Also thanks for the links to the collective and sound system, wikipedia's
There's also a video on YouTube somewhere about HAZ Manor and Exodus.
@Golden-Goose Sensi seed bank didn't exist until 1991.
In 1991, Ben bought the Seed Bank from its owner (another breeder who received the US genetics in the Eighties) and the gene-stock of the two companies was merged to form the Sensi Seed Bank we know today.

Another close friend of mine, known as “Of the HillThis person is called Jim Brightside and if I read that weed world story correctly, that would bring it up to 1998/99 when Brightside gave the cheese to Exodus. They made their own crosses and gave them out and then the Exodus collective disbanded in 2000.
Some of the popular exodus crosses still around are called Nelly, Jah, Windows, Suicide and Psychosis. They used pollen from other Sensi strains like NL, NL#5 x Haze, Shiva Skunk to make their crosses.

A quick midweek update. It's the only girl to show so far.
These are f2's of a variety called Zain, from Gage Green Genetics. Its a cross between their ghost og/ad hoc and a male Malawi, from Cannabiogen (Ace Seeds). I threw away 2 males already and am still waiting for pre-flowers to show on the other 2 plants.
I got a sample of this root stimulator from the grow shop. Its high in phosphate, along with amino and humic acids. I can't work out if it means 1-2 g per litre , or 0.5 g per litre? I will give it a go with the next round of clones and compare it against the kelpak and aminomix that I use now.

If he says he used an 87 Exo cut then I believe him.
"Exodus Collective was a community collective and sound system formed in 1992"
I think he's giving you a story, because the cuttings given out from exodus were all crosses they made with the cheese. "Nelly" was their NL/Cheese cross, for example.

They are fantastic breeders and Nibiru is a lucky guy. I'm excited about the big Buddha plants I have, but time will tell.

I know that the cheese that came to Cape Town, way back when, was in seed form. The grower had 2 seeds and the one female was what spread like wildfire around town. There were already 2 seedbanks selling cheese pips, before it came down this way. Homegrown fantaseeds were the first and then Big Buddha won a prize at the cannabis cup, in 2005.
Any stories of original exodus clones in Cape Town should be taken with a massive pinch of salt.

I've just finished my BB Cheese supply and it will be interesting to see the difference yes.
Sannies, oh brother, what can I say that you havent already
What did you think of the Big Buddha Cheese? Did you find a keeper, or not?
Every seed company has got a different story about the origins of cheese. This OSC company in Barcelona says something about the 1987 cheese. Its all stories to market their pips IMO.
Sannie's is one of the best breeders our there. Killing Fields is my favourite from their collection. Are you a sativa lover? I can highly recommend the KF, its top shelf weed.

Calmag and Epsom reacts and precipitates out when mixed.
Calcium and sulphur fall out of suspension when you mix them. The white precipitate is gypsum.
21 minutes ago, The_StonedTrooper said:Why would you mix Epsom salts, with CalMag? Since the latter is a mix of the 2, you already have Magnesium in the Calcium mix.
Cal mag is mixture of calcium nitrate and magnesium nitrate. There's no Epsom salts in calmag.

These plants are gunning it now, I'm impressed at how big they've stretched up. This is going to be a good yield hopefully.

Good luck with your grow. That looks like a delicious selection. Sannie's has never disappointed me and I'm keen to see how your cheese turns out, compared to my Big Buddha version.

How much of a difference does it make? Has anyone done a side by side?
I've started a side by side test with a few different sized plants.
First up are the freshly potted clones. Both trays are identical plants and potting mix, I fed the plants with a sprinkle of ferts on top. One tray is getting water straight from the tap and the other is on de-chlorinated water.
I used vitamin c to take the chlorine out instantly. 1000 mg is enough for 200 litres of tap water.
These are the other ones that I chose for this side by side test.

feel free to scan through this thread where I show what my 50w did for me
Thanks for you help. I will have a read up through the thread you linked.

@The Grass Baas thanks for the reply. I appreciate your advice. I have a spare 150 W driver, so if I can find some more LED strips then I will build another identical light and that will push me up to 450 Watts over the veg area. Cheers dude

there is a forum member who had one of these, lasted less than a month.
Thanks for the warning, I won't be buying any now. I was tempted to go for a couple of the 50 Watters to boost my veg lights.
Do the ones from AC DC last for longer than a month?

Yes, 3 of those 50w's seem more appropriate, but then why not just go for the 150w for R390?3 x the 50w will set you back R570. +/- R180 difference.
I found another option for the cheapy bargain veg light. 375 bucks for 200 W or 275 for the 100 W.

Can't be can it?
Whorled Phylotaxy plants start showing the trait immediately
Hello iGD. like you said, sometimes they start off with 3 cotyledons, but it does also happen while the plant grows. Single branches can show differing phyllotaxy and it can also grow out and the branches revert back to normal growth again.
8 hours ago, Totemic said:Whorled phylotaxy is a genetic mutation
Hey Totemic, I didn't mean it as a diss against you, that's just my observation. I've got some of your fems growing too and I am enjoying watching this competition.
I have seen it before with polyhybrid plants. Sometimes they self top and stay like dwarves, or they can stack up and produce better than average.
Maybe there's an environmental trigger like the cold weather, or the hormones in kelpak that set it off?
4 hours ago, SkunkPharm said:I only topped the plant above the node. it did not self top. But never the less it is an interesting plant.
They are all looking really good, so far. I wonder what effect topping her will have. Any predictions?

I don't have much to show, apart from my vegging room.
The odd branch grows at right angles and is webbed at the join.
Some root porn
Good luck to all who entered.

They are looking great, do you turn the lights up as they flower?

This week's updates. Still vegging the two biggest, and the Buddha Cheese are still growing.I didn't water since the rains. Humidity has been up high, so the plants have been hungrier this week. I will give more 5 3 5 to the smallest ones, just a teaspoon for the 3 litre potsHigh humidity has been good for the root growth.
The pheno hunt is still on. Seedlings are still alive
Germination test on the new mixture.Happy growing everybody.

Anyway, if the conversation is about water plants with tap water because you need chlorine from a thumb suck. Ill pass
The point was that tap water doesn't harm soil bacteria, because my pots are full of life. I haven't got a clue what a chlorine deficiency looks like and its never crossed my mind.

So.. this escalated quickly lol.
I bought a second tent, Mars Hydro 60x60x140cm. This will be for the mother.
Then I'll take clones and veg them a bit in my main tent then flip to flower. Not sure if I should lollipop yet or not but I'll get to that when the time comes.
Then for now while I'm still looking for a strain that's perfect for me I'll give the mother to a mate so he can flower it and then I'll start growing the mother for the next strain I want to try out.
Thanks for all the help guys!!
@Adansonia digitata @Prom @CreX @PsyCLown @GGG @Twix Aphen
If you want to grow in perpetuity then split the new veg tent into a mother/ cloning double story.

@PsyCLown if you can keep the sea of green rolling it is very efficient. Especially when you can harvest every week and replace what you cut, straight away.
