  1. Here we are on week 3 One control plant is massive and the other one has been topped of her soul, then both experiment plants are growing fire
  2. Blessing to all you green buddies! I hope the weekend has been one for the garden, I’ve moved some girls around to make space for new endeavours. These girls outside we have the Jelly breath and Dqxslurri flowering but bearly, they should be done in actual fact but the LED street lights don’t make flowering smooth sailing, plus too the powdery mildew is coming to bite us, but I’m positive we can maybe get to the end just moving the jelly breath under the shading of the greenhouse initiated flower properly, which was actually a second flower stretch, so she turned out big. these small girls were treated quite badly but I needed a solid cutting, so we can’t really worry too much about them, will be running the clones that are somewhat worthy. Then we got a new light, I’m collecting equipment so I may be putting stuff up for sale soon. It’s a 650w LED lamp, lm281B diodes run on 2 individual 320w JUSON drivers and individual dimmers setting which is very useful in my opinion. Will be running some dqxslurri short in here I think that’s all to report, ps, the weekend is over yet
  3. Na don’t stress, it will be more visible which way to proceed once the stretch happens, I think you still in a good place
  4. Hello bud, so depending on your medium and the structure you have created, your medium will dry up or stay wet all hinged on above factors, also the size of your plant. letting you medium dry up completely in a living soil takes much longer than any other conventional method of growing I have found, due to the fact that living soils contain more organic matter than most soils. They are naturally better at keeping water in the system. Water logging living soil is also the easiest thing any grower can do and does because they are afraid of letting the soil dry out too much. my advise is to stop worrying about under watering completely and every-time you want to water or not sure if you should, wait another day. Or get a moisture probe, even the lightest pots can still make that needle jump. keeping living soil aerobic as best you can is very important.
  5. You gna have to be unforgiving with the pruining of that dqxslurri, the internodal spaces are none existent
  6. Cool stuff bud! Welcome to the forum
  7. Ya I also thought 50g was a lot, but if you just growing your own strains and could enter what ever it is doin the rounds i'm sure you could put 50g together quite easily.
  8. Plants are in 2 weeks flower now, experiment plants upfront, control above and to the right. This experiment might finish outside.
  9. Bru my propagation station needed a intake, and a filter of sorts. Those bathroom fans are 150mm, only 100mm ducting would fit through the Propogation tent holes. So I needed a reducer of sorts as well as a filter. Pantyhose check, plastic 2l pot, cut the bottom out with a scalpel and boooyaaa reducer check... When there's a will there a way.
  10. Air intake needs not much effort in purification if its a small scale grow. I have 100mm fan from H2gro, and I wrap a bug mesh over it so it doesn't suck in any undesirables, a more permanent and effective solution would be a standard carbon filter. These HEPA filters are for GMP standards, so if you growing some home grown medical marijuana. BY all means
  11. Nice points, I have read and think I understand all your views which is good info, and valid stuff. So if you talking perpetually, then there are other factors that come in as well, so veg to flower, with all considerations is where I’m thinking to have it solely based on performance in that space kind of. However, either way you look at it. There is more than likely a transplant that will happen, I’ve seen really good results transplanting into the bigger sizes from start, however I’m not feeding. I would ideally like veg and flower to be in the same place, which will definitely maximise probability of higher yields. Then have tents overlap in harvests,
  12. I do not think I've seen too many topics or conversations to this regard. Could be helpful to some. In my mind, 1m2 is almost the most ideal space for 4 plants, or even 1,2m2. The whole idea obviously when it comes to growing and being as efficient as possible is to fill the space per say. And this will give you the best result. Fill the canopy rather. Then many factor come into play. The power of your light(s). The coverage. The strain. Do you have your environment in check? all the rest... There are unlimited options when it comes to growing plants for a desired outcome and this all comes back to relevance in your current space, ours being South Africa. In the states, you see many people adhering to a plant count and making sure they are somewhat abiding by the amount of plants they may have. Not all cases are relevant to the topic and some people are doing what they have been doing and will not change until by means of force if that day ever comes or these matters are taken that seriously over there. I see our government are still serious about locking growers up all in the name of intimidation as these things go nowhere, based on the seriousness of the offence. This is all in the name of feasibility in our current situation with the unreasonable guidelines we have been given. So back to filling the space. We are allowed 8 flowering plants. I've seen some growers absolutely smash it out of the park with 8 plants. I don't think I remember there being anything said about how big the plants are allowed to be, but then again, time elapsed would balance things out quite a bit. For a bit of a conversation base or some back and forth. Lets look at a very specific example. and Give 3 scenarios for this set up and see what would prove to be the best result. Yes this is for growing the most possible cannabis, as we smoke a lot and there is only so many Gs you can harvest at one time. The tent size is 1,2m2 - 480W bar LED for best coverage. Scenario #1 - 4 plants, each plant is in 20L pots (organic or salt nutrient) Scenario #2 - 9 plants, each plant in 10L pots (organic or salt nutrient) Scenario #3 - 4 plants, each in 40L pots (organic or salt nutrient) There is no right answer, there is however 1 illegal one (not yet actually), but I cant imagine 8 plants making a perfect square. These are the types of things I like to think about. More plants obviously mean quicker cycles and more harvests, significantly easier to fill the space. Growing few big plants can prove time consuming, but rewarding at the end of the day. But do you actually fill the place, more importantly, is your concentration of buds the same if were grown sea of green, also quality of bud. All these pros and cons, if anybody would like to add in any additional information, please do. There is not right or wrong answer once again, this is all just for conversation. I've seen 20 x 10l pots in 1,2m2, and honestly the thought of that management makes me sick, with my style of growing. But I don't think you would be disappointed at the end, given everything goes smoothly. If you have some scenarios that you think could be absolute winners, lets hear them.
  13. Mid week update - can’t wait for the gender reveal party , still waiting.
  14. Week 7, the sherbet crasher has definitely been in the tent way too long, It should have been cut down long ago. However the plants are nearing the end so just going to wait a few more weeks. As for the others, I cannot wait for the rerun. And then this was actually about the soil recipe, I’m happy with the recipe, just would possibly have done a few things differently. This is just something I’m pondering as some plants were happy in the soil and others not so much, some neither here nor there. once the run is complete, I will decide weather I will be adding in optional recipes similar to this one, but just more forgiving.
  15. Quick update, every time I water the other plants, these get 1/4 dose of bloom nutes. They seem to be responding well, will move to half dose at 3 weeks
  16. yeah lol, I get quite annoyed when shit like this happens, and I certainly brought these fuckers in from a friend of mine who gave me a cutting of CREPES from Lit farms, this I still cant guarantee, but those bugs were on it when it arrived. Now they wrecking the flowering plants. They will have to run their course until I harvest, which I too am still excited for.
  17. Ya don't stress. my plants are not looking the best, got some lekke bugs fucking up my run at the moment. Some plants play host at the moment and now its really getting out of control. anyways.
  18. Well that’s what happens when you use logic and think 2 steps ahead. Just think for a minute, if “I” continually don’t honour what I’ve agreed to doing, people are going to sooner or later think I’m a doos.
  19. Not the end of the world, maybe a rerun will prove for better results as you say, but other plants looking fire! my gg#4 is looking quite promising I’m happy to confess, nice terps too.
  20. Haha once a cannabist, always a cannabist
  21. Shalom gardeners Week 1 done. happy weekend
  22. First feed happened Monday the 21st, .025ml of Floro coco bloom per Litre of water. First 1/2 of week 1 flower done
