room temp thermometers TLDR: Basically what I'm asking is: * Is this germination method okay?: Putting it in water for 24 hours then putting in moist paper towels in a zip lock bag for a few days. * Is my pot too big for these seeds right now? As anticipated, people are still joining up to vent their frustrations with Cannabist... rightfully so! I would too... To avoid a pile up of related threads I am creating this post for members to link to when necessary, shortly thereafter the thread will be deleted. The situation It's gotten to the point where the number almost seems like hundreds, but there have been a very large of number of people who have joined 420SA to find out what they can do about their order that has not been fulfilled by Cannabist. This has been going on months now after the lockdown started and the common thread that has developed is that there is ZERO communication from Cannabist and this can draw out for weeks, even months. What's their excuse? Their excuse is the lockdown... a terrible excuse but it's their excuse nonetheless. Have you been scammed? No.... well at least not from the onset and Cannabist has been operating legitimately for the last year or so. We suspect there may be a break in their supply chain, a terrible error of judgement on their part which has screwed everyone over including themself. They are for the most part a drop shipping bank i.e. they take your money, pay it onto their supplier who will then send the seeds. Something has gone very wrong in the whole process So what now? Firstly, drop your expectations of being helped soon. They seem in no rush to value you as a customer and will not rush to inform you of when you might be getting your seeds. As they are a seedbank you unfortunately don't have the consumer protection act to help you, although I'm not 100% clued up on that. We'd suggest that you pursue other seeds in the mean while but continue to put pressure on them to fulfill your order. Put pressure on OZOW to remove them Ozow is a payment platform they recently signed up. Alert them to your situation and get other buyers to do the same! https://ozow.com/ Good luck out there!

Bro... There has been many a thread started for this very reason. Unfortunately no one can get hold of Cannabist anymore to get any feedback on orders and he has been removed from the 420sa forum as a vendor. At this point, I would sadly suggest that you cut your losses, and try sourcing some seeds from@Totemic or have a look at our best local seedbank thread - members are posting their experiences all the time. A quick search for threads on 420sa about Cannabist would've given you the info you need as the only threads you'll find going a month or 2 back are of customers complaining about the lack of communication and customer service. Its just a shame. Many of our members have gone through what you're going through and have lost faith in trying to contact Cannabist on any platform. I, for one, was on his side and even I saw that it was becoming ridiculous. I now advise people to rather stay away. It is possible for him to right his wrongs and reinvent his brand or whatever, but it's not gonna happen any time soon by how things have been looking. Edit: Please note 420sa is in no way associated with Cannabist. He simply possessed a vendors license for this site and it was not renewed once it expired. Hi, I ordered some seeds from Cannabist.co.za on 22 June 2020. Made the payment and received order number. I have written 4 emails to them to find out what is the delay. I have not received a single reply. Has anyone had any similar experiences with Cannabist.co.za? I understand due to covid-19 there's going to be some issues, but not responding to a customers emails..... I have tried most of the seedbanks in south africa and must say never had any problems with other seed banks. Please let me know what you think Thanks

Think we are done here. I doubt @Cannabist would ever reply here again, their vendor section has ended and this isn't their site.

One more thing (apologies about the harping) I even referred a friend because I was impressed with the service, now I'm scared to ask if the friend is having the same issue. In all honesty, if @Cannabist could resolve this in a timely/professional manner, i will continue to supporting him. (granted communication is improved) Please Please @Cannabist you made a good impression with what would be a good recurring client, dont go and mess it up. Unfortunate. Could have been a good service. Anyway 5 regular beans. They all popped beautifully and 2 made it through the cold. But now they have a home atleast. Fingers crossed for females

Prefer fabric Woolies carrier bags to plastic, 25lt buckets and 60lit tubs. Also have some 20lit fabric pots from cannabist, they all work for us. Carrying them is difficult and it will prove a task if you have 10 or more plants to move every day. Some plants will only yield about 30-40gr dry, but I've managed more than 200gr off some plants in 25lt bag and 60lt tub respectively. It depends on so many factors. Grower on the cannabist area said he had bought from him, and was local and collected it in person. Not sure if he has had time to grow it and if I can find that post, will link you to it. At least legit in that there was a successful transaction.

I actually had 2 friends that bought separate QB setups from them. 1 went smoothly and without a hitch... the other not so much. The order in question was a 120w lm301h QB with additional red and UV. The light came in at R3000 (since then the price has bumped up to R3600) After some emails to confirm the order my friend received confirmation that the order will be delayed till the end of the month due to lockdown and Covid-19 implications. Which was totally understandable. They offered a full refund or free delivery and 5 free seeds from Bulk Seed bank asdvertised for sale on their website. Happy with the purchase and willing to wait he opted for the free seeds. The order eventually arrived but without the seeds as promised. The light was atleast a decent true representation of the advertised piece even though there is only 1 picture on their website to compare it with... After 3 unanswered emails to enquire on the seeds my friend is still waiting.. in this case I think there is just too much on offer product wise and too little on offer customer service wise. With the cannabis industry booming in SA it is easy to see a great business opportunity to try and flog products to avid customers. The problem lies in the business ethic and integrity of the company/person you are dealing with. If a product is unavailable mark it as out of stock. If it is a made to order product, make a note on the product description to state the same. If you delay an order and offer a comprise, keep to your promise... just keep it real and the support of your business will grow.. Or else you might just get screwed like Cannabist..

On my friends side... no refund, no lamp.. just more emails to say sorry. Time just passes.. they ruined him a grow with their lies and moron circus, selfish little pricks. If nothing is coming this week, Police gets involved. Fun is over.. I actually start to get mad now.. how can you not be able to do what you promise for 2 weeks??? God damn liars... sorry.. supporting those dudes is just not good for the grow community.. like Cannabist.. the name is gone by now.
