  1. Disclaimer - I'm not sure the source from where this article was created but this is ground breaking news as this is more progressive than Ive ever heard coming out of one of these committee meeting, this may have been at the end of the Portfolio committee meeting for public hearings, but its only coming out now after the latest and greatest already came out of the public comment reviews, this may have been a separate discussion with stakeholders and MPs, some real discussion it seems. Read below, article form Cannbiz New africa Brett hilton Barber. State Concedes that Private Cannabis Clubs Might Be a Good Idea After All! Senior State Advocate Sarel Robbertse has unwittingly provided ammunition for The Haze Club (THC) director Neil Liddell’s Cape High Court application to have Private Cannabis Clubs (PCC’s) declared legal once and for all. Lidell’s case comes up on Monday 6 June 2022, just days after Robbertse told Parliament that PCCs may be a valuable tool in allowing cannabis consumers who did not have access to private property to have an alternative mechanism. Cannabis Bill Kicked into Touch – Will Resurface in Parliament in August Senior State Law Advisor Sarel Robbertse has been given two and a half months to make the Cannabis for Private Purposes Bill (CPPB) fit for purpose. Parliament’s Justice and Correctional Services Portfolio Committee met on Tuesday to hear how the State would respond to private stakeholder input on the Bill, which in its current state is clearly unconstitutional . Robbertse’s rambling response did not instil confidence in the Committee, and although he asked for 10 days to get the legislation in order, Committee chair Bulelani Mgwanashe thought it best he take more time and present again in August 2022, after the Parliamentary recess. To what extent the new version of the Bill will incorporate the work done by the Private Sector Working Group’s (PSWG) legal team is at this stage unclear, but what is clear is that Friends of Hemp South Africa co-founder M Ayanda Bam, has played a major role behind the scenes in getting an over-arching cannabis regulatory framework developed that will eventually replace the CPPB. Justice Department Says It’s Not the Right Authority to Regulate Cannabis The Justice Department has finally admitted that it is not the right body to regulate cannabis. Robbertse was at pains to point out to MP’s that he was justified in taking a narrow view of the Prince Judgement and his job was to enable legislation that allowed consenting adults to consume cannabis in private. He wasn’t expecting to have to take on the rights of traditional growers and healers, public use by the Ras Tafari and other cultural communities, as well as Private Cannabis Clubs. All that, said Robbertse, was for other Government Departments to pass appropriate legislation. Important note – it may actually be happening! Robbertse told the Committee in passing, that he was also working on amending the Drugs and Drug Trafficking Act, which industry stakeholders have identified as a major stumbling block to getting a cannabis economy going. Big Issue Coming Up: Cannabis Legalization and Substance Abuse by Youth One of the main issues Government is having to tackle is how it deals with kids, cannabis and the criminal justice system . There is evidence from abroad that decriminalization can lead to an increase in substance abuse amongst teenagers, and in South Africa it has to be taken into consideration that cannabis is the most widely-used illicit substance, and is a foundation ingredient in harder drugs like whoonga and nyaope. Portfolio committee MP Steve Swart is rightly raising alarm bells as to how cannabis legalization could harm kids.
  2. Hello Ron! Nice to meet you, post your grows many people with much help around here and very ready to assist if needed
  3. I really hope some concrete information comes from this in the name of progress ☝
  4. Goodluck! All should work well, give it a go, dig into the threads for information, and good ol Google for any need to knows post some pics and we can also give some pointers where possible. first you want to soak some seeds, or sow straight, I recommend soaking for 12 hours in plain water that’s been sitting for atleast a day. Then prep the soil, water it with about 5 - 10%, should get you through to past seedling stage, quite easily, orgasoil lux will most likely need to be watered thoroughly, go on the 15 - 20 percent actually; let it sit for a week in some sun. Maybe plant some companion plants, then plant a week - week and half later, will make for a better environment for the autos. then don’t feed that soil for a good 4-5 weeks plant with mycorrhizal fungi
  5. Abit further along, May loose the Gg to make space
  6. Awehhh gardeners of the future! We still outdoors and have just cut down small baby plants, not a good reflection of these genetics but now running these cuts about revegged. Let’s see if they are anything to go by, at the moment I’m neither here nor there about them, but still got seeds, let’s see how go on a proper run. pictured in the tent, crepes by lit farms, lotus head x Wilson, Wilson x slurri, Gg#4 (not happy) that’s the death corner Lekke weekend ahead
  7. Now that is a good size, you should be ready to flip within a month.
  8. Another half ass update, it’s just so wet outside, all day long so I really am quite done with these plants lol but here goes Some of the plants are close to done, other are really taking long, so I may harvest what I can this weekend or next and update on the bud I get out, just to note the experiment plant of the gorilla glue, is in limbo land and I’m sure she will stay like that for a good forever, so I’m also just gona composting her, unfortunate but ya, the 2 sugar widows coming out nicely
  9. What light hours are you running for these autos?
  10. @Naughty.Psychonaut When you read an article that township man kills his mother for R10 to go buy dagga, you just know.
  11. Ya but you might want to consider a trelles net, those branches won't hold them selves up for much longer.
  12. All the best bru, lucky we all know you personally and will surely still be able to get some of those awesome genetics, what ever the future holds, it must include your strains I hope! this doesn’t necessary mean you are stopping what you are doing with breeding? If you are closing the store.l? I dono, I’m making assumptions.
  13. Sick winter colours coming through from the cold, my outdoor also did a small winter purps, yours looks quite pronounced
  14. Great stuff man! Yea that should be super successful. You can be prepared for a bit longer veg time with 4 plants. but should be quick fast with the auto pots. I find the best way to train them lekke is with a Scrog fence like how that Mr OG @GGG used to smash it. Nice man, will keep an eye out for this.
  15. Here's a thought, because you actually have a perpetual grow going. And a nice mother tent. If I recall correctly you are vegging in the mother tent and then pushing them into the flower tent to do their thing. This is just an suggestion if you possibly have thought about it before. It could be quite beneficial. Let all your plants that you currently have flowering finish, and while you are waiting, prepare 18 clones, to go in there all at once, then give them a decent veg time, this will also reduce the stress factor of a new environment and photoperiod switch, which in my experience has always hindered the stretch phase. Its a pretty time efficient option I think, A, because you using the auto pots and B, you have the space to get them to a more than decent size before the final transplant. Not that you aren't having success already, the buds say it all Just want to clarify, you know this forum and its feelings. Ya anyway for what its worth, just thought id offer my opinion.
  16. So you averaging 37g per plant in that setting. Its not too bad as you style is basically SOG? So more consecutive harvests right?
  17. Ya that doesn't look great, all I read was 10 x 20l containers with weed in them, that's definitely a large amount
  18. You can keep a plant on 12/12 from seed until it starts flowering. But I highly doubt that will be 2 week in total. The seedling have not reached sexual maturity yet in my experience. They will start to flower once they are past the seedling stage, depending on your environment and the circumstance, it will start flowering from 3/4 weeks after germ.
  19. Was too tempted to take a pic of this just because… rooooots
  20. Whoop whoop nice bro! Will keep an eye out for the unboxing
  21. I have also been checking that light out, don’t know if the diodes matter too much, but surely enough to be mentioned or named atleast.
  22. Wilson zero x slurri ,out of 2, my 1 keeper Lotus head x Wilson, 2 phenos, one of the keepers wedding cake reg lekker weekend ahead
  23. Hello 420sa members, Sunday is always a good day for a small bit of gardening, my garden is a wreck at the moment, but we are still kicking, some updates on the plants, I think they are flowering better here, let’s see how it goes. the experiment plant of the Gg#4 clone is setting up for its second flower and I couldn’t leave it in its 10l pot as I would certainly run into issues, so I gave her the 40l of used soil well depleted, and will still be feeding, now more aggressively, they both will it 1ml p/L today. Gg#4 experiment plant, then cut off all the lady bits and topped her so let’s see how that does for her Gg#4 control buds sugar widow control, starting to make her way into flowering, nice stack on this plants, nice leaves Sugar widow control , getting some frost very similar Structure also stacks very well, these plants are the type I’d definitely want to grow again @Totemic and pm is running wild in these parts but we treating as we go and they are surviving. Yielded a Gg#4 experiment tester, this one with nutes, let’s see how she smokes, I will be honest
